  • hungarian dance ftw!

  • Like this if you herd "Moderate rock" at the beginning.

  • @harlen333 I don't think it's possible to herd words. =/

  • @CrackedMarbles Maybe if you wrangle them up into paragraphs?

  • @BlitzWalrus17 Ha! Ohh, gosh this comment made me feel a bit better. xD

  • this is a song

  • 6 people can suck my dick

  • So I just figured out today that the main theme from this song is Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Johannes Brahms. Real classy, Streetlight Manifesto. Or should I say, real CLASSICAL.

  • thank you for caring about my country's art unlike most of who hears it...

  • @MisuOfArabonaClan So I guess you're Hungarian?

  • @flipwits2 uhm, yeah I'm AWARE that we never miss to mention it in any comment we make on the net :DDD sorry

  • @flipwits2 de ha te is az vagy akkor ne szopass :D

  • It's the shit from 00:00 to 04:19.

    Correct, in its entirety

  • Moderate Rock.

  • @TheKurdtKobain Radio Friendly...

  • the build-up just adds to whole effect of this song. its awesome as a whole.

  • the song would be awesome if they left out the part before 1:26

  • @WolverineAndSloth It's awesome regardless, I mean, the build up to 1:26 is just phenominal.

  • @WolverineAndSloth dude gtfo, that horn part at 1:00 is just amazing

  • @WolverineAndSloth Lol, it's still amazing. You can't really criticize Streetlight, they're the shit. :')

  • ska pirate 4 life

  • live is amazing :D

  • seeing them tonight in Denver with Reel Big Fish super stoked

  • Moderate rock... xD

  • saw them 2 nights ago, these guys are a musical prodigy

  • 6 people didn't rise =D....=/...fuck you guys

  • F!@#$N BUFFER!!

  • having the worst morning, and I ask myself, "How can things get worse?". Then this song comes on and I think to myself, "It can't."

  • @szep18 is that good or bad....

  • @szep18 Obviously good. If it was bad, then my day could have been that much worse.

  • "Falling fallen we all fall down

It only really matters how we stand our ground

and if and when we rise to our feet again

    we'll be on our own"

    God damn I love that

  • 3:20 and onwards... WOW

    :O

  • @detritusvibes yes please ;D

  • @detritusvibes youre annoying.

  • fuck yea ska erryday

  • anybody notice the "moderate rock" clip at the beginning? homage to nirvana's 'Tourettes' track. <3

  • @detritusvibes You're an emo picture.

  • i'm 12 and what is this?

  • @hippmyster

    this is baby making music

  • @hippmyster the number 12 looks like u lmao

  • @detritusvibes nah still 18 im turnin 19 this month

  • this band kept me sane during my highschool years. i hated bein a bum surrounded by a bunch of fuckin overachievers. streetlight fuckin kept me goin and taught me to do my own thing and to be what i wanted to be instead of whatever the fuck society expected me to be.

  • Best intro ever.

  • @animegirljrs thanks, i just realized how much i enjoy the intro to this lol

  • I wish EVERY comment wasn't about it having hungarian dance no.5 in it.

  • @neeeee5eeeee i c wat u did thar.

  • Hungarian Dance fits so well with this. SO FUCKING GOOD.

  • @JayBoy277 there are many bands that you can argue whether or not they are good. most ska for that matter. not streetlight..they are fucking amazing.

  • @eduarkoss he says moderate rock in the beginning of the song

  • @tlptank Yeah... It's a reference to Nirvana's song "Tourette's" where Kurt says the same thing at the beginning.

  • The Hungarian Dance No. 5 in this was great, just sayin.

  • @RisenFromTheAshes0 AGREED MATE! AGREED!

  • moderate rock

  • @tlptank its called "ska"

  • @eduarkoss nah... its called streetlight "fukin" manifesto!!!

  • @eduarkoss Ska-punk.

  • 2:35-2:40 is the best part

  • 3 people will not rise with us...

  • 3 people like color-coded quotes.

  • 3 people don't know real music

  • I love how Streetlight puts their songs together! Intro has the same chord progression as "They Provide the Paint", the whoaaaaaaaa part in the verse is from "A Call to Arms" and they put in the Hungarian Dance No. 5, ALL INTO ONE SONG!

  • @ash0ppingcart thats cause their pro

  • what does he say at the begining it sounds like "water it lock"?

  • @naynay457 he says "moderate rock"

  • @naynay457 He says Moderate Rock. Lol, but good guess

  • @skater4life29237 since skinhead were never nazi's and your thinking about boneheads(< nazi). skinheads evolved from mods and they listern to northen soul music ska and the like

  • @skater4life29237 Read some more and you'll realize that skinheads were not always racist, and some still aren't to this day. In fact many early skinheads were Jamaican immigrants, and that's the reason why even some racist skinheads will listen to modern ska bands. The second generation of ska, in fact, was brewed up in the UK by these so-called skinheads collaborating with their Jamaican counterparts.

