All Americans who adopt in China must go through Guangzhou where the American Consulate is. In Guangzhou, there is a 5-star hotel there called the White Swan where the majority of the adopting families stay. In this hotel is the "red couch" where it is customary to photograph the kids of the parents who traveled to China together.
