execellent footage!!! does wm run any chassis up in your area besides Condor and Volvo? Also do they have any rear loaders? And i hate how some of the Condors like the M/A squeek like a dying obese cat
@rws676 For residential it's all Volvo/WhiteGMC and Condor. However they have a Peterbilt rolloff, they recently got rid of a Mack MR rolloff, and all the septic trucks and the cart delivery truck are on Internationals. They used to have a couple RL's here before we went automated. One was a McNeilus RL on an International, the other was a Heil F5000 on a WhiteGMC WXLL
Amazing job! Exelent editing! I really like the zarn dump aswell! Also, did you get my PM? Again, nice collection of all the trucks that do Kennewick! Really enjoyed it!
@lawnboy1010 Thanks! I believe last year we had a 30% diversion rate, which isn't bad considering that recycling is voluntary. There will never be single stream here. The two main MRF's here in the NW want glass separate so it will always be 2-stream like this (glass and then everything else) however what probably will happen is it will either be like Portland, OR where we get a tub for glass and a cart for everything else, or like Walla Walla where you take glass to a drop box and cart the rest
@TrashMonkey22 - That diversion rate isn't bad ! Here glass and everything else can go in one bin , or if you have a cart. Why doesn't WM there offer Yard Waste collection ?
@lawnboy1010 The reason for no yard waste is because WM has outgrown the transfer station here. They need a new one anyway, but they have no way of handling separate yard waste at the current transfer station (it's small as hell) and the city is not being very cooperative about building a new transfer station. As soon as we get a new transfer station, I'd be willing to bet that there would be a yard waste service here.
Awesome! I always love seeing those weird ass underground cans in action, as much of a fail as they are it still is cool to see. I like how he broke that piece of wood at 8:35 that Dempster sounds a lot like one of the recyclers I recently filmed when it takes off.
@mtr82952 Personally, I don't think the underground cans are much of a fail, at least here anyways. It's almost always windy here, so it does a good job keeping trash from blowing around at these apartments. As a result, they are significantly cleaner than most other similar apartment complexes here. The only thing that sucks about them is having to pull them out of the ground lol.
Excellent work! Really liked how the video turned out with all the driving shots etc. When do you think Kennewick will get new trucks? Automated Recycling for the future? And what do you think the new trucks will be?
@JaccobDalton Thanks man! The mechanics take pretty good care of the trucks here, so these current trucks should still have a few more years left in them. Automated recycling and a yard debris program have been talked about on and off for years, but so far nothing's happened yet. I wouldn't be surprised if that begins to change soon though. Washington is starting to get ideas from California's environmental laws. If/when we get new trucks, I'm guessing either more Curotto Can's or McNeilus M/A's
@JaccobDalton I'm guessing when we get new trucks they'll be Autocar. WM seems to mostly be buying Autocar right now, especially up here in the Northwest.
so like, what happens in ice storms when the lids freeze shut?

@TrashMonkey22 I hope Kennewick doesn't buy Condor right now lol, they squeak horribly!!! This is the best Condor Chassis by far.
