love how it starts off great! this song is better live. Bought the 3 disc set of this concert. Love this song most of all. Starts off good then gets better with every second.
no cymbals don't just fall off their stand in the middle of a show, especially not in a professional environment where they have a drum tech seting up the kit
im not a big tim reynolds fan. he is great and all but it seems like in every one of daves songs, tim wants to hold the center spotlight. some things that he plays dont even go with the songs. Any one else think this???
I hear you on that one. They need Butch Taylor back. There is going to be so many songs they can not play without him or if they do play it they will not sound the same. Tim Reynolds is one the greatest guitar players in the world, however, I like it much better when it is just Dave and Tim... it is okay when he joins the band once in awhile, but now without Butch, I have a feeling he is going to be with them for every show.
I dont agree. They've been playing together for over a decade, they probably know eachother and thier music inside and out. In my opinion if something didnt belong in the song Mr. Reynolds wouldn't put it there. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't hear anything wrong with what he was playing here or in any of their live shows together that i've listened to...
Is it possible to download the video of the show? I can see many torrents of the live audio album songs, but just cant find quality video feed. Can anybody help?
i disagree. bartender. uses the same chords basically, but its better. the lyrics, the flow, the jam at the end with the pennywistle solo.... unbelievable.
see, to me, thats a better song to stick towards the end. to me, an opening song should just come out and punch you in the gut right away. however, Bartender is a DAMN good intro song, but DDTW knocks you out from that first hit on. i dunno though, thats why music is so beautifully subjective.
One of the best songs of the band. Amazing.

looks like it kind of. i was there, and my best guess is a beach ball. the cameras were about 100 feet from the stage, so that might explain it.

Does a cymbol fall off carters kit at 2:35?

Great version. Can't wait to get it on CD..
Don't get me wrong, Coffins is great, but his and Leroi's style are different. He will be greatly missed.

PNP->Rapunzel is my favorite opener. Like you said, just punches you right in the gut. Love that end jam too
