  • Δ₩Σ$☮ⅯΞ ! ! !

  • YUP, that guy DOES have mad skillz..... But I also take my hat off to the camera man as well. For how aggressive that guy flew, the camera man never skipped a beat! All in All a very fun video to watch! Thanks =P

  • first time ever seen a blade 400 do 3D... great vid

  • I can do that with my eyes closed

  • Yes, I still fly the stock gyro and servos (tail) after three years. For anyone buying this heli new, I recommend pre-flight and control surface checks, before every flight. The servos will give a slight warning and then dump! Preferably, on the ground!

  • Someone squash that fly! :p

Dude your an amazing flyer :p

  • Thats some brilliant flying right there loveing it man. after belt cp, falcon 3d and hk450 i think you just got me convinced that the right choice for me to began some more demanding flying is blade 450 3d, thanks a lot man, keep on doing some fine punchs there, respect :)

  • I would break it in 5 minutes.

  • Oh My God! you are awwwwwwsome bro. Im the type of man who never says no or I cant. Thank you for being the first person that did something that made me say I cant do that. give some tips please.

  • No, this is not stock.

  • is this stock settings

  • holly crap that was beast you can really fly nice job....

  • All rigth! I haven't found many blade 400 videos where someone knows what the hell they are doing . There either taking it out of the box or have the training set on first time flying it. This makes the Blade 400 shine for what it is. Its a lot like watching a nitro copter. Do you have to time your flight so you have enough battery to land it?

  • @ILTSYC "buildem336", on the YouTube flys the stink out of this and others....less precision but more 3D. Depends on your preference?

  • @FourDollaRacing

buildem336? Aint that Jose Campos? Yeah he really rocks on the Blade stuff CP's too.

  • @ILTSYC Yes, Manuel Campos. "buildem336" on RC Groups too.

  • That man can fly !

  • absolutely insane flying best iv'e ever seen, especially from the blade....

  • Hey this video was really great. Keep up the good work!

  • This vid will help sell lots of Blade 400s!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow.. all i can say is this is the best 400 video on YT yet.. hope to see more soon. Keep us motivated

  • Awesome flying. Wholy S#@! I just bought one of these because I was getting good at my smaller one. But after watching this guy I'm realizing I know nothing yet.

  • Great skills!

i have a blade cx2, now i know to get a blade 400 when Im ready to upgrade!

  • I have been on the fence as far as the blade 400 and the trex450, but now I am sold on the 400! Pickine up tomorrow, $280 pnp.

  • aweesome i salute your mad skills

  • beautiful man, i can really run the lil msr, just bought my blade 400 today, i hope one day i can fly like you, but im not holding my breath, hahahah i salute your skills

  • Very nice. I pulled the training gear off of mine last night, probably could have a while ago. I can fly some pretty aggressive 3D stuff on realflight, hopefully I'll work up the nerve to at least get started this spring or summer :p

Maybe one day I'll be able to fly a heli as smooth and controlled as this.

  • The most impressive thing for me is the landing....sooo smooth!

  • great indeed

  • Can i do this sort of thing if i had the experience with the out of the box model?

Ive just bought the MCX to start out

  • geeezzzz........ i´m getting dizzy just by watching this! GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great job!

  • not bad not bad

  • cool ive never seen anyone throw a blade 400 around like that, hope to be as good as this one day lol

can do alot of 3d manouvers on aerofly pro delux sim but i dont think ild have the bottle to try it on a real helli lol

    good job 5stars :)

  • Sweet!

  • nice flying i have a b400 and didnt think it could do any of this

  • Brilliant Flying!

  • these are truely the skills of a professional!! WOW!!!

  • Nice to see a good video of someone doing hard 3d on the Blade 400. Every other video I see seems to be a Trex.

  • nice! how long have you been flying?

  • Great flying. Thanks.

  • nice

  • I have the the Blade 400,let me tell you that the bird that Jamie is flying is totally stock aside from the blades and battery.mine tweaked the same w/ some personal modifications, has that capability.I am not just there yet:)Sim yes reality no.

  • Very impressive control of your bird. You really understand how to fly with fine control. Whew. Jeeeeez. Still working on it myself.

