For Mets fans, Philly fans...for baseball...for AMERICA...
To see a crowd put aside the game, a rivalry game, tied 1-1 in the 9th like that, and chant for their COUNTRY, all as one...to be united rather than divided, and showing mutual love and respect that is too often lacking and yet so very precious and prized...
It's another case of baseball being at its best when it's not, necessarily, about the game, but the people who make up The Nation. :')
