Cannabis Sativa,Cannabis Indica, Cannabis Ruderalis are fundemental plants, divided by their characteristics (tall/short/medium growth, time of flowering,period of flowering, etc...) There is no hemp as a fourth.

Cannabis sativa is the only plant in the world that you can tell which is male and female just by looking at them. The Male one is the hemp and the female one is what people are calling marijuana. The hemp can be used for over 50,000 inustrial products while the female plant can be used for medicine.

you are wrong about the male/female distinction for hemp and cannabis which is smoked...the female plants are just as vital, if not more than the males to provide industrial needs. If you had a field of females you could polinate with just one male and create a LOT of seed. Just like humans, females are vital for their precious seeds and delicate 'flowers' so to speek. the correct name is cannabis ruderalis, canabis sativa and cannabis indica will get you hi, male plant will get you hi, but you have to smoke more or make some kind of extract. it is NOT only plant in the world that you can tell which is male and female just by looking at them. male plants produce pollen and female pl. gather polen via pistiles. plants sex organs (male, female) are diferent and you could see the diference. pls dont post bullshit

Ladivadivala,You may want to do a bit more research ,The male cannabis plant is not hemp .Hemp is a totaly differnt plant .I know this because here in south Bend Indiana We we one of the largest producers of hemp during wwII . I grows wild everywhere here even today .And if you smoke the female hemp plant you will find that it contains physcotropic effects .Because it contains little to no Cannabinoids .

hemp would just be one of the many names used for the Cannabis Sativa plant. It is usually refering to low THC strains or strains that have been bread to maximize a certain part of the plant for industrial needs. Hemp, Marijuana, Cannabis...just different names for the same plant that happens to have varrying genetics. All the same tho...just some have different canabinoids and different levels of that one THC compound. Yet, all the other compounds play vital roles when it is used for medicine.

wow. talk about misinformation. there are three members to the Cannabis genus. Sativa, indica, and ruderalis. the latter is industrial hemp, and contains very low thc contents naturally. there are ruderalis/sativa and ruderalis/indica hybrids that produce thc and flower earlier than normal sativas or indicas, but the quality of the bud is significantly lower, due to ruderalis' low thc content.