  • Hungarian Dance No. 5 and streetlight, you know the 99 songs of revolution, are they being released in volumes?

  • @leyshonzi Supposedly they are. Each volume will have 11 songs. Streetlight and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution will each have 2 albums and there will be 2 albums each from 2 other Streetlight-related bands. I don't know what they're gonna do about the last 11 songs.

  • been loving this fer the past 5 years of my life the shows are amazing the music is orgasmic. dear lord!

  • I'm jamaican so fook y'all!

  • @VALObrand and that's relevent, how?

  • HUNGARIAN DANCE NO. 5. took me forever to realize where ive heard that tune before.

  • EPIC

  • can someone help me?!?! i dont understand the 1st 2nd 3rd and apparently 4th wave of ska!!! what does that mean?!?!? cant it just be called ska??? that would make my life sooo much easier!!

  • @DoMineEyesDeceiveMe technically it is "ska"..call it whatever you want really...it is like punk...there is grindcore thrash, crust, emo, ect...the origional ska was from the 50's and it turned into reggae, 2 tone came in the 80's with bands like madness and the specials, and 3rd wave came in mid to late 90's and is kinda ska/rock like sublime, no doubt, planet smashers, citizen fish ect... "4th wave" isnt really a genre yet, it is just what people call bands who are taking ska into new areas

  • @thecrass79 thanks!!! i was sooo confused

  • @thecrass79 madness came in late 70's but ii wont tell :P but well done for a proper knowledge of ska!

  • whats the difference between 1st 2nd 3rd? in kinda new to all this besides that i never really cared as long as it sounds good..

  • fuck,i love all the SM intro

  • They're fourth wave ska. That;s why they made that song "Riding the Fourth Wave."

  • Comment removed

  • @Hunzubunz dude catch 22 did it first and streetlight covered it

  • @tito720 streetlight did not cover catch songs. Tom re-released his song with Streetlight

  • @Vity3 well jamie egan wrote that song not tomas cuz tomas can't write hornlines

  • @tito720 mhmm It's Thomas Kalnokys song, and by the way THEY KICKED ASS AT WARPED TOUR! best band their imo with Reelbigfish as a close second "All of our music is available for free online!!! It's not exactly legal.... But you have our blessing" Thomas Kalnolky

  • @Morrik07 i don't like reel big fish and i don't like the warped tour. btw do u know what we were talking about

  • @tito720 I do know what you were talking about, Tomas's rights to the songs he made with Catch 22, your opinions on RBF and Warped Tour don't really matter to me. I'm not completely sure but there may be some songs he doesn't own, but if that is the case. Ohwell it's ancient history and theres no point talking about it when they've moved on to new (and arguably better) albums.

  • 1:23 - 1:29 is sick

  • this is one of the songs id usually skip on my ipod cuz the intros quiet and takes a while to get into the song...but now that i really listen to it, this songs fuckin dope

  • fuck "moderate rock"

im sticking to "butter a clock"

  • The Intro pumps me up!

  • what time is the "moderate rock" bit at?

  • in like the first 3 seconds

  • @tito720 heard it, thanks :D

  • Hungarian Dance No. 5 :D nice

  • Heh. Hungarian Numoro 5. Awesome!

  • WoW?Great..awsome..

  • Hungarian Dance No. 5 is my favorite classical song, combined with my favorite genre makes me rediculous happy.

  • 3:21 - best part of the song imo.

  • this is awsome

  • This picture is pretty

  • "Moderate Rock"

  • wow good catch

  • Its a reference to Nirvana's song Tourettes

  • Yes. Yes it is.

  • EPIC!

  • i love how they put the Hungarian Dance No. 5 in this song. it sounds so awesome

  • it kinda reminds me of Ukrainian folk music.

  • @Lxan96dr

ur guess wsn't so bad. its hungarian (:

btw. not rly hungarian, just called the hungarian dance no.5 written by brahms ;)

  • @rakiboy in fact this is Czardas by vittorio monti

  • which part is that song referenced? at what time time?

  • 3:21

  • Nice :)

  • Dude. I want that ringtone. So. Effing. Bad.

    :)

  • I love the guitar at 1:23-1:28

  • i don't quite get it

  • luv the ending

  • lmao i heard it!!!!!!!!

  • Lol i thought he said Moderate Rock, now im not so sure...

  • yes im like 90+ sure i have a huge system and i cranked it and repeated it a bunch to try n make sure.

    /Nivana referance? tourettes?

  • yeah im pretty sure it says moderate rock, nirvana? lol

butter a clock would be much funnier though hahaha

  • Is there a tuba playing after the JS line?

  • Comment removed

  • haha thats sick! they put Johannes Brahms in there!

