it was in the original zelda and a few others i believe. games like oot,mm,and ph don't have it since this is different to the individual dungeon themes.

hmm..I don't see any errors at all with the notes. The section at 0:20-0:23 is a bit hard to reproduce since the alternating Gameboy notes overlap with some fade in the original.

One thing that you could've done was use more of the cars to sustain the bass line like in the original, and maybe try some chords in the part I mentioned above (mix planes?), but other then that I can't really fault it. It does sound just okay, but that can be fixed by choosing a more interesting song to compose.
