  • Is she seriously suggesting that deciding to have an abortion is morally equivalent to deciding to have a boner?

  • I liked when the dumbass asked what a rectal exam has to do with erectile disfunction. People can be silly at time.

  • What is with all these random amendments?

  • as much as the idea of this amendment passing makes me giggle...i really don't see how it balances out the ultrasound thing. it reminds me of that episode of friends where joey wore all of chandler's clothes at once because he wanted to get back at chandler for hiding his clothes, lol. doesn't make too much sense. also, proposing an amendment just to make a point seems wrong somehow.

  • so...they not only want to force a woman to GET an ultrasound, they want to force her to look at it too. that's so unnecessary and possibly cruel.

  • Voice-voting should not be allowed. If you don't want that vote on your record, don't vote that way.

  • What's funny is...you know damn good and well that every republican uses viagra.

  • The Senate gives me a rectal exam every paycheck I get. It's called high taxes.

  • @Philb5000 LOL

  • #winn

  • Only thing better than a rectal exam is six inches in Virginia.

  • would be epic if a female doctor said LET ME SEE YOUR RECTUM! id laugh!

  • A voice vote...? Are you fucking kidding me? We elect these people into office so they will supposedly vote for the policies we want and feel strongly for, and base our votes COMPLETELY off of their actions in office, one of which is THEIR VOTES ON POLICY. WHY in the world would there be an option to hide your vote from your constituency unless you're a fucking douche? This is honestly sickening, and to quote someone else on here "If you won't claim the vote, don't cast the vote". Fucking stupid

  • I agree with abortion, yet I don't think it's always ethical. There have been occasions in which women have had a abortion and it was late on, the baby lived. In this case it is murder, which is clearly wrong. Even in the case of the mother being raped I don't think it's ethical for a foetus to be aborted so late on that they may live, killing the baby won't help the mother get over the rape anyway. hashlla, you are a moron, hostility from a person's mind can be a lot worse than that of a place.

  • @titilandus21 I agree completely with you, there are major differences then getting pregnant and through human rights being able to have a few cells removed from your body. This process literally happens every month for women, and every time a man ejaculates and people say they care about the cells because the two happened to come together. If you don't do it early though that means you are wholeheartedly irresponsible, and sick to kill a developed child. The issue is grey.

  • I think that it's a good idea to have to have someone look at the ultrasound if you want an abortion. it's not that uncomfortable and it lets the doctor and patient make a more sound decision on whether an abortion is ethically right. I don't think a rectal exam makes any sense. It has nothing to do with sexism, it's completely over the top.

  • but men still don't have the right to have a financial abortion

  • The VA state government has a GOP majority now thanks to "Obama is a Marxist" rhetoric. The war against women can continue.

  • an enlarged prostate can cause erectile dysfunction

  • @4mutinyofpreverts2 That's really an important point to be made here, but it seems though that the democrat who submitted the amendment was doing it as a slap in the face to the anti-abortion (anti-women's rights) bill. You've honestly changed my mind though and I've done more research and although I'm not a fan of it being REQUIRED, but if your doctor thinks its the problem, he needs to have the right to check, or not prescribe you the drugs. People sell these drugs like any other...

  • capitol(.)state(.)tx(.)us(/)tlodocs(/)82R(/)billtext(/)html(/)HB00015F(.)htm

  • This is the wrong way to go about equality. It is a very vicious way based on embarrassing men, many who are pro equal rights and pro choice. People need to focus on eliminating the unfairness towards women, rather than balancing it out by being unfair to men. This is what the Right love, when they see this aggressive approach they can label all lefts "aggressive feminists". Let's not support this.

  • Rectal exam could actually help screening prostate cancer.

  • Ultrasound= Invasive procedure, cmon Cenk, really?... Rectal exam, hey i support it, you guys are not thinking outside the box, imagine the undetected prostate cancer cases that could be prevented just because of a simple physical examination. Also, if abortion is going to be legal, should MDs be permitted to evaluate their patients before the procedure? Well,of course they do. Don't go pretending to be naive.

  • @AllSentientFreeman at that point in pregnancy an ultrasound is performed intravaginally. How more invasive can you get that having a large hard plastic probe shoved up your vagina? An u/s is not necessary to swallow a pill that induces abortion. Not to mention it can add up to $500 onto the bill.

  • anas feminism is a major boner kill

  • The whole rape case thing wouldn't bother the fundies. in their little dream world that kid is put there for a reason. I say go with this. If you wish no more babies to be aborted you have to sign up to a list. every now and again a new born baby will arrive at your door. Some may be addicted to heroin from birth but that all part of god's plan. That is your compromise. everyone wins. If you end up with 10 or more.....tough.