  • XD yes it is XD

  • this song sounds very simmular to would you be impressed.....well it should be the other way around, but i like would you be impressed way better...this is the only sm song i dont like, besides the keasbey nights remake... you just cant beat the original

  • 5*

    XD

  • Is that a tuba at 3:50?!

  • yes i believe that is

  • I love this song!!!

    5/5

  • Chris Thatcher, Amazing Drummer, Enough said

  • well put, hes really quick and clean

  • Paul Lowndes did the track for this cd.

  • this isnt chris thatcher, none of the everything went numb record is... its paul lowders or something like that.. and hes much better than chris. but the rest of the band from somewhere in the between is way better than the band from everything went numb.....tomas kalnoky is the only original member..and the keasbey nights remake has a mixture of both members...but im pretty sure chris is in it

  • Correct me if im wrong, but im also pretty sure Jim Conti is an original member. The original lineup consisted of 3 catch guys and 3 one cool guy guys, and Conti was from one cool guy. But again, i might be wrong. But ya, the current line up is amazing

  • well your right and wrong... jim came in the band sooner then any other new member.. im pretty sure he did most of the tour after everything goes numb, but its not him on the cd recording. so ya glad i can help.

  • I'm pretty sure the song part 3:25 - 3:45 came on TV but whats the name? BTW I love streetlight manifesto 5* :D

  • That part is Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms. I played it as a sax solo for a competition, hahahahaha.

  • Hungarian Dance no. 5

  • i would love to smoke out the entire streetlight gang.

everyone who is and ever was in streetlight

  • streetlight kicks ass

  • guys chill it's all music, just enjoy the music man

  • right man :)

  • It's the internet, people have nothing better to do than bitch over a technicality.

  • wow i cant believe i just read that entire argument..... its music and its ska get over your stupid tecnicalities and skank to the fucking insane music curtesey (ik i cant spell and im too lazy to look it up) of the amazing streetlight manifesto

  • HAHHAHAHAHAHAHA holy fucking balls! i just wanted to listen to some streetlight and i got bitchy agruments that were like each a page long.... wow guys...wow

  • Who's side are you on? I really can't decide. I'm going to have to choose dragonskankin because he's more my style of arguing on the interwebs.

  • Why are people arguing over music? Just enjoy the sound

  • Wave shmave :P

    Genre's are unneccesary ;D

  • @evanisb0ss dito :3

  • @evanisb0ss Neither, apparently, is grammar.

  • @KH2vorpalblade The point remains.

  • the music itself is more driving jazz

  • That's what ska is, really. Just jazz with some reggae undertones. Third wave is much more upbeat that 1st and 2nd.

  • really dude ik what ska is thx tho...and they are qute different listen to RBF or MMB they are totally different styles, the horns are more prominent and varied...and the guitar doesnt really use the skank that much...more liek straight jazz+ classical.

  • your right tubz, dont bother trying to argue with american high school kids the dumb idiots are ignorant of where it comes from, if you played them boogie stop shuffle by charles mingus and everything went numb back to back the kids would get it but without being able to easily present that knowledge the kids will just slam you they critique what they dont understand, its a shame really and this is coming from a huge ska fan its just that after taking up tenor sax i gained a respect for JAZZ too

  • they refer to themselves as 4th wave hence riding the fourth wave

  • streetlight is third wave ska.

  • I would even shy away from calling them third wave... only because if you compare them to other third wave bands, they're still very different... league of their own :P

  • eh, good point - they're better!@ d:

  • @ilikeBCLC the'yre more like 3 1/2 wave

  • @ilikeBCLC 4th wave ska is here my friend

  • You're totally correct. Stylistically they're third wave. But they're 100 times better than any other third wave band, so they stand out. Alot

  • Drop the pretentious tone of your arguments and it's far more likely that people will listen to them. That being said, I believe it's clear that when I said that they were better than other bands that was an opinion. I did not say it was a fact, I did not cite sources, ect. Don't know how you read it like that. And, yeah, I'm still gonna classify them as third wave because they sound a hell of a lot like many of the bands that came out of ska revival in the 90's. Even you can agree to that.

  • How could i not? you said-they're 100 times better than any other third wave band- those are your exact words, you did not say that it was your opinion you presented it as a fact. I had to correct your mistake, your the one with the pretentious tone pushing your opinions on others as if it was the truth and at least i was polite enough to apologize for my tone in advance, your the one trying to create drama by insulting me in your first sentence, what could be more pretentious than that?

  • Ok. I guess I'll have start putting (opinion) next to everything I say, lest someone read it and get offended by it. Most human beings could clearly tell I was stating an opinon, not settled fact. Anyway, stop trolling around the videos of bands that you don't like and looking for people to correct. Annoying doesn't begin to cover it.

  • Annoying does not even begin to cover your complete idiocy, it s
