Got scammed here in santa clarita cali. Only payed 140 bucks but still i could have used that money. I havent even tested the speakers to see if they work. Going to cops to get them back. One of the guys followed me into my bank so they have video on them.
Just got fu*#in ripped off today by these two fu#!ers in San Pedro,CA.Lost $200 bucks for a Paramax surround system they claim is worth thousands. Fuc!#n liars!!! It was clearly a piece of sh#! when I opened the box!!! Those two guys I hope burn in hell and they can take their family too! Feel like a fool for being cheated into this scam.I guess I may have got a bit too greedy as well. Anyways, hope to see all these scam artists burn in hell!!!...and their families too!
i just got mine i bout the paramax p-7 got it for $100 but it dosent come with a recv. still pissed about it .... but if i ever see them againg ill will mess thenm up! ! ! ! !!
I just got hit today.... They got 300 from me... To hell with this scammers, I thought it was a good buy since my daughter is turning 3 years old this weekend and I just wanna throw a good party for her and her friends. Co you tuber beware I live in Nj and here's the number of the guy who scammed me 2013048536 and he said his name is mikey.... Let's unite and pest him with phone calls!!!
Just a little correction: I was on my way back from work. I was reveling in the moment that 1, I was smarter than those clowns, and 2, I've got a kick-ass home theater system that I have for years. Other than that, sorry about the typo. Peace.
Oh and one more thing, I looked it up online this morning, and lo, there's that same scam with all the details you described. I don't mean toot my own horn, but I am one smart Youtuber! LOL. Oh, and my home theater system kicks ass!
Yeah! I got something for you. On my way back to work, I stop at a gas station/ Dunkin Donuts facility and lo, there's these two men who were trying to sell me these same kind of sound system as they did you. And their story just the same as in your situation. But here's the twist: I said I wasn't interested and despite their pestering, I walked away. When I came out of the gas station, they were gone. I knew it was a scam, and besides I've already got a home theater system. Hooray for me!
Ran into these guys a few times in the last 20 years. It's always two wimpy mid 20s FAT guys who try to act buff and trendy. They love to refer to you as BRO or BRAH over and over.
It is fun to play along and waste their time. Get ready to buy and then back out acting concerned over THEM getting in trouble and losing their "job". Even though they travel in pairs for safety, I've found it safe to piss them off as long as you're not 90 years old or in a wheel chair.
No bullshit... my room mate got scammed into getting the Kirsch k10.. thats retailed at like 3,000 he paid like 350 for em.. and then found out they were scams.. he used em for about a year all the time with a mixer hooked up... they sounded good as shit.. he gave em too me when we moved out and i have been using them for about 2 years now and they still sound legit... cheap shit i know.. but i got lucky i guess cuz mine have been great ..
I got my paramax for 160 lolz so i actually got lucky compared to a lot of people mostly since Paramax isn't actually bad at all. I may have got ripped off for 20-30bucks?
paid $100 for mine, honestly any 6 piece set that works is worth that...they sound better than the crappy $400 panasonic set i bought at walmart that stopped working after one use!
You should all quit whining and learn something from these guys. Everything you experience in life is a scam, advertisers telling you that what you are eating is good for you, walmarts advertising the lowest prices, auto mechanics, and car salesman and of course your government. Did you forget you were in America? This is capitalism baby, STFO!!!!!!! These people are obviously much smarter than you. Few careers are as patriotic as that of the salesman.
I love how you say, "which is a plausible story" when the fact that the "boss" or "warehouse" screwed up their order so they are just going to sell this $2,500 speaker set for a couple hundred bucks is TOTALLY unbelievable.
What is much more likely is that you believed that they were selling stolen speakers, but as you just saw a great deal in front of you you didn't want to question it.
This is why I feel no sympathy for the victims of this scam. You are complicit in a way.
I used to drive a truck. I was in atlanta and I got the same scam in a truck stop. anyway i ended up paying $200 for the kirsch system. its worth about 200 so i didnt get ripped but is still pisses me off as they tried to sell it for about 2,000. shit happens and I ended up pawning it for $200 so I got my money back :-) as long as you learn your lession its ok
dude this shit happened to me bout a year ago right after work. I was just about to leave when al of a sudden a white van rolls up next to my truck and the guy flags me down. he told me he was just coming down from this event they had in this collage up the road and he had lots of leftover merchendise, and he said he had to sell it fast. so to make a long story short I ended up buying a Kirsh home theater system and a 32 inch LCD tv for a $1000.And it all works to this day.
Seriously you all deserve this if you fall for it. YOUR GREED is what got you there. Yes these people that sell them are scum sucking low life mother raping assholes but you idiots that think your getting a $2,000 system for $100 are plain dumb and you deserve these shit systems. PEOPLE LISTEN TO YOUR GUT. IF ITS TOO GOOD IT IS. If people weren't so greedy and dumb you wouldn't get ripped off!! Are you going to be mad at the Nigerian Scammers next? TELL THEM ALL TO FUCK OFF!
