Actually Airbornerock, ZZ are a Texas Blues band, they have never been a rock band as such, they had a short visit to the pop world after Eliminator, but flopped, so went back to what they do best, Texas Blues.

Just saw ZZ a week ago up in Gilford, NH, and they are still awesome. The band stopped playing in the middle of the concert to sign an original first album. I wish I still had mine. That was the best part of the concert.

The cabinets are purely aesthetic(Fender, Orange, Marshall......nothing but stage props)..kinda bummed me out as well.

You know what I love about ZZTop, or as we say in Canada, Zed-Zed-Top :-) , is that, if you think about it, this is extremely simple music. Like, I can play this solo and Ive only been playing for two years maybe a little more. And yet, I love this. Its bloody brilliant. Genius in fact... How they can take something so simple and turn it into purely good music! It's amazing!

No they're not, you've been brainwashed to believe they are, but compare 20 Gibsons side by side with 20 Tokais and you'll quickly realize which are better. If you want a hollowed out weight relieved Les Paul with manufacturing faults, blemishes, uneven fretwork, etc, then buy a Gibson, if you want a solid body Les Paul built to perfection with perfect fretwork then buy a Tokai, for half the price.
