  • @andykrejsa great taste in music! a true masterpiece.included on side-a of the heat of the moment album tracks:side-a:heat of the moment, only time will tell, sole survivor, one step close and time again.GREAT JOB!!!!!!!

Tornei-me fã do grupo ASIA, Fui a todos os shows dele no Brasil 1991-2007. Abraços!

  • Também tenho esse Long Play. Selo EPIC 1982.

  • claro que si era de una locion el comercial hecastillo te felicito que memoria y gracias por compartir la informacion saludos

  • El comercial es de una locion para caballeros "Prince George Matchabelli" ...

  • "We need more cowbell"

  • Asia is underrated

  • You're leaving now

    It's in your eyes

    There's no disguising it

It really comes as no surprise

To find that you planned it all along

    I see it now

    Becomes so clear

    Your insincerity

    And me all starry eyed

You think that I would have known by now

  • Now, sure as the sun will cross the sky

    This lie is over

Lost, like the tears that used to tide me over

    (Only time will tell)

    One thing is sure

    That time will tell

    (Only time will tell)

    If you were wrong

The brightest ring around the moon

    Will darken when I die

  • Now, sure as the sun will cross the sky

    This lie is over

Gone, like the tears that used to tide me over

    You're leaving now

    It's in your eyes

    There's no disguising it

It really comes as no surprise

To find that you planned it all along

  • Only time will tell

    I see it now

    Becomes so clear

    Your insincerity

    And me all starry eyed

You think that I would have known by now

Now, sure as the sun will cross the sky

    This lie is over

Lost, like the tears that used to tide me over

  • (Only time will tell) You're on your own Inside your room (Only time will tell) Claiming victory You were just using me And there is no one you can use now (Only time will tell) One thing is sure That time will tell (Only time will tell) If you were wrong The brightest ring around the moon Will darken when I die
  • This album, and Men at Work's "Business as Usual", are definitely the best two albums of the 80's

  • Who was the gymnast in this video?? She was awesome!!

  • back in the day MTV used to play this all the time!

  • Timeless....wonderful....

  • i had this 45 i think it was a b-side to heat of the moment but i liked this song way more. i played it a million times on one of those portable suitcase like record players

  • simply fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn cutted version but still one of the best songs from the 80´s! ASIA always was something special till today!

  • A música é ótima mas o clipe é uma merda.

The music is great but the clip is a load of shit.

  • in the cd then and now appears this theme and i have this cd

  • This is my nephew's FAVORITE song, he's 6 1/2..

  • Awesome! I was 7 when this came out. It was my favorite song then, too.

  • love it

  • Super Band !!!!!!!!

  • I love this song!

  • fuck all the douchebag haters ! Asia ABSOLUTELY RULED & STILL DOES !

  • one says that '80ies are cheesy, is he right, do you agree with that?

  • @getsensus I though they got right to the point. Nothing cheesy!!!

  • agree - i love them too.. I think a lot of good electronic dance music now, but It was then, times were different, but they where really special and big

  • I miss the 80's. I must have played this song a million times back then and still listen to it now. :)

  • ASIA rules, saw them in March 09 on their Worldtour, in Augsburg, Germany. These Guys know how to Rock. Rock on ASIA

  • I'm so glad the original band got back together after all these years. I never thought I would get to see them perform live.

  • There are so many people that make fun of Asia but I'm not really sure why they would. They came from so many super groups like Yes, ELP etc. That's crazy. Listening to this song gives me chills...

  • There just jealous of such talent...This album was HUGE in the world of musicians !!! Any good musician new that this was a brilliant album...wetton was just out of UK..terry bozzio put together Missing Persons...So the prog guys were making some mainstream stuff, BUT they gave it that edge that let you know they were masters in their field.

  • The 80's were the best! full of great memories.

  • This is in my top 10 songs of all time.

  • @shellaroe This is one of my all time favorites of the time as well! May all your amps play to 11 on this!!