I've had three attempts on me in 2008, but didn't fall for it. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is. I was a prime target since I'm a single guy with disposable income driving in a pickup truck (easy access to haul the knockoff items home after buying them).
dang the same thing that happend to u did to me tday>:( man it sucks it started when i was going to target and this guy comes out like "hey i know this is kind of out of the blue but i got some 3000 doll speakers and this chinese dude gave me two he gave me two dude 3000 speaker" and i was like na im cool. and he said look come and shows me and rips up the box and it looked new and he had this magazine that had the speaker and it looked legit so i was like idk man what if its a scam and....
i got scammed today....they got me for $200 though....it was a pickup truck and it was olin ross surround sound... lesson learned- if it's too good to be true it is and never buy something off the side of the road
i got scammed yesterday!!! fucking pussys but sounds comes outta them and all that good shit so i dont no what to think just pissed because i payed 400 like a dumb ass!! learned my lesson
this is why everyone should carry a firearm. Then you point it at them and ask them if they are trying to scam you, and you can watch them sweat bullets and beg you not to shoot them. Works every time.
Even if these speakers are worth about $50 and even if you can get a good deal for them, you should stay far away from them. Supposedly the impedance can vary so much (from 8 to under 2 OHMS) that it can damage your receiver!
watching your video really pumps me up!!! i can only salivate at the thought of how many more laydowns like you are out there!? "look them in the eye"," pitch them high ", " watch them buy". aint life grand?
For your $1000, you bought excitment. You bought the excitement of getting a great deal that you thought you were scamming someone else on... ie the "boss".
So you bought a setup maybe worth $200 and spent $1000. Staples sells cables for $40 that they buy for 13 cents. The difference is what? A store front?
You bought the sizzle and without asking about the steak. It is what it is.
I was scammed yesterday by two white guys. They ripped off $260. I bought Olin Ross system (OR703) from them. They two white guys used van, KIA Sedona, color- Sunset Gold precisely for the operation. They were articulate, persuasive and very good in marketing skills. They did Hi-5 each other at the end transaction and they even requested for money for beer as explained by Wikipedia. This happened in Pennsylvania.I do not know if I should report this to the police
This actually happened in Pennsylvania. I do not know if I should report this to the police because they come with me to the ATM Machine and the surveillance cameras would have captured the events.
actually $100.00 for the floor speakers the bookshelves and subs are probaly $50.00 at best not half bad systems some of them but some are real rip-offs like the ones that have pre-blown tweeters LOL
I always wonder how people don't immediately pick up on the fact that its a scam by the fact that they are trying to sell you something drive by out of a van. I don't care what it is that theyre selling.
That said; anyone know a good list of white van brand speakers?
Not a victim, but yesterday a co-worker did purchase this system for $250! We are in Miami, Florida and it's crazy to hear this happening all the way up north in NYC! When he returned from break he told me the same story on how they approached him.
That shit is in NYC now. It's the same way and everything. Thanks for putting this video up for the other people out there. The shit they sell is worth a grand total of $40 (Epic-100 5.1). NikTakTai, How can you give these assholes credit for what they did to you bro? Even if they were good at what they did, they should go to hell.
Dude i got scammed today how sad =[ but i paid 220.. Hmm i wrote down their license plate though just in case i get scam so yeah iono if i should turn them in.. any advice??
I'm sorry to hear your story. I was walking out of my credit union...and there was the van. I talked him 'down' to $600. They are pure junk of course. Thanks for making this video. The only way to prevent this from happening to others is to educate them. Despite what you say, most people with spare cash would fall for this. These guys are pros.
Not a victim but when I was looking for a job way back when I went to one of these places and got to hear how they work. Basically they hang around atms, and anything over 200 they pocket, and the "boss" gets the rest. I cant call it a scam, but its damn close. Its the same as going to the flea market to purchase equipment, odd names like Kirsch instead of Klipsch.
BEWARE Sam Soslowitz is a white van scammer he travels around North Carolina scamming with that same story, he is about 5 foot 8 inches tatoos on arm emo dueche bag
yo white van got me for $180 for a shitty epic100 5.1 sound system w/ same story, but i got his name number and address and have a sting in motion this pussy as bitch is going to give me bak my fucking money
they just got me for $480. Sigh. I mean yes they work but do not hook up to the PS 3 which is why I bought it. Oh well what can you do. I got suckered.
to give up a thousand dollars in ten minute for some shit you dont know about makes you a greedy fucking idiot the first thing you probley thought was to sell the shit wrong
and then you say i give them props your a dick you watch them high five and you didnt think for one second that you was getting hustled your a man wake the fuck up
