The Emptiness is my favorite album ever. None of the songs alone are my all-time favorites, but as a whole the album is amazing. The story is disturbing but so beautiful at the same time. And this song is my favorite of Alesana's, it's a perfect ending to a perfect album. <3 Alesana

This is my interpretation of the song: Either the whole song is from Annabel's perspective (we're seeing the story through her eyes) based on the lyrics if you think about it. Or it goes back and forth from (i'm just going to call him the murderer since he wasn't given a name) the murderer in the 1st verse and Annabel in the 2nd verse.