  • @rsolgtp but this is the same "hard case" you can use for any argument. are you against torture? well what if it was adolf hitler and we HAD to torture him or a nuclear bomb would go off in the middle of a daycare center? you're against the death penalty? well what if you're stuck on an island with Jeffrey Dahmer? most abortions aren't from rape or incest. and you're no less human in those cases either.

  • @XSC3 once again if you care so much about these kids, thats the deal. you want them you take them. put your money where your mouth is. Im not against the death penalty. But for murder its not tough enough... death is an easy route out as punishment. torture is pointless. forget the humanity for a second. IT DOESN'T WORK. back to abortion...as i state its not about rape or incest. its about a woman and her body, you want her baby? then pay its f@cking rent.

  • @rsolgtp the "Crack baby" scare was mistaken, we know that now. but still, aren't you arguing that people are better off dead than disadvantaged? better off dead than poor? here and I thought republicans were evil for wanting to kill welfare and not care about the poor. perhaps you have more in common with them than you thought? The point is to give everyone a chance. you can't make everyone's life equal, so you'll cut off some?

  • @XSC3 yes i am advocating that death can be better than life. all you have to do is look at the suicide rates to understand that others hold that view. the numbers of suicide grow. You think that life is sacred but dont care what happens to that life once you have blessed the world with it. birth is not special. If it were it wouldn't happen so often. your ideas are handed to you by propagandists. You will vote someone in that would ruin you but opposes abortion.

  • can u imagine how akward it would be to be in the ultra sound room of a rape victim. Instead of the ooo's and ahhh's there like well there it is.

  • @ProLikeJesus3 yeah, because as we know, when you're raped, your child is actually a demonic alien, not a real baby. or something?

the late Eartha Kitt was the child of rape. she didn't turn out bad or anything.

  • @XSC3 of course. and as the mom didn't get a say if she gets impregnated, why give her a say on the birth? yes? cuz lets be honest...women just don't know do they?

  • two great thumbs up comments for once

  • A rectal exam is so mach faster, easier and less invasive then any internal exam a woman need to go threw.. If birth control is denied to women I think all meds like Viagra should be denied to men. Last.. any and all votes by any politician in any branch of government should have their name on it. If you won't claim the vote then don't cast the vote.

  • @cheskydivision If a woman wants to get an abortion i think they should shove a giant dildo up her butt as well

  • @KiriStarcraft thats right. lets torture her!! if you grow weary of this time period as obviously you are.... perhaps look to the times of the Spanish inquisition. there were still abortions but most of the women died at least..... perhaps thats what you could do. lets legislate to make abortions SO dangerous that it will just put them off that way. you americans really love to push your freedom over everyone else dont you......

  • Comment removed

  • @rsolgtp Wow you're a fuckin retard..... Do you even understand what i was referring to...? rofl

  • @KiriStarcraft do you? you could of spent some time explaining yourself.

  • @cheskydivision hey i dig the comment but there are 13 year olds with rectile dysfunctions so you want people touching your kid?

  • @chamblizi Actually if I had a child with a health issue and that was the kind of exam he needs to have to be diagnosed then yes. In my comment before I was making the point that men are nervous about an exam that is far far simpler and less painful and embarrassing then anything a woman has to go thru.

  • @cheskydivision men are nerves ha! bs! for the record Tyler The Creator Says and i qoute: "My Only Problem Is Death" other then that nothing scares me........ O_O except things that move fast inside of a dirt whole.........snakes........ and being bit by a giant spider. other then that I AM NOT SCARED OF NO EXAME and here we go with the WOMEN WOMEN WOMEN such sensitive creatures who do not give a fuck about men.

  • 1:34 "...if you're in a really tight spot..." some dude laughs in the background XD

  • This is only 1000% awesome.

  • Senator Janet Howell for president in 2012.

  • Rape

  • Ana is smart sexy in this one.

  • These amendments keep passing because the crazies are willing to get their way at all costs.

  • Why is it we all get the shit all the politicians threw at us?

  • I hate the way the Abortion debate is slipping into 'battle against misogyny'. It's poisonous.

  • Im so GLAD I voted for her as my Rep...

  • Someone please me tell I'm not drunk or high when I read those subtitles.....

  • Even with the rectal exam amendment, they still had 19 elected officials vote for it. Amazing. These are the same Republican hypocrites that rant about smaller government.

  • @kupigana even those in favor of small government admit that at a minimum the government has the responsibility for the common defense, which I think would include protecting babies from being arbitrarily killed.

