I feel bad for you, because you're getting a lot of shit. Good song, but you raped it! :) have nice day stoner kid, I'm sure you're much better- think about it this way- you may have played a bad job, but you still got 33,000 + veiws! so don't cry, just learn how to play
metronome play to a slow beat and slowly speed it up to proper timing do it slow till it is absolutely perfect and then add some speed I am doing it all over after ripping tendons in playing fingers it sucks but slow first till it's polished
What? NO. I play guitar and mandolin too, but clarinet is SOOO much harder. Wind instruments are WAY harder. Try doing glissando a guitar, now try it on a clarinet..
You are doing good. You need to play along with the original and get the tempo right its a jumble the way you are rushing in and out of parts. it s really bad...
That is a Tacoma M1 or M2 mandolin. I don't think Tacoma makes them anymore, they were made for a few years starting in the late 90's. I had an M1, like playing it, but wasn't crazy about the sound.
What kind of mandolin is that? It looks huge for a mando, and it's incredibly sharp sounding in it's tone. It doesn't look like you're that close to the bridge, either.
Try using a thinner pick, it helped me a ton

needs work, slow it down, put your heart in to it........or something
babyduck34 1 year ago
This sounds nothing like Going to California.

3 tips. 1. slow it down
2. use a thicker pick. your thin pick makes the tone really thin and makes a noticable clacking sound that only really fits eastern music
3. alternate your pick strokes more. all down strokes makes it sound choppy
Im not trying to be an asshole like everyone else here, I'm just trying to give you constructive criticism

Yea, I can't even tell that this is Going to California. It is so random and far off tempo. Keep working on the timing and it'll be good, though.

Your timing is terrible.
