I've plowed with her for 3 years now and never has it let me down. Also, i have towed a silverado 1500 up a hill to its cabin, while plowing the driveway. I think that can speak for itself.
As for the 4.3. They are torquey motors, but lack HP. 4.3 183 hp 4.0 210 hp (around those margins. and 240 for the 4.0, 252 for the 4.3. Hp wins the race.
