I've seen and heard of plenty civics taking a fall because they didn't modify their drivetrains, seals or internal engine parts because their econo engines weren't made for that. All they did was added. What many don't know is most V8s can take up to 800hp in upgrades without having to mess with anything else. It's parts can already take high compression.

Bte so you have only upgraded the exhaust that maybe cost 200 and you probably cut the springs on it to lower it.

@Pitchblac7 It WAS sold as an Acura - it was hand assembled in Japan by highly skilled workers when it was in production - it will always be the Honda NSX...Acura is simply a marketing brand...while more designs are being penciled in Torrance CA now the majority of the design team is Japanese...which isnt a bad thing...but Americans are different and the Acura brand tried to cater to them - Id rather they just build awesome cars rather than change for fat people but hey - whatever works

@brandon6pk Not to mention their engines won't last with the added power of certain turbo kits. I've seen and heard of plenty civics taking a fall because they didn't modify their drivetrains, seals or internal engine parts because their econo engines weren't made for that. All they did was added. What many don't know is most V8s can take up to 800hp in upgrades without having to mess with anything else. It's parts can already take high compression.

Obviously a corvette looks better, sounds better, rides better, its like 100k for the Z06 I believe, so obviously it's going to dust any stock civic. I've seen blocks with turbos that have 1.6L displacement and relatively large turbo manifolds pulling about 7-800Whp, which is pretty impressive from something less then a 2L Pepsi bottle.

I also contend that if you spend a given amout on power adders the V8 will always give you the best residual for your money. Ther's simply no replacement for displacement.
