  • The thought of them filming this clip by performing to a sped-up version of the song makes me laugh. But then, even The Police did that when they made the clip for Wrapped Around Your Finger.

  • All time Fav split enz tune.

  • Purchased the ALBUM within the month it was released. To the rest of you, better late than never. Sorry the REST of you were so SLOW to catch on. Try "Mentlnotes" and go from there.

  • @MatineeIdyll the problem is this..... JOURNEY, STYX, FOREIGNER!!! That's what promoters shoved down people's throats and that's why people are slow to pick up. The charts and radio dictate what the general public listen to and the general public lap it up. England is no different... most of their music buying public depend on music magazines, which are xenophobic and self-interested. Living in Australia was a good in those days... we didn't have to contend with that bullshit...

  • @nzoz1983 Well said. Forgive my fit of cynicism. You have hit the nail on the head. Sadly, it seems to only be getting worse...what promoters are shoving down our throats. The Split Enz were a much underrated and under exposed musical group. I have been lucky to see Tim and Neil Finn perform together once on tour of "Woodface," and in 2004 when they toured together after the release of "Everyone Is Here." They played some Split Enz music as well. It was a beautiful thing. Cheers!

  • @MatineeIdyll Sorry for the late response... Split Enz were all but under exposed in Australia, infact, I think the general public could live the rest of its life without hearing 'I Got You' again.

  • @nzoz1983 Agree. The radio programmers decide what the hits are going to be. The sad thing is that most people never get to hear a lot of the great songs that are recorded.

  • @magpiesx5 the thing is, these programmers will eventually lose their leverage...and good riddance. MTV was once a racist little cable station and commercial radio speaks for itself... youtube seems to be the only way to spread good tunes, but it wont be long til something better comes along.

  • cracked up watching this

  • Always one of my favourite Enz tracks.

  • Nice jazz sound for these guys.

  • YES!

  • Still great, after all these years!!

    Thanks for posting

  • Tim forgets to mime his backup lines!

  • No worries, glad you're enjoying the channels! :-)

  • great enz tune.....

  • This is a great song and a cool video concept. This one should have been on their "Best Of" album. Split Enz were so creative and talented, and one of the most underrated bands in history. Truly one of a kind!

  • I love this too! Eddie is adorable here! Neil and Tim are just as entertaining in person!

  • Neil is so cute!

  • So funny to see Neil acting the rock god. Love this video.

  • My fave Split Enz album this, and I love love love this song!!! Eddie Rayner is perfection at a piano! Thanks for posting!!

  • I love how Noel is so deadpan compared to the rest of them!

Eddie's goofy grins and laughs are probably the most adorable things I've ever seen.

  • jennifer kyets fav band...

  • what exactly WAS eddie on ? He seemed very very very very very happy.

  • This was filmed at double speed and then slowed down so they were prob laughing at the Alvin & the Chipmunks sound.

  • another enz spelling :P, it's actually "strait" old line

  • Split Enz at their funkiest and best.

You can see in this clip that they were having good fun, even if there was an array of uncertainty within the band at the time.

One of my all-time favourites I never really tire of, no matter how many listens I accumulate.

  • Enz at the enz, still producing amazing music even towards their break-up. Could have confused fans seeing them in plain off-white suits!

  • the first time i saw this my first thought was what were they on when they wrote this... ha ha i love thsi song

  • Lol! Love their hair!

  • neil and tim sorta got a bit close there...
