Great review. Have just purchased this headset based on your review. I'm coming from a steelseries Siberia v1 which I have used for the last 4 years extremely regularly. Thank you!
even though the sound card of the rampage 4 will probably be enough quality wize (even though good sound cards still give better quality) i had the feeling it wasnt powerfull enough so it might be an idea to put a amp in between.
Hi Dimitry in the vid. Does the PC 350 have much quality difference compared to 360? Because I want privacy and prefer closed but what about the comfort and quality? Which one is sturdier?
even though i dont have experience with the pc350 sennheiser has the pc350 and pc360 both as there top of the line gaming headsets with basicly the only difference being an open and closed headset
wich is why i found it a strange point in the video that he didnt like that its open cause then he should just have the pc 350 reviewed
@jamaicob Lol, are you stupid? He's using a Steelseries 6gv2, one of the best mechanical keyboards around. Mechanical is the only way to go for keyboards; just like analog audio is better than usb. If you've never used it, I suggest you find someone with one and give it a test run; you'd be surprised at how awesome it is.
Nice vid, I only mis 2 thinks on the headset, closed ear design and portable... pc350 (older version) give bouth of them... strange, but true, but even it's the 350 or 360, you will own with bouth, with this headset you can hear things other players cant hear in gaming. You can hear them reloading behind the wall, you can hear them walking form far away. I tested already many headsets, but i's totally worth the price. People who doubt about this, just buy it!
@Nielske905 i love play BattleField 3 , CSS, and I have the pc 350 but they are getting old .... and I am thinking about buying the PC 360, but I'm afraid of losing the sound quality, especially the bass they have especially when I'm listening to music... : /
awesome review! :D I was disappointed of how few reviews there was of this headset! I'm using a Xonar DX right now and hoping to get this headset for christmas :D
I'm looking for a headset with a REALLY good quality microphone. I'm prioritizing the microphone quality even over the sound quality of the headphones.
Anything in particular you would reccomend? The sound quality of the mic wasn't quite high enough for what I'd like.
@RichyBabess Hey man I actually bought these headphones a while ago after reading a few reviews (hardware heaven practically jizzed over these) and amongst my friends (all of which have very decent or dedicated microphones) they say I am as clear as my friend with the dedicated mic.
In terms of overall gaming/recording ability (excluding dedicated microphones) these should be at the top of your list.
Also he says they're almost 300 canadian but on amazon you can find them for 200-220 US
Good review so would i be better of staying with my HD650 ?? for gaming just that there getting a little old now had them 3 years .And was looking for some thing to replays them and of course cheaper .But was wondering if you had any idea on the sound quality compairing the HD650 to the PC350 .
@productfeedback Please dude can you tell me which is best ? Sennheiser PC 360 or Logitech 35 ?, please i want to buy one of them. Hoping for your answer soon! And does the Logitech use lots of CPU etc ? thank you!
Very impressed by this review. So many ridiculously amateur reviews of products, or reviews that are clearly being motivated by the freebies manufacturers are throwing at the reviewers. This came across as genuine, so much so that I have just ordered a pair from Amazon for 150euros. Thanks
I have owned Sennheiser 555s for a few years now, 4-6 years I think, and I'm still in love with them. I used to own the vanilla Fatal1ty Gaming Headset but I found it uncomfortable after a short time so usually just had them around my neck while using the HD 555's for the sound.
It really does look like these would be a good investment, Sennheiser really know what they are doing. Comfort, quality and good looks.
The only thing I have to pick on is the bulkyish mic, but that really is nothing.
@productfeedback I havn't been too impressed with Razer audio equipment, either. I've owned two razer headsets, a barracude which came with a broken mic, and a carcharias, which broke(cheap wires).
Side note, i've also owned two Logitech g35's. Both broke, due to flimsy plastic.
Great headset, No bass though and the sound leakage is actually really really bad. I use mumble for chat and I get constant complaints about hearing game audio through my mic even with lowering the sensitivity.
ESPECIALLY THE END!!!! You recommend what is needed, what other options, you recommend other quality Sennheiser headphones and having money left over for sound card.
great review subscribed, Would a 100$ Soundcard be good enough or should i go for 150$-200$ Would i get a notable increase and would these need an extra power supply.
@NickyDells57 This headphone looks quite big for my head (maybe the Chimera too). But: Wireless, 5.1 Channel Sound, Razer Design and Performance = Buy xD
@ruper31 Stereo! so two channels! although i found them to be quite good when i increased the number of channels to 8 when gaming, that improved my overall experience.
Being a kinda disappointed user of the Megalodon, I realized that I too need a proper sound card with my new PC. I'm getting sick of these USB onboard headsets, they tend to let me down =(
Good review BTW, and GEEZUS I hate how it's the accessories to your PC that's getting expensive, and not a good gaming PC in it self.
@custompcreview Not pleather, they are cloth, same material as on the Corsair HS1. Check out the first look video, there is more visuals there. and no, they are not removable!
The mic on PC 350 and 360 is one of the best mics ever. Other mics breaks because they have low build quality. I have PC 350 and I'm never gona change them for other low qualty headsett. I'm always on the run with my pc and headsett for lan parties or lans @ my friends. The headsett have'nt broke yet, don't care if it is in the bottom or on top in my bags. The build quality on PC 350 and PC 360 are so good. But want to challange u, do a sound test betwen PC 350 and 360 with Asus Xonar Xense.
@productfeedback Have only used Sennheiser PC350, tested PC360. The sound quality on both on them are so good that u need to buy Qpad if u need more sound. But if u use Asus Xonar Xense u will actualy hear diffrence on low price soundcards. Xense realy use the headset fully out and the sound is so sweet that u don't take them off. Can say so much that PC350/360 have beter Virtual Surround than Logitech, and logitech have their focus on Surround headsett.
Great review. Have just purchased this headset based on your review. I'm coming from a steelseries Siberia v1 which I have used for the last 4 years extremely regularly. Thank you!