Had those guys pull up to try to scam me but knew it was bullsh#t speakers. Told him that and said he had some good amps at his house figuring he around the corner, when to see what he had, ended up with a conrad johnson MV75A tube amp, found out the guy was in to vintage audio, so got lucky only paid $1000 for a amp worth $3500. a company hire these guys to sell the bullsh#t speakers there only make 20% to sell this crap. (just look at what your buying before buying it.)
well the good for nothing peice of shits are lying to make the sell, that is called FRAUD end of story. every single one of them deserve a serious ass beating
I am offended, I have never sold a vaccum. Who ever said we start as vaccum salespeople is an idiot!!! Its funny the people that whine the most pay the least. They actually got a good deal! And they complain. Go into any store and buy anything, its all made in China and marked up 100+++%. STFO!!!!
hey i have seen those guys in orlando ...just get out and pretend you are looking and whip some ass .....batt mase choke out lol fuckk them punks ....
What A PATHETIC video. Does it make for feelings better?
Really Don't Open your eyes too much about the world you live you just might find Every Retailer you buy from doesn't pay what you pay and the commercials you are subjected too are loaded with excitement and intrigue. I could go on but don't want to see another PATHETIC video of You having a heart attack
I got scammed today...for a $1000 dollars also. Same situation. It was in a Safeway parking lot. Two guys in a Grey Toyota 4runner. In Federal Way WA. Most states require these people to have a sales license. If your smart enough to get the plate number and contact the police right away they may be able to fine them or lock them up for a short time. I was not smart enough to get the plate number. I guess I was too excited about the deal I was getting.... I'm just another sucker!!!!! Scammed.
if they work for a marketing company ( very likely because they sold you ) its all perfectly legal from start to finnish the pitch show and close its has been repeated all over the world for the last 30 years. Belive me im a retired scammer
This happened to me in the Dallas, Tx. area by speakermanchoo. I later saw him and he gave me my money back plus an extra $100 not to call the cops!! lol.. Another one bites the dust!!
"Buddy, my boss fucked up on the loading dock and now I got a leftover 3800.00$ system...2200 watts! Can't go wrong!" Dude tried to get me for 1200 but I managed to talk him down to 560 (still...I got ass-raped). I have nobody but my self to blame really... what do you expect from 2 stooges that look like elementry drop-outs. It just happens so fast...uniforms, magazine, website link, "proven reviews"..lol. Don't be an idiot like me.. just fork out the cash for a bose system if you want high-end
long time speaker guy here from florida...you people are funny as hell, your the ones buying the story and your the ones happy about the deal you got the speakers are fine its what we pay that you dont like boo hoo... i love watching these videos of you retards please post more...
wait so hold on ,, let me make sure you know i think these guys are scumbags aswell , but isnt it funny how all the people that fall for it cry,,, They think they are buying speakers that are stolen or "overstock" thats why they are getting such a good deal,, but yet their is nothing wrong with that eaither hmmm next time , i think its funny that these people cry scamed when they themselfs are trying to scam these peoples boss or thought so
This strikes me as odd coz I could never imagine even considering buying something from the back of avan/truck whatever.
I'm sorry but I would've drove away as fast as possible or lock all doors, turn up the music and ignore them. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.
Maybe I'm not getting the full story I don't know. It just sounds strange to me, I'd be worried they were going to kill me or something.
Dude. Don't feel too bad about this. I fell for this. It happens real quick. I figured they were worth at least $90 - 120 because they were pretty sharp looking. And I could re-sell them and get most of my money back. Only cost me $150 though bro. $150 for a valuable life lesson, and a constant reminder of how stupid I can be, even when I was pretty sure it was a scam all along.
its ok stoping the car and all y do the same but what i dont understand, are the speakers so god and you dont see the label.if you like cool electronics you shoud now more abbout them like me..!!!
I was very suspicious the entire time. I was pretty sure it was a scam. But I took a gamble, and lost. I didn't lose $1000, just $150. I figured at $150, I could easily re-sell them for $90 and recoup my losses. Now I'm tossing them.
It all happened too fast though, I didn't have time to thing, and I ignored my better judgment.
Also. Just to add. I didn't really buy their story....but truth be told, I'm kind of a pansy, and they are very pushy and actually kind of intimidating. They came right up to me at my car and were very in my face. At first I thought I was getting car jacked or something. They won't take no for an answer. And they put the speakers in your car right away, and get in with you. Ashamed to admit it, but they intimidated me, and basically bullied me into buying crappy speakers.
Were you upset at the men, or yourself? because I was and still am pretty ashamed of how easily I was bullied out of $150. I'm 20, and basically had my lunch money stolen.
@twosevens916 If i payed 1000 for them like he did id be crying too

