Why did the theme during the opening credits only have lyrics during the first season? Tragic. It is one of my all time favorite TV them songs and it is apparently so obscure that before just now I thought I was the only one who remembered it. Thank you for posting this!!

@2ManyVoices I think J.D. had some disagreements about this song with the studio or the label, or something like that… And after six episodes they fired everyone and restarted the series, which finally started being good. I guess the trade-off of keeping the series on the air was losing the original song… Something like that. I think it's on Wikipedia, somewhere…

Star Wars isn't out on blue ray...so why the FUCK of all things sacred would this shit come out on blue ray? Why? So I can see how clear Richard Lewis jew mullet looks? Give me a break!

@transloco It's one of the few romcoms that I can watch without breaking out in hives. Really a good series that should have lasted a bit longer.

@poetisamiami The first season was released on DVD in 2007, I believe, but that's been it so far. Certainly no Blu-Ray release.

@AmeerahAmelia1 there are a few websites that make it simple to convert YouTube videos to mp3. But I'm sorry the quality of the audio will probably make it sound awful good luck!

Well, I'm glad to see that I wasn't the only one that had to go out and rent the DVD's in order to hear this great song once again I think it's difficult to find it because they only used it in six episodes. I don't think it appears in any JD Souther discs. Bummer

My mom and I used to LOVE this show. I still own a VHS tape with just about every episode recorded. Ahh, VCR's...the good old days!

Thanks so much for posting this. "Anything but love" was one of my favourite shows back in the 80s. Richard Lewis has been and will always be so hilarious and back then really cute. Have been searching for the episodes of the show without success. Even if I never find them warm memories will be always there of unforgettable moments between Richard and Jamie Lee.
