Atlas V also can act as a CLV if the phase III upgrades and or ACES 41 upper stage are implemented.

ACES 41 also would greatly increase the Delta IV-H's payload as this vehicle really could use a more powerful upper stage.

Upgrades such as ACES 71 could be used on Shuttle-C or Direct as an EDS.

If Bishop wishes to save jobs in his state then he better push for Shuttle-C or Direct as this would create new capability vs needlessly replicating the EELV's.

Ares I was broken the day they removed the SSME besides there never was a need for a new 20T class LV as we already have two and soon three in that payload range.

Actually F9-H and the Delta IV-H with the RS68A or RS68B engines outperform Ares I.

28,000 and 30,000kg vs 25,000kg F9-H can lift 32,000Kg if vehicle recovery is dropped.

If Congressman Bishop thinks Garver is the prime author of the problems with constellation then evidently he has failed to read the Augustine commission report. Bishop is so busy trying to score political points that he either unwilling or unable to do the basic elements of being a congressman.

@wasatchwatcher : If you don't realize GARVER is the so-called 'brains' behind Obama's plan - then evidently you have failed to do your homework on the topic. Congressman Bishop is SPOT ON with this.
