The reasons these prisoners are not executed as their Iranian counterparts are not because islamic regime values human lives but because:

1- It is afraid of a retaliatory action by U.S

2- The prisoners are used as a bargain tools whenever the regime feels a threat

than the US did for their prisoners in Guantanamo.

When the US threw out the Human Rights rule book,

committed rendeition and illegal imprisonment,

they unleashed an attitude that 'anything goes'.

@latlanticcityphil I watched a documentary about a Canadian who was in prison in Texas (death row) for murder. There were family pleas for release, etc. Our politicians wouldn't plead his case because he was convicted of a crime AND countries have the right to govern their country.