  • Never see agroup like these agfain. 80's are gone forever !

  • Super buena canción!

  • Check out the TV's at 0:34. All I have to say is "amazingly 80's."

  • love it

  • where is my time machine????

    still have this on vinyl!!!

  • 30 years ago. TVs and chicks doing flips.

    Ah the memories.

  • The Eighties were awesome! Don't believe what they say. It wasn't perfect but I can say it was awesome because I lived it!!!!!

  • I was a great era for many things! I lived it myself, and would trade back in an instant.

  • TOP TEN , BEST SONG 80s

  • this song are avaliable in the then & now cd

  • im 15 years old i would do anything to be able to go back in time and grow up in the 80s i just hate everything about "today" its so shallow and superficial music is shit tv is shit movies suck now i just looking back into time man you older folks had it so good

  • Just live it now! Get into the music.

  • I am 40 and people and critics back in the 80's said the music and movies were shallow and superficial. Just remember it all comes from the individuals point of view. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

  • That's what my ex-wife's new husband says!!!!

  • @tippytheman667 haha, i know what you mean. im 16 and i would kill to be able to grow up in the 80's. the last decade of music has just been complete shit

  • Just like any decade, there was some awesome music, and some absolute shit in the 80's!

  • @tippytheman667 Same here. If only so that I could have seen the Chameleons live in their hey-day. Just once would have been nice!

  • Okay i just listened to Jonas "Burnin' up" & Miley's "7 things" oh make it stop!!!!! I can't take it anymore, just shoot me. I give up.

  • Geoff Downs who plays keyboards in Asia was in the Buggles and is in the video for "Video Killed The Radio Star". He and the other "Buggle", Trevor Horn also were part of Yes for the Drama album/tour. Asia played "Video Killed The Radio Star" during their last tour.

  • I was 16 in '82 and life was golden... stay gold ponyboy!

  • That's right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THe one guy was in the buggles. Video killed the radio star.

  • No, he or none of the band members were in the "Video killed the radio" or in the Buggles band as well. At least you know the song when MTV just came out. Peace!

  • the keyboard player was in it Geoff Downs. Download it on you tube

  • jshkendra you are right. Damn! Thought I knew everything about the '80's! Arggh... I'll punish myself by listening to Miley and the Jonas brothers for a couple of hours, crap. Peace!

  • agreed 80's was the last of the innocence! Asia rocked lol

  • They opened for journey? not the other way round? now that is scary !

  • I saw them in dallas tx they open up for journey shit that was long time ago back in the 80's

  • So cheese-tastically awesome.

  • Thats what is beautiful about music. You can hear a song and it can take you back to exactly where you were when you 1st heard it. I think of MTV when I see vids like this...thats when music tv was just that.

  • quoted for truth! everytime I hear this song I remembered exactly where I was! on my way home from an arcade in nj in the car with my dad and when I heard it I said "I gotta find that song." I loved it so much!

  • That is exactly what I am talking about. How fitting you heard this song on the way home from an arcade. When this came out arcades where the big thing, especially in Jersey. We didn't have Ipod, we carried our big ole radios EVERYWHERE. Love it.

  • 8th grade. Heritage Junior High School, Cherry Hill, NJ. It closed in '84. Cherry Hill was the Yes/Rush capital of the US back then!!!!

  • This was a great time! I remember when this song came out in 82! Those were the days! It was a glorious time!

  • ABSOLUTELY one of the best studio bands to ever assemble. As a child of the 70's and having grown up in the 80's, there will never be another time when music exploded as it did. GOD, how I miss that time period.

  • Steve Howe~~~~ Legend

Perhaps one of the best debut rock albums ever...

  • Lovely song, which brings back oh so many memories of my childhood days, back in the good old 80's. I was 10 back 'in '84 when I heard this ASIA hit for the first time. I miss that decade - a lot.