  • @XSC3 If the government can force women to have unnecessary invasive medical procedures on women, why shouldn't the same government force men to have unnecessary, invasive medical procedures on men. Why should men not want their government to force them to get rectal exams? That obviously doesn't go against ideas of those in favor of small government.

Even people like XSC3 want to take away the right to choose from all American women. Tactics like these are their weapons.

  • Why the hell are voice votes even permissible when passing a bill?

  • @CappitranoBellephant ~ excellent question, how can someone vote for something and it not be on record. it should be unconstitutional. it's a fucking secret vote!

these righties claim to be everything they aren't. patriotic, constitutionalists, pro-life, pro personal freedom, smaller gov't... it's all a big lie, these people are born again nazi's.

  • We need all these babies to come to full term and live so that in 18 years we can put a gun in their hands and send them to die.

  • @Utmoon great logic there. hey, as long as a chickenhawk democrat votes for it, then it's okay?

  • @XSC3 Try to make sense when you comment, please.

  • Do you just don't get it? I'm so glad I was able to have a safe and legal abortion (at 25yrs old) so that i could have 2 heslthy children when i could be a good mother. My daughter is 25 now and I want her to have the same choices. Illegal abortions were killing and mutilating women. That's why Roe v. Wade was decided. The laws and Supreme Court decisions are supposed to be for ALL Americans. Not a certain religious belief. If you're against abortion, don't have one!

  • @BoredReaper777 top comment. probably from one of the only people here with any experience in the matter.

  • Comment removed

  • It's like the cigarette picture case. If you are going to put pictures of blackened lungs on cigarette packs, then you need pictures of obese people on McDonalds packs

  • @NerfTheBrightWizards That is actually not a bad thought. I would be totally ok with a picture and a warning of "If you eat this X times a week, you may end up looking like this."

  • @Utmoon perhaps we could show you a picture of dead iraqis every time you fill up at the gas station:)

  • @rsolgtp OOooooooooh! I like where we are going with this.

  • @rsolgtp After seeing some of the other comments here, I have another one to add. Everyone has to look at a picture of themselves looking like a complete moron before they can click the 'Post' button, captioned "Posting this comment may cause people to view you like this."

  • @NerfTheBrightWizards id love to see the wage slaves and hacked limbs on the diamond ring case:)

  • VA tryin' to be like Oklahoma!!! This state doesn't want medical insurance forced on people, but it's ok for medical procedured to be forced.

  • ... but I thought conservatives didnt want the government to go anywhere???

  • Only in America can you be Pro-Death-Penalty, Pro-War, Pro-Unmanned Drone Bombs, Pro-Nuclear Weapons, Pro-Guns, Pro-Torture, Pro-Land Mines, AND still call yourself 'Pro-Life'.

    – John Fugelsang

  • @BjoernarEricSven well said!!!!

  • Most fertilized eggs do not implant, and many that implant, spontaneously abort, which means, for the religious among you, that God does not intend all fertilized eggs to become humans. Taking this further, it means nature...or God...is the biggest proponent & administrator of abortions. This is not about Pro-Life, it's about Anti-Choice from those who yell "let him die" at political debates. If they cared about a child, they would pay medical, food, housing,&clothing for mom & child for life.

  • "Shut up, you had you finger in my ass." -Peter Griffin

  • you know lots of men get prostate cancer but who would never get an exam in the first place sooo.......

  • Looking at a baby youre about to let a doctor kill should make a person uncomfortable. Unless you are a serial killer who likes to look into the eyes of his victim, this should make anyone uncomfortable. Abortion in general should make people squirm. Its disgusting!

  • @uramoron2006 its an ultra-sound. the blob on the screen hasn't got any eyes. if you are so concerned, place your address here so people can send you their unwanted children. enjoy.

  • @rsolgtp thats the problem with you people. All you see is an ultrasound. You see the black and white. You dont see the bigger picture. Even after science has plastered the inside, behind the womb walls photos and facts right in front of you. Ill pray for you all that someday, your eyes will be opened and you will see past a screen. How about you go attend an abortion so you can count the body pieces of that 'blob' after. Enjoy.

  • @rsolgtp that's stupid logic. I might as well argue if you're pro-choice, then YOU should be performing the abortions yourself. you're a blob on my screen, btw. ;)

  • The reason for the rectal exam is that a prostate problem can cause problems with a man's ability to get wood.

  • Yeah that makes me empathies with women's rights..not..oh noes got to get an ultrasound before you flush your kid down a toilet

  • Need more female senators.

  • If we're all for equality how about we straighten out divorce law?

