  • I work at hobbies shop the sound of the engine is flooded

so stop trying to start it your making it worse

u have to pull out the glow plug and tip it up side down wait for 10 mins then close it and give it a wiz

  • Hi try tuning with the engine on. Is that still does not work then buy from nitro tek that are the best.

  • Mine has done this before, i accelerated on the remote and kept it going until it decided to start

  • flush all needles to edges and then start it let it get warm then tune it check your glow plug

  • will i have te same car as u i bourt it 1 year ago dont spray the glow plug with wd40 it mixes with the nitro fuel and gos sludgey put the screw flat to the ring edge and try if it fails to start take out the glo pug and turn over 10 times and c if the nitro fuel is coming into the engion if not something is wrong thats all i know hope it gets u started

  • cause you are tuning it when the engine is off you never must do that

  • hey i have the same car as u without electric satrt mines pull. anyway i know why it wont start. it wont start because u need to do this get some wd40 and take out the glow plug. and spray a bit of wd40 then pull the starter a few times. there shouldnt be starting. all it will do is lube the inside. then once done pulling get a thin rag and put it on a screwdriver and dry the excess spray of wd40. then clean your glow plug. once done that. just screw it all up then u all good. k there u are.

  • Hi m8 can you tell me where you got your drill start thingi cheers and try using a hair dryer to warm it up but i expect you have it goin now lol nearly a year ago :)

  • nitro tek. try that mate. ;)

  • umm it sounds like it might be running a lil too rich on fuel.. try tightening the bolt for the fuel thingo lol hav noo idea wat its called

  • no työnnä perseesees sitten se romu jos ei toimi

  • hi mate first thing u wanna do is check if your glow plug works, ur car dosent sound like it wanst to fire up, check the glow plug, then check the idle, make sure u have a gap, increase it to help it start, if not lean your LOW end needle, there might be too much fuel going in and becuase its cold not wanting to fire up. hope i helped let me know :)

  • did it come like that? with a drill start i mean?

  • no. it came with a standard pull start which snapped after a month or so. :S so i bought that.

  • is your starter charged? is the glow plug ignitor charged? is the glow plug any good? is the engine flooded? try all of these

  • you fucking kid,get a job and stop pratting about with toys.. u broke bastard

  • if i were a kid i'd swear like you. i take it your parents didn't let you play with toys then? whats getting a job got to do with anything and if i were broke i wouldn't be buying expensive fuel. Think about things!

  • Have you tried richening the idle? It is possible that the carb is not open enough so not enough fuel is getting into the engine, if you take off the air filter and look at the carb it should be open at least about 3mm (Roughly the thickness of a credit card) Also check the glow plug, make sure it is glowing bright white/orange, that could also be the problem. Hope this helps

  • Also, the fact that it is very cold atm will not help, you do actually get different types of glow plugs that accomodate for changes in the weather (You could try using a hairdryer to warm up your engine). Another thing that might help is to check the instructions for the default carb settings and make sure they are set to that because sometimes they get them wrong at the factory

  • thanks i have tried a hairdrer on it once and it didn't seem to make much different.

I'm hoping to use an actual drill to make the flywheel spin faster?

  • Yeh suppose that wouldn't do any harm, Though if the roto start is fully charged i can't see why there would be a problem ^^ Just be thankfull you don't have a pullstart, your hands would be shredded by now xD Have you ran it much before this btw ?

  • yeh. i've ran it loads.U used to have a pullstart but the string snapped.

I tool it on the beach in the summer. Would the sand have done any damage. I have ran it since though

  • Yes, if you managed to get sand down the carb or in the engine at all then it would totally nacker your engine, it gets between the spaces where the engine parts move and wears them away. If you ran without an air/fuel filter, and did not run your engine dry then pour some after-run into the engine after then you are likely to have problems >.>

  • try to take 1 air filter out

also using some sort of siringe or summit inject fuel through the carb directly hope this helps (dont try the hairdryer again it pushes the fuel out through the pipes causing it to stop working for this car) i tried the same

  • cheers. i will keep that in mind for when i next try it. thanks

  • thanks for the advice. yepthe glow plug works cos i burnt my finger on it.lol. Also the carb is set open at the recomended distance.

  • same here. i havn't bothered for a few days now because i end up punching things cos it's so frustrating.

  • i have the exact same problem

  • yeh. it's rely starting to get on my nerves cos i've just bought £15 worth of fuel and it won't start up. Has this ever happened to you before.

  • yup brought new fuel nothing happened in the end i got fed up of it and now i only try to start it when there is a posibilty of it starting