  • 1982!!! Saw em live. Awesome

  • I grew up in south Florida during the 80's so I always get cocaine flashbacks when I here this.

  • I LOVE ASIA 80's will always rule I dress like the 80's Madonna everyday. no decade will rock as hard as the 60's 70's and 80's

  • i luve THIS

  • This one was always my favorite too

  • This song and Don't Cry were my favorites.

Most people liked Heat of the Moment, which was not one of my favorites.

    Anyway...this is an excellent tune!

  • Response007 is correct, douche-bag!! I was answering gozer196...I happen to think Asia was/is one of the best of the 80s bands, and I TOTALLY LOVE this song!!!

Response is also correct in that you and baabng are imbeciles...anyone with half-a-brain or more would and should have realized my answer was directed at gozer196 since it was POSTED under his/her question!!!

  • yep...so true....bitch

  • This is a fantastic song from an awesome year. I wish things were still like they were in 82. This is great music. The late 70s early 80s had the all time best music, clothes, shows, cool cars, and too much to list. Things had to be so much better then. And I'm 17.

  • My kids say the same things. They wish they would have been here in the 80's. They sure were a great time to be a teenager. Life wasn't so serious and tough on kids like today. Good luck and STAY IN SCHOOL!

  • You said it!!!!

  • Youbestbequiet, no doubts that 80's decade was the last decade of innocence in our world. It was fantastic time. We miss those years. This song is emblematic of 80's when we enjoyed tons of good music.

  • Hi, 77rock79. I went to high school in the early '80s. It was not all sugar 'n' spice 'n' everything nice. Don't get me wrong--the '80s were interesting, but they weren't paradise or anything. They were just different. Of course, life probably was simpler--there was no e-mail, Internet, cell phones, etc. Cable and music videos were just becoming popular. But it's so easy to think that everything was so great back then, when it wasn't necessarily.

  • one of the best and most underrated songs of the 80's ..... Period.

  • When they show him in the TV-monitor he looks-like a long-haired late John Ritter.

  • I too graduated in 1982, and I agree with you 100%!! Today's music SUCKS!!! I'd say music started to go downhill in the late eighties. As of the nineties up until and including today only about 1% to 2% of the music being produced nowadays is worth any shit.

  • in august of 2011 fire will fall from the sky, comment as you please but it will not change the event, this has nothing to do with 12-21-12.just pray for yourself your love ones and the people that you do not know.

  • LOL! a cracking track! I was the only kid in my skool who had this LP - amazing prog/pop crossover! 4 great musicians - awesome stuff!

  • good music.... clip shit

  • Spring, 1982, 8th grade.... Asia, Yes and Rush were THE SHIT in South Jersey high schools and jr. high schools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This album takes me back to the summer of 82, when my best friend and his family took me with them on vacation to California... Disneyland, Knottsberry Farm, the Beach... man, the memories don't get much better than that.

  • and now you find yourself in '82, huh?

  • i know what you meen mtv what a joke only know ones laughing

  • holy crap the singing's rushed

    Love this song tho

  • always think off an ex when i hear this rolllaa

    asia isss the shit.....

  • love this song!! asia was sooo 80s!! was only like 8yrs old but remember my listening to my bros asia tapes cause he was a big yes fan also! damn 25 yrs has passed like nothing what an awesome time for music!!

  • what a great band, excellent vocalist as well, too bad they didn't stick around

  • haha I always get confused with this band and Europe haha

  • anyone remember when MTV used to actually be ABOUT music? they might as well just call it "RTV" now (reality)

  • Wow this takes me WAY back!!!!

  • This song is just plain old epic!

  • No recuerdo cantante más afinado que Weton

  • english mother fucker.

  • IMO, the singer looks like William Wallace from Braveheart.

    <3 Asia, forever.

  • Considering his black suit + white shirt, he also reminds me of the Italian singer Riccardo Fogli performing "Storie di tutti i giorni" at Sanremo Festival. It was 1982 as well... of course I'm not talking about music!!

