Echo showed the posession of many of the traits we arrogantly think of as uniquely human. She proved that they are not so, and for anyone sufficiently non-arrogant enough to listen she has made many people realise that it's time we started showing more respect to other intelligent creatures who have complex lives independently of us.

Bless you Echo...you were more "human" than many actual humans !!

Experiencing this video I realize how POWERFUL "Man" can be. He can sustain and prolong this elephants life by giving medicine, or just watch it fade and die for the sake of documenting its life. It's true that let nature act itself . But we have the ability to lengthen LIFE.

Echo was the leader of generations. She will be remembered by elephants in Kenya forever, as we all know: Elephants never forget.

@gomezboy626 Clearly you have never appreciated animals and find them to be lower than you in status. Did you know that elephants are just as emotional as humans? They mourn the loss of their family members for decades, just like people. Echo was an elephant studied for 65 YEARS. People got attached to her because she was an icon in the animal world. She was a wonderful mother and leader, and just because she isn't human doesn't mean people can't mourn her death.
