Stock they are the same HP but the stang pulls after about 100' when the supercharger kicks in.. Both are great cars but i never did that "rolling start" pussy shit.

@dmcgrathudt It was just a tune, a CAI upgrade, a new midpipe, and mufflers (of coarse you need the tune for all of that in order to get maximum gains) my car's wrecked now, so I can't send any modern pic for proof, but there are pictures of it all over my page (there's your proof) I think I know my own car buddy, also i'm an amature racer, and so was the guy next to me, I had a bad start, so he was off the line first, but I was able to catch up. We both had 14 second times (was close)....

Well Mustang owners are assholes i had my first car a V6 Mustang and got bashed constantly by V8 owners and they get pissed when my V6 can keep up with them anyway with some minor mods.

@SubaruWRXtreme unfortunately the economy V6 models don't get respect. Considered a 16 year old kids 1st car bought by their parents scared to put kid in V8 model. The fellow respect is amongst the V8 owners, but now the the new 2011 V6 Mustangs are putting out over 300hp its a different story, as they can spank some of the older V8 cars, lol. But any true "car guy" should respect all cars. But we know how humans are brand loyal, just like arguing about favorite sporting teams.
It was a fun V6 Mustang, had lots of fun with it but the constant abuse by the V8 crowd pissed me off.
My WRX puts the hurt on lots of the old "friends" with their V8's and now it pissed them off, i like lots of cars i still enjoy the Mustangs especially the 2011. My mods on the V6 wasn't a K&N filter, i started from the heads, valves and freed up the exhaust and i had more power than the 5.0L V8 of that time and yes it pissed them off that i was faster while still being N/A it was just my benchmarking car and learning to work on cars. I don't own a fart can the Subarus are never associated with fart cans everyone loves the rumbling exhaust and these are made for rally so i take 0-60 less than 5 seconds STOCK while most V8 take 5.5 seconds.
Because it was my car to have some wrench time on it and the 3.8L is a strong solid engine, it's more forgiving on mistakes. And i love being the underdog working my way up to being better, right now the car isn't running but i'm going to pull the V6 out and put it in a smaller car and put a old Ford 302 in it in and making my old daily driver a drift and 1/4 mile car fully N/A

My 2009 WRX is pushing 265hp stock very nice car but to be honest the engine bay is a pain in the ass to work in, especially changing the spark plugs though i'm glad i have Iridium in there so no headaches for now.
And i'm not going to drift the Subaru but i want to work on the 1994 Mustang and go drift that one and show those ugly ass Nissan's what's up with a solid axle V8 that can drift better than them.

I filmed Vaughn Gittin Jr's original S197 Mustang back in 2008, and I have tons of footage that I shot of Van Den Brink's 700+hp STS Turbo Sn95 Mustang, the other drifters have a very hard time keeping up with him when he is the lead car...LOL!!! Gittin is a multiple Formula D champ and Van Den Brink is a multiple XDC champ. The Mustang just may be the perfect drifting platform.

Look at it this way a Boss 302 is a stripped down race version of a 2012 mustang with multiple mods. While an m3 still has a complete interior as well as a many other luxury items. So if ford was so confident they would compare the Boss to a real stripped down e92 m3 racer or even a 911 gt3 rs, which can be put into the same catagory as the piece of shit Boss.

@tommy02wrx Muscle cars can handle quite well actually.. they were reknowned for their poor handling back in the 60's and 70's and yeah the old 4.6's in mustangs blow hard... but the new 5.0 Boss will corner very well as a matter of fact.. Not to mention the Corvette is still reguarded as a Muscle Car and the ZR1 is running with the Super Cars.. a real engine is the 5.7 LS1.. you can't go wrong with those.
This is funny... I had a 1996 Mustang Gt and I would do that all the time... Now I have a 1999 Cobra and I never miss a gear... I wanna say the shifter placement of the 94-98 mustang are really not in the best spot if you ask me. The cobra felt weird and akward when I first got it but now I like it better than the 96 shifter spot.... too low and close. The cobra requires more reach but when your speedshifting, it works out great!!!