  • I think John Wetton has a distinct voice that is a great asset to ANY band he fronts..

  • Really good song! "Dont cry and","Heat of the moment", are very good songs too!

  • Totally. If you like this. And 'Some like it hot' also!

  • My mom (R.I.P.) & I were at a Sonics game in '82, and my game programme just happened to have the winning number for a prize pack of 10 LP's (yes, LP's) of my choice, courtesy of KUBE. When we went to the station to collect, guess which LP ws my first choice?

  • Me fascina esta canción y sí, estoy de acuerdo, es la mejor de Asia, aún más que Heat of the moment...

  • Everyone loves, "In The Heat of the Moment," but to me this is Asia's best song. Put on the headphones and put the volume up. Compare the two and tell me which one is better!

  • Agreed.

  • Agreed

  • I agree, Only time will tell and Don't cry are the best songs by Asia.

  • I was a little baby in 1982, but since that time I learned to hear a good song.

I am a lucky girl for had lived my infancy in 80's.

    Very good!

  • Great cowbell!

  • I need more cowbell !

  • Great song - takes me back to when I was 12 at the skating rink. :)

  • Fantastic Band, Fantastic Song, Fantastic Album. It's a shame that artists now do not have the talent that the artists did back during the Prog Rock era....

  • I'LL say it again; GREAT SONG/MUSIC!

  • i bought the LP in 1981 when it came out, and was awed by the video as well! what a great song!

  • I like all of the under 40 pricks who rip on Asia, and only know and like the absolute corporate shit that has come out since the late '80's. Most people can't appreciate the high quality musicianship that Steve Howe and Carl Palmer have.

  • I couldn't agree with you more. I'm 19 and I used to be called an old man because I loved Meat Loaf.

  • True,and funny comment:)

  • I'm under 40 and really appreciate the talents. Some damn good members of the band. As a side note, I heard ELP was looking to tour this year and next.

  • this could have been a Great group had they stayed together .

  • I seen your profile and you have no room to talk you fudge packer.

  • the intro to this is great

  • Thank God for YouTube(I do)!!

I forgot how GREAT Asia was with this, Heat Of The Moment,Don't Cry, & others!

  • To "masterzedd3121": wonder why an KYLIE MINOGUE Fan watch an Music-Video with REAL Music in it??!!

  • Comment removed

  • I learned about this video from reading books written by Brandon Levon Type old world secrets the omega project codes into youtube and watch what this is all about.

    Peace

  • That's not jus any girl doing flips. That is none other than Lindsay Lohan's mom. A quote from Lohan's mom: "I never thought my athletic pooper would get me anywhere in Hollywood, but hey...I got an Asia video out of it. That's better than most dumb broads from Iowa."

  • This bastard have to be 15 years old. MAL PARIDO!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • no worries masterzit just put the earphones on, crank up the air supply and forget about all these meanies picking on you

  • I've got this whole album, mint condition still in plastic. so I looked it up. lol...I kinda like it, I just wish I had a record pplayer.

  • Awsome song, but whose f*cking idea was it to shoot this low budget video with a chick doing backflips over TV'S!!! But still what a f*cking awsome song!

  • IDK. they did that whole 4x4 screen thing with "Heat Of the Moment..." It was 1982. Nobody really knew what you could do with MTV back then... :P

  • I see this video was on MTV at a time when MTV played music videos and, not the crap thats on it now.....those were the days.

  • Couldn't possibly agree more

  • I have two words for anyone who talks shit about Asia... King Crimson. And besides, these songs are great! :)

  • Don't forget Family, The Nice, Yes, and Atomic Rooster.

  • asias freaking amazing

  • Your insincerity...

  • Wow. What an intelligent comment that was. Looks like people aren't allowed to disagree with you, but you can disagree with whoever you want. Time to grow up!

  • LOL?
