When in vehicle mode, I actually use the leader class ROTF Optimus Prime as the cab for the trailer and leave this Optimus in robot mode. The leader class fits perfectly to the trailer and works really well in size comparison with the rest of the leader class figures.

I compare this to RID Leader Optimus Prime. Both have a normal robot mode that instead of actually changing shape, they simply put on armor. So the legs are still the legs and the arms are still the arms, not like Armada Optimus Prime because he flips upside down and his legs become arms and his bigger armored head pops out from his stomach.

@Sammy10008 Now, I'm not peaugh, but I would recommend this figure as it is a lot of fun(except for the wings faling off a couple of times) and once Optimus is in his armour, he is much taller than the rotf leader.

In trailer mode you can actually have the trailer separate from the truck and pull down the "butterfly antennae" (only blue parts and hiding yellow parts still).  This way it looks exactly the way a real un-hitched trailer looks.

But if he wants the Jetwing Prime from Dark of the Moon, either get this one or order online the very nice looking Supreme Class Jetwing Optimus Prime. Basically the same as ROTF Prime, but has parts that can transform it into Jetwing Prime.

i got the one from SDCC 11 much better packaging.came with vary nice decals and getting prime out of the vary cool package really took some work. does not have mechtech ports just vary nice decals to put on the trailer and prime himself.

The review was helpful, I won't be buying him for sure at his high price. If he were £25/£30 I might consider it, but what I've seen doesn't look like he's worth more than £25/£30.

It's odd to see how disappointing Optimus Prime is compared to Megatron in this movie line, the previous two movie lines it's been Megs who's come out as the underdog in terms of his toy appearance while Prime was pretty much excellent.

Guess I'll be skipping this Prime and the Voyager as well.

the quality of this has suffered. the wheels looks so bad like those dollar plastic trucks that is made in china. the plastics looks and feels inferior to the rotf. have to customize paint it a lot just to make it look decent....could have been the definitive prime but the makers i guess wanted to make more mullah by making selecting c grade plastics. even the tranformers classics de luxe has better plastic quality
