  • Merci!

  • Quel temps merveilleux... What the wonderful times! Che tempi meravigliosi...

  • I cannot think of anyone who wrote more beautiful songs than Trenet. And when he worked with the likes like Paul Misraki and Johnny Hess always a great song...this is certainly one of their most beautiful

  • I absolutely adore Charles Trenet, thanks for posting

  • It brings me back to the times when music had melody.

  • Soy argentino.

  • One of the reasons that I learned French is to understand Trenet's songs...So glad that I did it!!!

  • La version Sablon est largement meilleure ::))

  • Supèrbe!

  • Some comments here are as good as the song.I m happy my parents forced me to learn so many languages,so that i can understand a lot. And my heart goes Boum !

  • Thansk for the lyris my friend. Much appreciated.

Bonsoir...

  • In my country today, Spanish is becoming the "second language"--a fact my father predicted when I was in High School...way, way back, but I hear this song and KNOW why I took French, instead....Je ne regrette rien!!! Charles Trenet makes my heart sing, my spirit soar, (and gives me chills up and down my spine)!

  • Glad you like it! Charles Trenet's songs of the 1930s are very joyful.

  • When I listen to this man (I have been a fan since 1998) my soul sings with joy. Charles you were a great man !

  • What a wonderful comment from whom I assume is an American.

  • burnt62, your assumption is correct! I'm happy we share the same opinion of Monsieur Trenet. I only wish I had "discovered" him earlier. My French teacher, who was Swiss, introduced our class to many French singers....Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, but NOT Charles Trenet. I also had a French "penpal" who was a Johnny Halliday fan. I found Charles Trenet after hearing "Boum" during some movie's credits......thank God for the Internet!!! I just love his facial expressions, too!

  • I hope you do not like Jhonny Halliday for he just makes me laugh (or angry).

  • Miaina77~~Johnny Halliday is not one of my favorites, but I like to know what my French friend enjoyed and, since we were both still "kids", listening to him brings back good feelings of that era.

  • Absolutely beautiful music beautifully sung... Bravo!

  • Merci!

  • Wonderful from the great Frenchman from the South !!! Rest in peace Charles ... !! "Born a poet, died an athlete"

  • He used to walk for miles everyday to keep fit. He often remarked that he was born a poet but would die and athlete.

  • Merci beaucoup! Apparently.....it worked! He was active until the end, and had a long life.

  • loved it

  • bellissima ed indimenticabile ...

    Sapore del tempo perduto !

    Grande Charles Trenet !

    Grazie Camille!

  • Lovely. And again we have the image matched precisely to the time of recording: mid '50s. Bravo !

Trenet was popular in my country; his "La mer" - tremendous hit.

    The present song sings nicely.