  • Oh Shit.I Have This Heli But dident know its capable of such intense 3D.The Motor sounds like its Upgraded

  • @Nikx012 3d mode...

  • Yeah, that's pretty impressive. Pulls out my MCX. Ok, ok, so I have a ways to go... Great flying!

  • Holy shit, I knew the Blade 400 could do 3D, but not intense 3D like that! Should I get a Blade 400 or Dragonus II Pro?

  • Also, what ESC were you using? I noticed your setup in your description but I don't see what ESC is used, and I seriously doubt that's the stock ESC...

  • I;m still learning to hover my blade 400. Thanks for the inspiration. Maybe in a couple of years I'll be able to do some of that cool stuff.

  • 4 min into it and the headspeed still sounded pretty strong. I've got to try my other batteries in the blade too. My t-rex just eats them blade batteries up quick... And awesome flying by the way...

  • wow der onkel da macht aber richtig rabatz... ich glaub ei dem ist ein rotorblatt nicht fest.. das ding ruckelt ja völlig irre rum... toll!!! :)

  • is this outa the box or did he upgrade the motor?

does it come with rotor lock out of the box or what ?

usuly helis need these things befor you can fly like this right?....but hes amazing O.O

  • yes the engine is stock I think because i've the same heli and i do hard 3d,the rotor is not lock out the box. The blade 400 is very better than most people think.

  • very good indeed

  • Wow! thats some understandin of control. Awesome!!

  • Bad Asterisk! You own the sky, way to fly!

  • wooow!

  • Anyone know if he is using the Dx6i for that flight?

  • well they come standard with hem so i suppose so

  • Not the plug and play.

  • how the hell do u fly it like that

  • Man he can fly

  • Man I jost hate it when I see such tallent. You forced me to go buy one. And I dont fly heli's! Dont worry, I also ordered spare blades and boom. I hear that some people dont mind them fresh out of the box but others seem to bag the hec out of the stock servo's. How did you find yours when you got it? How long did the servo's last before you diced them?

  • Way too cool for school!!! just amazinging flying. For the guy below, i have my 400 set at 110% for my ailerons, elevator, and Aux servo, but i cant stand the play in the stock servos, so i got my self a set of JR ds 285s and 3400 g for the tail, futaba 401 gyro, and the align 430XL 3700KV motor with a 35 esc and a pair of 2200 v2's. Franken-400 on ROIDS!!!

  • How much better does yours fly with the futaba 401 gyro?

  • I think it is a perfect match for this helicopter. It sells for 135ish and gives the heli way more heading holding power. The 3400g helps a lot too.

  • This is just sick flying! Incredible!

Will I ever be this good?...

  • One question. What do you have the expo set at to get that kind of response?

  • Got my 400 a week ago... very easy to fly after many hours of realflight g4 with the trex 450 and mastering flying my cx2... awesome flying Jamie, its nice to see someone displaying what this thing can really do!

  • I hope it fly better than their cp, no matter what you do it just don't fly right.

  • Best blade 400 pilot ever - sayin that he a rich yank who lives in cornfields so what else he gunna learn out there? how to read and write?!

  • Excellent,

    Who else can I say

  • I preorderd mine like 5 months ago. been flying it for 2 months now, and all i can say is awsome! the best upgrade IMO is the Thunderpower extreme v2 2200 battery. the v2 truns the heli into a whole new heli!

  • hi i saw on a forum that you posted on that you moved the ball link to the thrd hole on the tail servo horn, i tried this last night but it didnt fit, how did you make it go in there???? ur reply would be appreciated thanks!!!!

  • I read the same thing on runryder. You have to get another servo horn and drill/ream the hole a little larger.

  • Im trying to do the chaos on the sim, its really really hard. I would have the heli in a stable hover pirouette it and put forward cyclic and start feeding in + and - pitch while im spinning the heli with the rudder and rotating the cyclic sticks!!! I hope im doing it right. I dont have the nerve to do it with my real one.

  • mattxr2i ......That gyroscopic move is called the chaos......its basically left rudder and rotate right stick in a clkwise direct. But one have to get the feel of the heli to do it. It looks gr8.

