@billy119able Esme has not died, but her character is not of very much significance in Eclipse - so, to prevent the whole movie from being frightfully long and boring, the crew probably chose to keep Esme's role limited and not keep her around for more than strictly necessary. I thought her presence was sufficient and no more was needed, but I felt like they put too little light on Rosalie in Eclipse.
