  • I was lucky to be able to see this at the Pantages in Hollywood, it was awesome and raunchy...I loved it..and they all smelled so good! That's how close they got to the audience...in your face!

  • peace never dies!

  • Ok so i went to see it and they welcomed kids there and it was soooo inappropriate!!!! We left after like 10 mins.! 1 song was all about drugs the other all about sex and then they all act like they're having sex and we were told later the entire cast is completely naked! :O

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 did you miss the part where it was a musical about hippies? It wasn't exactly a rated G lifestyle.

  • @mgnkriss I know! But w e thought it was more of a peace type of thing not everything else! And they welcomed kids! Thats wrong!

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 maybe because they expected parents to research the musical before they attended. Theatre isn't like movies. It doesn't have ratings because tradition says it's the parent's job, not the theater's, the producer's, or the cast's job, to decide what is appropriate for their kids.

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 I saw kids when I went I'm 18 and I was shocked that parents let their 5 year olds watch it, but they seemed to enjoy it, and most kids don't understand the drugs and sex parts (they might get suspicious when everyone is naked, LOL....but even that part is very dark on stage and not everyone is naked(although most r) I know one of the actresses and she said the nudity is optional each night, its a political and artistic statement, not a sexual thing. Also the bway website...

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 ...will tell you if a play is good to bring children to, it will tell you about the sexual content and the subject matter so you can make the best choice for your group, but the theater assumes that if you are buying tickets you know what you're buying, they won't stop you at the door and ask for ID, just like MOMA has an exhibit with nude photos, its all in the name of art.

The people who said, "Bring your kids" prob meant 14, 15, 16, ...

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 ...to show how it was back then for them to get a better understanding of what it was like when their parents were teenagers, and younger than that, well I wouldn't bring my child under 13 to go see it, but it is pretty colorful :) and besides, most kids see sexual things and drugs on an everyday basis, on tv, and in the movies and in music videos, and on the streets, I'm not saying its right its what our society has come 2, but at least in the context of HAIR, its historical

  • @madiheartsmakeup16 sorry for the long comment :(
