During breeding programs at zoos (which is done to help the species not go extinct) the cubs or whatever are kept in the household until a certain age because they would most likely be killed my one of the other lions. *cough* the male*cough*

There's been so many cases of people getting pet lions as cubs, thinking they're so cute, and "if you get them young you can train them to be tame" yet time after time, when they become adults someone accidentally startles them and they get their face torn off.

You just have to startle them for an instant and they'll rip you beyond repair. Usually someone just walks around a corner with the lion around it, and got in its face too fast for it to recognize them---then bam, dead :/

Brought tears to my eyes- this is a GOOD mother- you saw she was right there and as she said -Maddi is probably rougher on Sassy than the other way around- and how nice to teach our children compassion and caring for our fellow creatures than fear (which leads to violence)!!!!
