  • compression is higher with the vette alum heads - corvettes 58cc vs f-body 64ccs--- combustion chambers ---

  • It's a 350

  • You are retarded, it's a 350tpi moron

  • I believe you have an LB9 engine. That's the 305 TPI. Your air intake is a telltale sign and your alternator is on the passenger side. A L98 alternator has the alternator on the driver side.

  • @kevindozier From Wikipedia. 1988 - All V8's engines received serpentine belt systems and the A/C compressors were moved to the passenger's side of the engine, de-cluttering the engine compartment.

Makes sense that other crap would have to be moved around as well, hence why his Alternator is on the passenger side. What you said about the alternator is true on newer L98s though. My old 89 Formula had the alternator on the driver side as does my 88 GTA I drive now.

  • Not true acctualy the 85 and some early 86 corvettes with the l98 had iron heads.

  • MC,80's L98 Corvettes got 2 bolt mains too

  • that's the only difference between the Corvette and the F bodys...is the aluminum heads. The F-body received the cast iron heads. Other then that The L98s are pretty much the same in borexstroke, compression, etc.

  • Do you have Corvette heads on it? or did you pull it out of a Corvette?

  • no, the L98 is just what they had in the c4 corvettes which is what Pontiac decided to put in the GTA Trans Am's also

  • Yeah, I know. But it isn't quite the same as a Corvette engine. The L98 GM put in F-bodies doesn't have aluminum heads of four bolt main.

  • Well this engine is whatever the GTA came stock with cuz I haven't messed around with the engine yet

  • You are my hero
