I am a scientist who refuses to reject an idea without data. Christianity, etc. can't really offer testable hypotheses. Witchcraft is like running an experiment because you can observe the results. What spell would any of you suggest I do to determine, for myself, whether this is real or just more psycho horse shit?

@WellConditionedChimp Your opinion. If it's horshit or not but if you really want to look into Reiki its actually a style of healing that allows your tissue to heal faster and regenerate. If you look into it it has deep psychologicly impacts.

you know Valu777, through all the years of Christianity has been around people changed christianity a lot plus adding on to it christian is pretty much Pagan B/C the Holidays you celibate are pagan, the christmas carols you sing are actually used in Pagan rituals, praying is a form of magic (yes Pagans and Wiccans pray too) all what the christians did was take Paganism renamed it, took away the goddess, change the meaning of the holidays and split good and evil apart

why should religion be about fear. Im not wiccan but im thinking of becoming one. I was baptized catholic but i dont believe anymore because some people think they are better then others just because they believe in god. same people that i know who clam to believe in god and the writings of god are the most unreligious people i know. Your one of those people that make me not believe in god so thankyou for helping me decide that alot of the christan religion is just a way to control people.

Being new to this I find this very interesting and have been in search for a school for learning Witchcraft for Witches. Being solitary is hard and finding a good school is hard; this I would like to continue

Solitary practice is pretty hard, but if you can't find a school in your town, check the internet.

Or you can just buy books suggested by fellow pagans. :]

I think that's part of the "hard" part. They ALWAYS suggest books to read, but books are certainly not cheap.

You can buy books online, used, for a third of the price. just do a search on used books. You'll be surprised how cheap you can get them for, even with shipping costs.

I go to Amazon to buy the majority of my books... try to find the cheapest copy in the best condition. No probs yet!

Recommended reads: "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" and also "The Truth about Witchcraft Today" - both by Scott Cunningham. It's a good intro into the subject :)

Honestly it sounds more like a business. If the money spell worked then they wouldn't need to sell things on thier site. Just my opinion. It would be really cool if there was an organization that didn't have to charge money for things like this.

I have to say, I really do love Don. He has the PERFECt voice for a teacher. It is very level, very calm, and is quite fatherly in tone.

I have always wondred though, do you teach things from a few other pagan view points as well, or is it, for the most, strictly from a Wiccan perspective? Not being a Wiccan I find literature for my specific branch of Pagansim fairly hard to come by... probably the whole oral tradition thing.