They were articulate, persuasive and very good in marketing skills. They did Hi-5 each other at the end transaction and they even requested for money for beer as explained by Wikipedia. This happened in Pennsylvania.I do not know if I should report this to the police

This actually happened in Pennsylvania. I do not know if I should report this to the police because they come with me to the ATM Machine and the surveillance cameras would have captured the events.

rocknrolla90 3 years ago
I always wonder how people don't immediately pick up on the fact that its a scam by the fact that they are trying to sell you something drive by out of a van. I don't care what it is that theyre selling.
That said; anyone know a good list of white van brand speakers?
nakedslaveboy 3 years ago
Not a victim, but yesterday a co-worker did purchase this system for $250! We are in Miami, Florida and it's crazy to hear this happening all the way up north in NYC! When he returned from break he told me the same story on how they approached him.
TQsVision 3 years ago
That shit is in NYC now. It's the same way and everything. Thanks for putting this video up for the other people out there. The shit they sell is worth a grand total of $40 (Epic-100 5.1). NikTakTai, How can you give these assholes credit for what they did to you bro? Even if they were good at what they did, they should go to hell.

Dude i got scammed today how sad =[ but i paid 220.. Hmm i wrote down their license plate though just in case i get scam so yeah iono if i should turn them in.. any advice??
khmaiiGurl 3 years ago
I'm sorry to hear your story. I was walking out of my credit union...and there was the van. I talked him 'down' to $600. They are pure junk of course. Thanks for making this video. The only way to prevent this from happening to others is to educate them. Despite what you say, most people with spare cash would fall for this. These guys are pros.
paulnptld 3 years ago
Not a victim but when I was looking for a job way back when I went to one of these places and got to hear how they work. Basically they hang around atms, and anything over 200 they pocket, and the "boss" gets the rest. I cant call it a scam, but its damn close. Its the same as going to the flea market to purchase equipment, odd names like Kirsch instead of Klipsch.
kdc300z 3 years ago
What seems interesting to mee we all not the top name speakers so why fall for names you never heard of

Scammed.

I have nobody but my self to blame really... what do you expect from 2 stooges that look like elementry drop-outs. It just happens so fast...uniforms, magazine, website link, "proven reviews"..lol. OH YA!!!!! to me yesturday in San Antonio Texas Exact same story
telise69 4 years ago
This strikes me as odd coz I could never imagine even considering buying something from the back of avan/truck whatever.
I'm sorry but I would've drove away as fast as possible or lock all doors, turn up the music and ignore them. I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.
Maybe I'm not getting the full story I don't know. It just sounds strange to me, I'd be worried they were going to kill me or something.
BrightEyes05 4 years ago

Larryeileen 4 years ago
Kirsch is a knockoff of Klipsch.
And, the moment that somebody propositions you like that on the road, weren't you the least bit suspicious that his intentions may not be honorable?
Sorry to say but, not only did you get ripped off, but what you did was also foolish.
Intersonus903 4 years ago
I was very suspicious the entire time. I was pretty sure it was a scam. But I took a gamble, and lost. I didn't lose $1000, just $150. I figured at $150, I could easily re-sell them for $90 and recoup my losses. Now I'm tossing them.
It all happened too fast though, I didn't have time to thing, and I ignored my better judgment.
gcoll27444 4 years ago
Ashamed to admit it, but they intimidated me, and basically bullied me into buying crappy speakers.
gcoll27444 4 years ago
The same thing happened to me, its unbelievable how well they can sell, i bought two of them for 350.00 a piece!!! i was and still am upset.
benz4me86 4 years ago
Were you upset at the men, or yourself? because I was and still am pretty ashamed of how easily I was bullied out of $150. I'm 20, and basically had my lunch money stolen.
gcoll27444 4 years ago
Hahaha, you paid $1000 for speakers out of a van? Without looking them up? Wow, your brilliant...
Hey I have some stuff for sale, you can come by any time :D
