  • I love Eddie, but this somehow didn't fit..

  • I think the blank looks are from people who aren't familiar with this surreal humour, and are wondering if their neighbours know something about the table settings that they don't...

  • Great speech!!!!

  • Aye, I did too. He was funny and wonderful, and I found it even funnier to see all the bug-eyed people staring, not knowing what the hell he was talking about. I think they weren't used to honesty in that regard. They prefer their words wrapped in superficiality that only goes near you, and doesn't intrude too much. Or maybe they were just effing stupid. ;-)

  • There are never enough opportunities to see Eddie!

  • Geez. I thought Eddie was hilarious, as usual, here. Visions of passed-over nominees battling the winners with wine bottles and cuttlery for possesion of the award gave me plenty to laugh about.. Some of the blank looks were really rather priceless, but you'll notice that Helen Mirren was laughing her head off. Eddie's delciously twisted logic and lightning wit are not suitable for slower thinkers, I fear. Well, that's what you get for trying talk to people in a tent on top of a car park.
