I am recording through my rode nt1-1 into logic but the level is low. is there a setting i need to do so that i dont pump up the gain on my ,i need to increase the volume of my song, because with too much gain i hear a distorted sound. i recorded only one channel ! bcz it's a slam kind of deaf poetry !

@mounireality Thanks for the comment, what have you got the microphone plugged into (just so i have an idea of what the problem may be) is phantom power turned on? also, once it's recorded in, you can boost the signal by adding compression to the track, also think about turning the other tracks down so that it sits well and then boost the overall track on the stereo output channel with a compressor and limiter..

I'm really impressed. Did u use the synths within logic? Or did you use a plugin for the synths. Do you record your vocals in an iso booth or with some kind of reflection filter?

@MmaNcovers Thanks, yes, I used the software synths in logic (ES2, ES1, ES P) i either used a preset that i then modified, or created the final sound from the initial synth sound

I record vocals in my bedroom with a Rode NT1-A and a popshield, nothing else... the rest is all down to editing within Logic (Compression, Gating, EQ)

@lolonai hey, sorry for the late reply! i use a Late 2009 MacBook Pro, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram.. it's alright most of the time, but does tend to struggle at times on larger projects (30+ tracks)
