  • I play football and have all kinds of problems with ankles and shins.. tried every manner of corrective thing, footware.. Im switching to high fruit and raw soon , is there any benefits to the joints and flexibility with this diet as I think my problems may be nutritional and possibly lack of flexibility in certain muscles.

keep up the good work mate

  • harley you fat Fuck mate!! take it easy on the lean Beef and Chicken Jeeez:)

  • Just wanted to come back to say "thank you" for having taken the time to answer my question. Much appreciation to you, Harley. It's awesome that you do that.

Love all your educational and inspiring videos!!!!!

  • Harley, I am a beginner in raw vegan... I know you've been doing this for years, but what do you recommend to push through those cravings/addictions to the processed, refined sugar foods in the beginning? (I'm reading 80/10/10.) Thanks

  • @abjkl Count how many calories you normally eat for breakfast and then replace the SAME cals with fruit.

Its physiology man. Meet your bodies need for whole food carbs or keep craving shit. :)

  • yeeeah good video bro good video, just watched it, was good stuff. gonna buy me one of those watches. pretty good video mate yeah gonna get me one of those garmens and go runnin. thought the video was good bro yeah, that farkin watch looks good what's it called again?

  • Lookiing fit man!

  • So what should I plant when?!?

  • nice try, Fränk Schleck. I know you are a cyclist

  • You repeated yourself 10x.

  • if that 'garmin' company doesn't sponsor you they are really missing out...love you man !!

  • @frnknsns Im not sponsored by Garmin in any way. Besides, I can only wear one Garmin 310xt at a time anyways lol!

I just think its a great product and its helped me smash my pb's apart. I just want to spread good word about good product to help others.

  • Why does my ankles burn when i run though? They become like stones lol they get numb and burn hella

  • Co-sign: I began running March '10. Ran a marathon March '11. 'Ran by feel' most of last year. I proved to myself I can go the distance, but my performance plateaued. I got a Polar in November & started training by heart rate. In only a few months, it's made all the difference in the world.

  • Great Video! Also, how much do you weigh?

  • Oh yea BTW: Awesome video. Although video was kinda short and left lost of things openended. Atleast for someone like me, that runs but never followed a program or had a watch..

  • I am really confused Harely? I have be running for some years without any program or watch.. I can see what you are saying and makes total sense.. Do you have the pulsmonitor strap and footpod as well? Are those to things must haves for the watch?

  • @durianriders, you recommend following a runner's program... would you please elaborate or recommend one for newbies like me. i've never heard of that before. you're inspiring.

  • @durianriders, looking exceptionally ripped man! walking the talk for sure. whats your height/weight at here? thanks for sharing.

  • hasn't anyone ever heard of running by FUN?!?!?

  • @melzio69 I run for fun everytime I hit the road & trail. Its like gardening, do it for fun BUT follow a programme so you get the most fruit for your sweats...

    Thats BONUS fun! :)

  • @durianriders Whew! That's a relief. I love sports and my dream is to become a fitness intructor. The main thing i advocate is enjoyment. But yes, following a programme does def. help and makes the performance of your fun so much better. Thanks for responding. sorry if this reply is a little late. =]

  • Please do more videos on running technique!

These videos really inspire and help beginning vegan runners!

  • Harley looks like 25

  • most objective information you can get on the internet, thanks Harley

  • ***Impressed*** :-)

  • U look great, keep up the great work.

  • Harley, what about breathing techniques for running or riding?

  • what does pb mean? It looks like time.. but I donno.

  • @MsLaurenPanda pb = personal best

  • @MsLaurenPanda personal best

  • Harley, what's the specifics of the device? Full name, where to get it? Is it good for ladies, too? I've resolved to run half a marathon in May, will start training next month. I've never run :D I just do HIIT workouts, so I'm a newbie in running. Appreciate your help :)

  • @durianriders Have you ever used sprinting for your training?

  • Lookin good, moyt

  • @MsIrishtwins

Yeah. As the vastly experienced [40 YEARS + OF HEALING ALL DISEASES] Robert Morse ND would say, move that lymph! Not by running but by detoxing your kidneys and adrenals [take herbs], which then detox your body. Take it easy until you have really got the detox going. Exercise creates lactic acid.

or take Harley's advice and exercise! as he says: experiment. Go for a run when your back hurts then see how you feel. Better? Worse? Kidney cleanse, dear one ;D Well done going 30BaD

  • Does this recommendation apply to women or does Garmin make something equal to it for women? Thanks.