  • Ok I've been beating my hed against the wall on this one so I'll just ask! How the #### did he do that gyroscope looking manuver? I've seen alan szabo do it too but I can't figure out how they do it!!! It's crazy! Great flying btw! I can't wait to get my 400!!!

  • WOW, I've been doing some reserch on these 3D helis for a lil while deciding which one to buy, so I've watched A LOT of videos of these things, and this guy is by far the best I've seen yet. Even better than the factory/company guys.

    good job dude!!!

Lets see some more vids, maybe some technical obstical course type stuff...that would be cool....

  • hey is this heli hard to fly for the begining

  • Hi Jamie,

you are the best 3D pilot I ever saw. Outstanding!!! I am an absolute beginner :-(

    Greetings

    Frank

  • Great flying some day i will be doing something like that.. Thanks

  • thinking of buying the e-flite blade 400 is it worth the money and the DX6i ? is this radio ok?

  • Oh yeah my buddy just picked one up yesterday and for the money, this heli is a steal. and the radio is insane, especially if you are used to standard FM radios. I personally want to fly my Axe CP off a cliff and go get this badboy. so yeah to ANYONE who asks I highly recommend!

  • Are you Alan Szabo Jr ?????

Coz that screemed of one of his routines.

You were only missing the Autorotate at the end.....

  • how do you flip the blade grips and mixers??? can you make a video?/ i just got the 401 on this heli and im waiting for a tail servo .. i guess ill get a 3400g JR

  • I flipped the main blade grips & bell mixers.

    Stability.

I feel it is just as good as a T-rex.

Thanks for the compliments! It's a nice flying helicopter.

  • nice k i want a trex but i wanted to no if this is just as good as the trex 450 or better thx nic

  • this isn't as good as the trex 450 but the blade 400 is ready to fly, the trex 450 you have to build.

  • yeah i know i love building stuff so trex it is and its is more money i no o well

  • Jamie -Awesome flying! :-)

Could I ask you why you changed the tail blades?

    More responsiveness or more stability?

    T.i.a.

    Peter

  • Awesome flying! I flew my Blade 400 for the first time today. I won't be doing anything like that for awhile though!

  • "Grips and Mixers Flipped"??? What do you mean by this? (I own a blade 400)

  • You see the main blade grips? you see the little mixer arm that connects to a servo and to the fly bar? He flipped the mixer such that the input force is on the shorter side and therefore creates a faster response. You must understand how the head works to understand a word of my explanation

  • I get I think..

FLipping the blade grips around seems simple enough, but I didn't see the advantage.

HOWEVER, flipping the bell hiller mixer around (so the long arm goes to blade grip, and short arm goes to flybar would RADICLY increase roll rates :) (at least if I got that right)

This would also put one heck of a load on the servo / flybar, but apparently it works!

BTW, I've had my B-400 for 2 months now and absolutly love it1

  • Yeah that's basically it... only its the long arm to the flybar and the short arm to the swashplate/servo (either way something you nor I should mess with for a while :-D) I had my 400 for less than a week and I love it, though I've already been through 2 sets of blades, a skid, a flybar, and soon to be a new feather rod. Parts break pretty easy on it when you crash, but if you lower the throttle curve to stay at 50% it hovers like a dream because its much less snappy. Happy Flying!

  • yeah, it kinda makes sense to me. i wonder if it will work on a hbk2? if i were to flip the mixer, i would have to alot of mods on it.

  • Equipment used during that flight: TP2200V2, Radix 325s, stock gyro, stock servos, JR 3400G tail servo, T-rex carbon tail blades, grips and mixers flipped, stock paddles, stiffer dampening, stock motor & pinion. It will fly as well on the stock blades without the extra pop the Radix blades provide. The stock tail servo also does a great job, but the 3400G provides a more constant piro rate.

  • @Sonex128 what are your throttle curves, d/r, and expo set at on everything?

  • very nice flying, just bought one and good to see the model is up to all that :)

  • hehe, looks like someone already asked! "Is that Stock?

    nice flying btw.:)

  • is that all stock??!!
