But CoD helps your reflexes so playing pretty much anything can help anything, even walking can help you. @OfficialDefiance Before I started playing drums, I used to play Rock Band. It improves your skill on hitting faster and being able to use the reflex of the foot. It helped me to get ahead when starting to play the real instrument. So virtual games with plastic instruments can help with real life with real instruments.

@elmotouchesme97 Similar skills, not the same. There is no measure of velocity in Guitar Hero which, on eletronic and acoustic kits, greatly account for the player's technique and musicality. Also, the pads are entirely different from an acoustic or electric drum head, thus you are not able to use many of the techniques that you would conventionally. There are just far too many variables to list in the given youtube parameters... so, really, it's much like comparing the guitars.

@MindOfPagan I agree that GH/RB do not cover the full breadth of drumming possibilities, but I just did want to play devil's advocate and point out that you are actually wrong on both of those two reasons.

GH pads are velocity sensitive, as are RB pads, and there are notes in-game that have to be hit harder than others for them to register properly.

The pads I'm using in this video are mesh, very similar to the same mesh you'd find on an electronic kit.

@bjrambo right, the game bought the rights to it, but if you look at the manuals for games, it says "this game is only to be played in your home".

when you run say, a supermarket, you have to pay money to run the radio over the loudspeaker for everyone to hear, to get a license that says "i can play this music to multiple people", even if it's not making money.

i'd have to get a license to "broadcast" this music. this isn't a cover either, and my covers on real drums have been muted too.

@xnetshadowx it's not so much me specifically, many, many people get hit with flags, but they choose not to audioswap and risk a ban. When you get hit by a flag, you can leave the audio on, but get too many flags, sometimes even just 2 or 3 at once, and you get banned (it happened to IBite and JLC, neither of which had any strikes, just lots of flags).