  • @atyoda why would women need a different watch or programme to men? lol!

Look at the WR women run. Its almost as fast as the men. Same training, drugs, diet and pacing though.

  • @durianriders I just was wondering if they had one with a smaller face.It is pretty big.

  • Thanks Harley!

You are the BEST! This is my 5th year as a vegan and my 1st year as a runner! It has improved me profoundly! You & Freelee have inspired me a lot!

    Love Ruthie from California

  • man you looked ripped

  • Please give us some workout tips/video's. Your body is great. What are your thought's on alcohol????

  • I was looking at the Garmin 910XT to use for cycling and running. Do you use a separate Garmin for your cycling?

  • Can we see your workouts online?

  • Run by heartrate, measure your gains within your heart zones, run slow

  • Im VERY new to running.and I dont have the money for the garmin 310xt now. Are there are cheaper ones that are still good to use? Thanks for the help! :-)

  • @ethanyoga the Garmin FR60 is a decent enough watch to start out with. It comes w/strap,pod,USB stick, is easy to use, and cost about $100.

If that's still too much then just go with a heartrate monitor ( with strap!). There are

plenty of good ones for half the money. Make sure you calculate ( you can do this online ) your min/max/zone as accurately as possible and take notes on your progress.

Have fun, start slow!! Remember, the heartrate monitor is your best friend :)

  • @journeyin2space thanks for this info! It saved me ALLOT of time, and money :-)

  • Does it have a backlight? I only ever run when it's dark

  • Comment removed

  • Aaha! So you shave your legs then! I've always wondered how many ms you'd actually save riding by having slightly smoother legs... surely the minor gain would be made negligible by existence of one's torso?

  • Wholy fuc! SC iENCE

  • @MsIrishtwins I felt sick and low on energy for 2 weeks when switched to high carb vegan (mostly raw), now im not sick anymore and got crazy levels of energy :] I eat mostly bananas, dates, raisins and some cooked rice every other day, other than that i eat some greens and nuts.

  • DR, Is Andy Schleck gonna with the TDF this year?

  • Harely's cut up like Bruce Lee.

  • @edstar83 hahaha the truth!! REspect Harley!

  • Hey DR, does your Garmin require a chest strap that measures your heart rate?

As a girl I find these straps so uncomfortable under a sports bra (causes chafing during longer runs) and I wonder whether there is a gadget that is *just* a watch, no other thing needed?

  • @durianriders thanks heaps DR. Im still running round after my two toddlers and walking round uni and the billion steps there so im still moving. will keep up with that and run when i feel my legs coming back to me. thanks heaps :)

  • looking good man ! Has anyone heard of Chi Running ? Its awesome and easy .Chi running is a way to run more efficient . use the force/gravity for running . "A good runner leaves no footprints"

    -Lao Tze-

  • @Djpatbass chi running.. haha sounds like something durianrider would think is a bit silly.

  • @revolutionist14 If you have mastered this technique . You will run faster .longer and with no damage on the joint and use less energie . check it out you if you dont know this technique. nothing silly ,just very usefull ,

    Chi running by Danny Dreyer

  • Thanks for the tip man im going to get one

  • @RAWV3GAN 310xt or the new 910xt if you want to improve in swimming. They are essentially the same watch but the 910xt has swimming data added.

Same 20hr battery life, same ANT+ compatibilities, same easy to read at pace 3x2cm screen.

  • i run a 4:23:44 5k and wondering if i shaved my chest how much time could i shave off my personal best?

  • @ftwbk Not as much as if you shaved your legs too and ate 300 bananas a day.

  • @ftwbk I dont know. Ive never shaved my chest or arms. It wouldnt make any difference unless your running in a wind tunnel over 40kph for extended periods and need to save 2-3 seconds.

  • @ftwbk LOL. It also depends on how flat, round, fat or blubbery your chest is and how long the hairs are too. A mathematical nightmare.

  • @ftwbk troll no fatass is that slow

  • Thanks Harley!

  • :D