But now the Ford guys have the new 2011 (base GT, not Cobra, Saleen, Roush, etc) 412 bhp Mustang GT that runs 12's. But whats it matter, there is something good in the Subaru as well as the Mustang. The WRX is a rally car and the Mustang is a Ponycar that are intended for different performance purpose. And anyone with cash can make them faster than the other.

My mods on the V6 wasn't a K&N filter, i started from the heads, valves and freed up the exhaust and i had more power than the 5.0L V8 of that time and yes it pissed them off that i was faster while still being N/A it was just my benchmarking car and learning to work on cars. I don't own a fart can the Subarus are never associated with fart cans everyone loves the rumbling exhaust and these are made for rally so i take 0-60 less than 5 seconds STOCK while most V8 take 5.5 seconds.

Because it was my car to have some wrench time on it and the 3.8L is a strong solid engine, it's more forgiving on mistakes. And i love being the underdog working my way up to being better, right now the car isn't running but i'm going to pull the V6 out and put it in a smaller car and put a old Ford 302 in it in and making my old daily driver a drift and 1/4 mile car fully N/A

My 2009 WRX is pushing 265hp stock very nice car but to be honest the engine bay is a pain in the ass to work in, especially changing the spark plugs though i'm glad i have Iridium in there so no headaches for now.
And i'm not going to drift the Subaru but i want to work on the 1994 Mustang and go drift that one and show those ugly ass Nissan's what's up with a solid axle V8 that can drift better than them.
Ken Block threw a lot of money into his STI can't imagine mine being 650hp

I filmed Vaughn Gittin Jr's original S197 Mustang back in 2008, and I have tons of footage that I shot of Van Den Brink's 700+hp STS Turbo Sn95 Mustang, the other drifters have a very hard time keeping up with him when he is the lead car...LOL!!! Gittin is a multiple Formula D champ and Van Den Brink is a multiple XDC champ. The Mustang just may be the perfect drifting platform.

Look at it this way a Boss 302 is a stripped down race version of a 2012 mustang with multiple mods. While an m3 still has a complete interior as well as a many other luxury items. So if ford was so confident they would compare the Boss to a real stripped down e92 m3 racer or even a 911 gt3 rs, which can be put into the same catagory as the piece of shit Boss.

There was a special a few weeks ago on SPEED Channel featuring the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang, they discussed the Boss beating the M3 in all areas, I'm sure it can be found online. There is also a video on YouTube of the M3 vs Boss 302 at the historic Leguna Seca circuit track. Sounds like you have a personal hate for Mustangs?

@tommy02wrx Muscle cars can handle quite well actually.. they were reknowned for their poor handling back in the 60's and 70's and yeah the old 4.6's in mustangs blow hard... but the new 5.0 Boss will corner very well as a matter of fact.. Not to mention the Corvette is still reguarded as a Muscle Car and the ZR1 is running with the Super Cars.. a real engine is the 5.7 LS1.. you can't go wrong with those.

This is funny... I had a 1996 Mustang Gt and I would do that all the time... Now I have a 1999 Cobra and I never miss a gear... I wanna say the shifter placement of the 94-98 mustang are really not in the best spot if you ask me. The cobra felt weird and akward when I first got it but now I like it better than the 96 shifter spot.... too low and close. The cobra requires more reach but when your speedshifting, it works out great!!!

heres the thing, that wrx is stock and roll races arent even races.. they take no skill you just have to be able to put the car in the right gear, digs actually take skill seeing hows you have to find the clutch grabbing point and make sure you dont spin or bog the car down, that wrx i know is awd but those cars are very good cars coming factory pretty decent. fuck all american cars because all they have is straight line speed and rwd.

god your so stupid, wrx's and sti's are totally different, sti's have bigger turbo, top mount, same size motor but bigger bore and bigger injectors, its like comparing a v6 mustang automatic to a svt cobra, and sti's do low 13's and wrx's (02-04) do around 2 seconds slower, sti's have 300 to the crank and wrx's have 227.

But now the Ford guys have the new 2011 (base GT, not Cobra, Saleen, Roush, etc) 412 bhp Mustang GT that runs 12's. But whats it matter, there is something good in the Subaru as well as the Mustang. The WRX is a rally car and the Mustang is a Ponycar that are intended for different performance purpose. And anyone with cash can make them faster than the other.
