@partyoffive12345 I live in Kraków I am 11 years old and go to rythmic gymnastics but not the u know that u go to camps competitions and all of that The teacher say Im too old! Where do u live?
I miss this stuff...want to get back into it... but now it requires a personal trainer and I am not a child nor want to compete... just for love of it I want to get better!
@Yavie I feel you! I trained from ages 3 to 17 and then stopped for a few years due to knee injury. Lost most of my muscle but the moves and flexibility are still there, but there is nowhere for girls to train, unlike ballet lessons or any dance lessons, which u can take at an amateur level up to basically any age :(
@MNeey Yeah. I feel you there. I am trying to find a gymnastics cener that will at least let me come in and work out with a class.. hell they should see it as free money... not like I will ever be a competitor. But I honestly feel this is why the obesity problem is what it is in America. Besides poor nutrition there are no fun ways to get and stay in shape. Swimming teams for adults start at the 55+ and other than that there is roller derby and soccer.
@Yavie that honestly sucks. since my knees wont really allow me to do much, ive settled for ballet/lyrical dance instead. at least that enables me to stretch twice a week. the flex training i do it by myself, but i still miss the clubs, the ribbon... to think of how often ive cursed them!! lol
@MNeey maybe we can talk... I need the flex training, you may be able to help me. Next month I am getting a portable barre to start serious work on getting back in shape. But gymnastics and a good diet will slim and tone anyone quickly..
@Yavie i normally dedicate about 40-50 min a day. i mostly do some basic warmup (ballet one) and flex (5min splits, 5min open splits with flexed knees and such) but ive got one of those rubber bands that u tie to both ankles that help you build leg muscle when u raise ur legs and thats helped me get in better shape :)
thanks for the reply!!! i started rhythmic gymnastics last week wednesday and thursday. i love it!!! im am now almost 13,im turning may 2012 thirteen and i started rhythmic gymnastics. i hope to become as good as you!!
this has become one of my favorite videos! i have watched it a lot of times now. i am pretty flexible right now but since i stopped doing ballet i have started losing it but this just inspired me to start stretching more....a lot more. hehehe. :D
@tianna8185...I did! I started at age thirteen, and now I'm twenty-six and still going strong. Flexibility was always hardest for me, but if you work at it, then you'll be amazed at what you can accomplish. Most of the girls and young women that I know who also do rhythmic gymnastics began it in their teens. Go for it!
@Imoliviabrown they actually dont, IF you are NOT naturally flexible they I swear you just CANT do rhythmic gymnastics, please believe, AND i am really note trying to be offensive to the beautiful sport or anything
@Knautschewolke Thanks so much! :) And yes it is painful, more so to begin with. But as you become more experienced, in stretching for example, it hurts less! :D

@Imoliviabrown to a certian exctent. It is much harder when you start older and you have to be a lot more carefull to not get injured.
