People can make Shenmue 3 happen , unfortunately there is not nearly a patch on enough people at the moment to get Sega taking us seriously. Lots of people = Profit to businesses like Sega and they have to think financially sadly after bad times not long ago. We need 500k to a few million Shenmue fans/ gamers to really do something, but it's not impossible as some people are saying.

Go to Facebook and join the Shenmue 500 k group and believe we can make something happen!

If Shenmue cost $70 million 10 years ago, imagine how much a HD enhanced Shenmue 3 would cost... it would be out of Sega's debt atm. Its a shame both Shenmue 1+2 did not sell well but I am hoping that Sega will port both games to Xbox Arcade and PSN sometime in the future and everyone should buy it!.

I can't believe it's already been 10 years. I can still remember the day I got this game, and how excited I was as if it were yesterday. The beautiful cover art, the 4 discs and all the manuals. Watching all the character profile videos on the passport disc and whatnot. And then getting a european copy of Shenmue 2 because they wouldn't release it in the US D: Helping the little girl with her kitten, the first time you encounter Chai... ugh, I need to replay these games again.

dios el mejor juegod e la historia !! en serio este juego es un antes y despues de los videojuegos, todo pero absolutamente todo era perfecto cuando jugabas realmente te metias en el juego, en los personajes, en los lugares, en todo pero absolutamente todo el universo shenmue te sumerge en otra realidad.... que ningun juego te ah llevado.... en serio es increible lo que me hizo sentir este juego...

One of the best games but sadly it's discontinued. I really hope it picks back up somehow....maybe it'll be like Starcraft 2, taking like 12 years to release a sequel. <_<;;;;; Maybe. Happy 10 year anniv.

Good memories :) I still remember to shop the first Shenmue and spending my Christmas Hollidays playing it. And one year later playing the even greater Shenmue 2 was just great. So it's beem pretty much a long wait for the completion of the saga.

Let the mystic of the game be reborn again.

You think Shenmue 2 was better? I think if to compare them they both have pros and cons but I prefer Shenmue.. A lot of the shops in Shenmue 2 seemed unnessicery..not to say it's a bad game, it's epic as hell.

@whatsyourstyle99 Yeah, you're right. I loved them both, but I guess the reason why I loved so much the second one was because the story and the world was so much bigger. Till then I've never seen such a thing on a video game, and it just blew my mind. And after all the action, we arrive in Guilin and get to know this new character, and the journey tho her home seems like a spiritual path. It just brings me good memories. I'm yet to play a game that brings me that kind of joy and satisfaction.

I know Yu's idea for the game was more of a life simulator where in your down time you could go and do anything but that made it boring at times

the second he put the game first and life simulator second which made it much more fun in my opinion

Definatley have to agree with you that it's better paced, and some sections of the game were really fun. On the whole a lot more to explore as well. I loved Kowloon and the atmosphere inside the buildings, but if you ask me something was lacking from the Kowloon experience.. Maybe the fact you couldn't go back to Hong Kong. Guilin was also a very dire way to leave us craving Shenmue fans!

How strange is this..I woke up this morning and my dad (No he wasn't murdered) knocked on my door and said "I got a game for you at the market" and it was Shenmue, marking my third copy. Love it, long live Shenmue!

We'll have to live with the Yakuza games until they make a new one.
