damn, now that i started to learn piano playing, after playing with other insturments just one note at time, this looks... a BIT overwhelming, and other sheets, easy as...
Wow. Your playing is amazing! I don't think I have heard this song played more beautifully. Is there a way I could have this transcription e-mailed to me if I am not looking to quite buy the DVD yet? Thank you so much for posting!
I am so grateful to have been able to see the transcription and watch your 'hands' and learn the thought process behind your choices. It's a lot easier than sitting behind my pianist and trying to figure out how he voices all of the chords. Thanks!
nice lessons. i am wondering what program do you use to show the staff with the lighted notes and also the keyboard that lights up when you play. i am a teacher and i can surely use this technology. thank you.
After listening to many of your tunes, I have to tell you I'm in love with your quiet, calm, peaceful, romantic, lovely piano style. I must listen every day! ~Christine
jazz2511, Thanks so much for all of this. I'm primarily a singer, and at times must settle for my own piano acc. Since I lack wonderful keyboard skills, ( my 'technique' consists largely of using sustain pedal, as artfully as possible). Though much of your stuff seems a bit beyond my mastery, ( or even comprehension ), the visuals, and notations are quite helpful, as I can grasp chords, &c., esp. since I'm playing an accompaniment to my own vocal. Again, Thank you.
So nice to hear a keyboard not being used as a thumping pad. The lessons here are applicable to any instrument: melody, color, note-sparseness, syncopation, rhythm, space.
Beautiful, as always. I'll be borrowing ideas from this. The black notes over Bb7 is an interesting idea, probably works for Bb9 and Bb13. I've used black note glissandos over Ebm7 but never tried this.
tastefully done my friend

There is a meditative calm to your playing. Reflective, interior and innately soothing. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
