  • Magnificent set, I only have the 65 and boy did it cost me a arm and a leg.

  • Nice set of 2-cent pieces! I think the mintage was by far the highest on the 1864 and '65--they seem to be the most common. I like the odd-denomination coins, too. I'm a big fan of the silver and copper-nickel 3-cent pieces--a lot of those are pretty reasonably priced and easy to find as well.

  • Great collection dude.I only have like 3 Lincoln wheats I found in my spare Change and a bunch

    Of bicenntennial quarters and liberty

    Nickels I found

  • nice collection all in very fine condition

  • how much would it cost to buy a set?

  • Not sure. You would have to check a price guide for current pricing. Coin prices fluctuate and it depends on supply and demand. I think you would have a harder time just finding some of the coins.

  • I have an 1865 version, but mine has a hole in it as well does my 1853 half dime. any ideas on why they have holes in them?

  • Probably for Jewelry, Such as a Necklace or a Bracelet.

  • Excellent collection. All coins in great condition.

  • I have two 1864 two cent pieces. The one coin has the reverse side rotated 180 degrees to the obverse. Is this common?

  • cool coins

  • hi, i am a big metal detector. today i found a 1872 2 cent piece. the downfall is it was about 6 inches down and is currently tarnished green. the coin is in about the same condition as your 72 but just green. please let me know what i can do about this if anything!!!

  • The best thing to do is to take it to a reputable coin dealer and have them deal with the problem. Cleaning coins should not be done unless the object will further damage the coin. Coins are usually best left in the most original state found.

  • I just got my first 2 Cent Piece today! Plus an 1841 Large Cent.

  • QUESTION: I was in an argument on youtube with someone. They claimed that the 1864 two cent piece was issued by a "private bank" and not the federal government. I know it was designed by the US MINT. If it was minted by a private bank, it's news to me. Can any experts clear this up for me?

  • Far as I know, all two cent pieces were made and issued by the US Mint on the date of the coin.

  • my dad has a 1851 and i was told there wasn't a 1851 but he has one, could it be made by private bank? would like to know

  • What about the 1873 Proof?

  • There was a 1873 proof made but this collection doesn't include proofs. It is a business strike set.

  • Ah, kk, plus the proof is extremely expensive, more than the key dates.

  • Nice collection.

  • can some one tell me where i can compare the small motto/large motto next to each other in detail either photographs or pictures

as i can not see the difference or find the stem thats talked about in the video

  • In God we trust i didnot know that...

  • Do you have an 1857 Large Penny?

  • this year from late december to march ive found 1 1934 buffalo nickel 1 1945 merc dime and 5 silver rose's all in circulation that ive found rolled up at the bank whats the odds of that i dont go to the bank every day but i go like 1 or 2 times a week

  • I got another question. How much money would all 10 of those 2 cent peices? I got another that i forgot to ask you. When did the 500 dollar bills stop being made? I've just started on collecting coins. I probably don't even have 100 coins in my collection. I have a lot of UNC coins in my collection to, which makes me happy. :)

  • Not sure how much all of them are. The prices for the EF (XF) coins are fairly reasonable for a average collector. The 1864 Small Motto and the 1872 are the tough coins that will cost a good bit. The '72 is by far the hardest coin to find.

  • MAN youre collection is amazing!! *Bows Down* I wish I could have a collection like this someday. I collect lincoln cents, mercurys, puerto rican coins, and other US coins but my specialty is US Currency

  • how much is that worth cuz I have one dated 1865

  • Depending on condition, an 1865 can be in the price range of (Good $13) to (MS-60 [uncirculated] $120).

  • nice video. i dont even have a 2 cent piece!
