First of all, you dont want to put your barbell in from the bottom of your tongue, you damage nerves that way, you ALWAYS put you barbell in from the top and dont push it through, let it slide through, this way you do not damage the nerves inside your tongue.

Every piercing has a gauge.. Ears start at 18, nose is 20, lip is 16(sometimes 14) and tongue is usually 14 but can also be pierced with a 12.

@CraterFace00 I have mine done and I was able to change it after about 6 days. what u should do is wait until the swelling stops completely and make sure it doesnt come back before you change it. The only difference between changing it when its new and after you have had it awhile is, when its new it can close up with in a couple mins. Now mine takes a couple days to close up. Hope this helpped <3

@itsamberchino There's no escaping the clamps. Just relax. Most of the pain from the clamps comes from you anticipating it to hurt, it's really not that bad. just suck on ice and load yourself up with ibuprofin/advil/motrin for a week afterward and you should be alright.

@1dollxx Oh no, the needle is sharp so you wont feel a thing it goes right through the only thing that takes awhile is the preperation part, just some slight pressure is all you will feel, but your tongue will be sore afterwards (1 1/2 to 2 weeks). sucking on ice and taking some ibeprophen will do wonders. hope this helps

@Tmra1992 Not at all, getting it pierced didnt hurt at all, i suggest if youre thinking of getting it done to go to a shop in your area with high reviews and choose a person with years of experience. Also chloroseptic spray, the kind you use when you have a sore throat will help take away any discomfort afterwards. There isnt really anything you need to stay away from eating for a couple of days is rather awkward, but it isnt uncomfortable after the first few days. Got mine done 3 weeks ago:)
