God is. You know it if you have reason. You know it also even more if you have Catholic faith. You will be happy, I suppose, to say that you don't have Catholic faith and unfortunately it is true. However, you will not be happy to know that you don't have reason also. You only think you have reason and how proud you are that you have it. It is your mistake. If you would have reason you would be happy to use your reason to believe God and to know that reality is as Catholic faith says.No abortion
My dad bought a horse from Mr Tyson and my grandfather, an old cowboy like Ian, had ties to him as well. I'd love to move my ranch south but the money issue is holding us back. and Corb, way to be haha don'tcha just love it when they pull that on ya in the middle of the pasture?? <3
Nothing....Horses are just more interesting for lack of a better way to put it. As we say in New Mexico some people like red chili and some like green chili. Just taste...
I think, just as anything else out there, what you look like doesn't matter.
I grew up with country music and I grew up in the woods. I've worked hard all my life and nothing is handed to me. I think if you have an appreciation for mother nature and you
work hard for what you want, you're more of a cowboy than many of those who dress like one.
@BassBuffett Carl Sandburg said he learned songs from a old cowboy who had accumulated 17 broken bones over his lifetime. Ian Tyson learned to play guitar in the broken leg ward of a hospital, but I think that was from rodeoing.
This clip gives me chills... in a good way. It's so perfect. I love it.
When I'm older I plan on buying a ranch in the foothills of the rockies in Alberta.
I've been riding horses since I was 6years old, and it's ALWAYS been my dream to own, work, and live on a cattle ranch in Alberta.
I'm only 16 now, but I want to have my kids (when i'm older) grow up in a western lifestyle. Cowboys are a dying breed, and those of us that are left have to keep it alive.
In the beginning the term Cowboy was applied to a person that hadnt made his mark or settled down. It was more about maturity and the knowledge that comes with it. It could be defined in the opposite as a man that owns cattle is a cattleman and a man that owns or trains horses is a horseman, Its origin is from the biblical Therefore I am You'll often hear a horseman state when called a cowboy, that he doesn't own any cows or a cattleman say I own a few. Its respect due that's often overlooked
Anybody who knows the history of ranching on this continent knows that the first vaqueros, the first drovers, and the first horse ranchers came from farms, small towns, and cities. Being born on a ranch doesn't make you any more of a "cowboy" than being born in NYC and leaving for a life in the saddle. If you're good at the job and love it, that's that. If you aren't, you go do something else. But nobody is more of a "real" cowboy than somebody else. If you do the work, you are one. Period
And to say corb isnt a "real" cowboy or a poser.. I dont personally know him or his history, but theres one thing ive learned in this world, we are all born naked dumb and deaf, and another thing ive learned, a cowboy is not born a cowboy, he becomes one.
P.S. I work on a ranch for a living training horses, I aint a cowboy, Im a horseman, but I have worked and drank with some of the best. And I dont judge anyone till I know them personally.
well not everyone uses the word "hackamore" depends on where your from, I refer to it as a bosal, and have always known it as that, when I think of "hackamore" i think of a damn mechanical leveage bit with a noseband, and no cowboy would use a piece of crap like that.
you rode the ride, Ian has always been and will always be my hero. I have had the honour of meeting him at small concerts. He is a genuine cowboy and musician. Alberta, may you remain free for cowboys and cowgirls, not condos, to quote Ian.
This stuff is incredible. Big fan now.

Its what horses do. Have a broken arm and pelvis
to witness that. Broke horse or not, they rear up
and buck because they can.

what better reason do you need besides because they can lol. so true.
