Watched this anime. From the very beginning, Masataka was my favorite character. I felt bad for him when Aya chose Nagi, but wasn't upset cause I thought he'd end up with Maya, who I liked more than Aya anyway. Then Maya started to like Nagi and I WAS upset, but figured it'd be better for Masataka to get Aya off the rebound since he loved her anyway. Then Aya still turned him down, and I was like, "WTF Tenjou Tenge?! Why can't Masataka just get some play?! Fuck this! I'mma just read the manga."
@MegaGamer2k10: Maybe the manga in itself, but Masataka gets impressive moments. He is told by several of the strongest people that he is probably the closest to the "true warrior" as opposite to his brother or Souchiro that need any kind of special power to fight on par with him, who has just pure skills. Bunshichi says he's better in martial arts then his brother and Souchiro that he' s the strongest in the school. Then he face the Council, ALONE, and beats all of them just doing SEVEN STEPS.
I Think Souchiro is pretty cool but Masataka is better lol.
I hate the fact Takayanagi was made redundant in the anime...in the latest manga chapter he is actually

Fighting his elder brother as an equal, and is pretty much kicking the shit out of him. He is also pointed at to being a key figure in the series as every character asks him to "bust up the wheel of fate".
I hope they carry on the anime so everyone can see Masataka's true potential.
most people dont liek souichiro including myself because he doesnt diserve to be main char. i agree with most people and say takayanagi can pwn any1 lol... in manga he statrs to play vital roles but i mean far in manga lol....... like rlly far lol if u ever read manga skip about 1st 7chapter lmfao around there is where takayanagi takes on bigger roles and starts to kick the shit out of every1 lol ^_^
You used the same scenes too many times, but because of the way the anime was set out, Masataka didn't have enough action scenes so that was kinda unavoidable. Seriously, him and Bob are so much better than that wannabe Super Saiyan Nagi Souichiro.
man i wish masataka had a more commanding role in Tenjou Tenge. Souchiro was a fucking douche. Masakata was awesome and I was deeply saddened to find out that Souchiro was the main character.
