@Bdice3 The mustang is street car with only a supercharger and a suspension upgreat and it weights around 3500lbs. The JDM car is a drift built racing car that weights less than my cock... Its made for that kind of stuff and it handles way better. The mustang gt did a VERY good job keeping up with those cars with so few upgreats like it had. Mustangs are awsome even from the factory. The mustang gave me a boner not the jdm cars. Next time he should upgreat his exaust system. FORD FTW!!!

In europe the BMW e30 or e36 with big 6 cyl or with a v8 swap will do much better (you don't need a M3 to modify a car for drifting - and only e36 m3 are popular and cheap). Or Nissan S13 is good for a start. This is for showing some skills -- not a game for rich posers to their car look expensive. Mustang is very cheap compared to M3 or GTR .... See the "Mercedes Diesel Drift"

Vaughn's drifting is decent but not great. The trained eye can see that he doesn't follow through in his drifts like the other cars do (like you are supposed to do). And when he does follow through he loses momentum and almost stops the car. Look at the drift at 2:04 for example.

The Mustang can drift, there is no doubt about that, but this wasn't very impressive...

Also, by flexibility I was referring more toward the engine's revs. I haven't driven the new 5.0, but I have an 06 Civic Si, and my friend owns an 05 Mustang GT. His GT has the feel and everything, but the engine just doesn't have the same sense of urgency my Si does. Know what I'm talking about?

@100littlecurses : Yeah we know what your talking about, but remember by design the majority of USA V8 are made to produce a lot of torque, thus they can pull a lower gear where a JPN I4 engine does not, thus needing a higher gear to pull the car. For this you may feel the engine "lazy" but that does not mean it cant rev fast. This same design prevents them to reach 9000RPM.
