The Episcopal Church in the US will be gone by 2020. Completely. Whether joined with UMC, or Lutheran in some weird "United" church of America, it will be gone. ACNA and CANA will be competing for the true "Anglican" Orthodox voice of the US. TEC shot itself in the foot, and the demographics aren't in favor of long-term sustainability. The names and faces of those who wrecked it, will be long gone, having moved on to other pastures. Watch and learn.

@ScottMacFie....With 2020 just 8 years away, I'd say your prediction is going to be premature. But I think by 2111 (if humanity lasts that long) nothing resembling Christianity will remain and it will have morphed into a twisted fundamentalist hate group. "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12;31) is rapidly vanishing from the Christian scene and is increasingly replaced by "hate everyone different from us." Those who DO love their neighbor are fleeing Christianity and religion.

people say , that the pope is destoring the true church, but i think and this is my opinion that the pope is acting like christ would of acted, inviting back its lost brothers and sisters to join them at the "dinner table" rather than run after them and tell them constantly they are wrong, show them what the catholic church is and for themselves see what the whole truth is , becuase once you see the whole truth you can't claim ignorance. 2) As Anglicans believe in Jesus, His Teaching (the Gospel), revere Mary & know the basics needed for salvation, there is no point in this: they are not 'converting' to anything

To be Catholic = to believe in & live the Gospel, the true & only core of the Catholic Faith. It is the Key which unlocks the Kingdom of Heaven.

If they are valid, then Jesus lied by saying this: "You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." Matt:16:18 + Jesus never lied, because He was sinless God = your "valid" locutions are indeed invalid.

Simple laws of formal logic debunk it in a jiffy.

@szybkilopez566 FYI...Jesus never used the word 'church', as neither the word, or any linguisitic equivalent existed in the 1st century. Nor did the construct it described.

Scriptural Coherence shows very plainly that Jesus alone is the 'foundation' or 'rock' upon which the spiritual family He founded is built. That is all over the New Testament.

One is to obey God, not men. To live as He asks us to, as summarized in Jesus' teaching. The Sermon on the Mount & Beatitudes are found in the Old Testament, &His summation of the Law in Matt 22-36-40 is very clear.

The Apostles were to teach the Gospel by personal example, living in literal material poverty,as were their successors. Obviously the latter do not believe in the Gospel as they disobey this

@bombuchu Jesus did not found what you know as 'organized religion'. He founded a spiritual family of those who would seek to live His teachings )the Gospel) & believe in Him. God judges the heart - not which denomination or faith (or none at all..) which one is of; nor which doctrine one holds.

The Vatican does not believe in God nor does it live the Catholic Faith

Devout Anglicans have great love for Jesus & know His Gospel. Convert to....what? They already know God.

And further, that He strongly condemned the Apostles when they DARED to ask Him to call down fire from heaven on those preaching & healing in Jesus' Name....who were 'not of their group'?

I don't get it. What is an "ordinariate?" Is it like the entire parish is now a Catholic Church?

@shadmikharner It's a canonical structure within the Catholic Church. Anglicans can choose between staying in a traditional diocese or joining an ordinariate. Ordinariates has got their own bishops assigned. They can easily convert to Catholicism altogether, without any prerequisites, so to say.