  • 6 out of 7 women, and 19 out of 21 votes??? I bet that other woman is really feeling shitty about letting her gender down!!!

  • @jamesjedd No she wasn't it was a republican woman who voted it down.

  • @Akatsukichic yes. they dont have a gender. just an agenda.

  • Equity =/= Equality.

    My pedantry is revealing...

  • I am a nurse and just to clairfy the ultrasound they are speaking of would be a vaginal ultrasound(a wand would be inserted into the woman's vagina). The transabdominal ultrasounds are not used until the 4th month of pregnancy b/c they can't clearly see the baby until then. And since the abortion would have to legally take place before then it would have to be the vaginal ultrasound, which is invasive.

  • @moderndeistmomma ive had two ultrasounds at 6 and 8 weeks and had clear pictures of both. transvaginal ultrasounds are only occaionally needed, and are discussed with patients at the time.

  • I'm guessing it was voted on as a symbolic gesture so they purposely made sure it came out to 19 to 21 rather than actually passing.

  • Hahaha... dem. women" you wanna make women have a ultrasound for a abortion? Fine, guys have to get fucked in the ass to get Viagra" hahahaha I love it

  • do you know whats actually amazing? the fact that abortion is still debated and is still a big deal in america...

  • Comment removed

  • Rectum? Damn near killed 'em!

  • but... my boner pills :(

  • Comment removed

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • Come on, Ana, you act like YOU'VE ever carried a baby. You have as much experience in carrying a baby as a man. What about Michelle Bachmann? She has the same views as Rick Santorum about abortion (no exceptions), but you just dismiss her as crazy. Anything to advance your agenda...

  • @pgorney Ironic comment considering that the people passing these laws are predominantly male. Maybe you're right, only female legislators, who have been pregnant, should be allowed to vote on laws relating to female reproductive health.

  • @Tessasdadd0 I'm not even pro-life, I just hate hypocrites =X

  • @pgorney Okay, but I don't quite see how Ana, not ever carrying a baby, is being a hypocrite by voicing an opinion.

  • @Tessasdadd0 It's because she specifically says, about Santorum "Who are you? You have a PENIS, you don't know what it's like to carry a baby for 9 months!" When she has never carried a baby, either. Michelle Bachmann has carried many babies, and she STILL has the same view as Santorum. Ana just dismisses Bachmann as a religious zealot. Anyone who has different views than Ana is automatically dismissed.

  • @pgorney I don't think she said that here, right? I'd have to know the complete context to say whether or not she's actually being hypocritical, but I do get your point. I'm not sure why you made the comment here, but hey, it's all good.

  • Comment removed

  • @pgorney BTW, is that you in the dunk video? If it is, you've got some hops, son :)

  • @Tessasdadd0 Haha yeah, it was a long time ago. I can't get quite up there as much. BTW, she says what I quoted starting at 2:40.

  • @pgorney Hey, at least you have the proof so when you're weighing 250#, taking up space on the couch, you can show your grandkids.

The reason I'm falling on the side of not being hypocritical is that she isn't saying that she knows how it is. She's only calling out Santorum because he's determined to dictate the laws governing pregnancy and abortion, but will never carry a child. A subtle difference.

Actually, I think that men have a voice in this discussion, if it's their child.

  • @pgorney That's an excellent point. Whilst I do generally agree with the pro-choice arguments, Ana is clearly hypocritical here.

  • Prostate exam makes sense. Men can have ED from problems with their prostate. Seems perfectly reasonable (although completely unnecessary)

  • @TheMidwestAtheist Right on.

  • How do you make someone look at something? Are they going to pin your eyes open a la a clockwork orange?

  • @skeletorphd

Ur a fuckin idiot. Why dont u go get a doctor, rub gel all over ur stomach, get some weird machine and rub that all over u and tell me that's not invasive. Go kill yourself u fuckin looser

  • A) An ultrasound is not invasive.

    B) You're a fucking representative of the people! It is TOTALLY unprofessional and unethical to play tit for tat like that in government.

This is exactly why women don't belong in positions of power, especially in government. Our own Harriet Harlot, I mean Harman, and many others do the same thing, pushing everything into the wimmins agenda and makes everything a wimmins issue.

    It's a bloody disgrace.

  • @skeletorphd Looks like those apes over in the UK are more sexist than Americans.

  • Ya know, I would bitch about Ana's goddamn irritating as fuck, motherfucking tone here, but meh.

  • the camera man needs to film ana closer and from a new angle.

  • @bewilderedkettle Feminism is the pursuit of gender equality; white supremacy is the belief that white people are genetically and culturally superior to other races. It's a false equivalence. More perplexing is your propensity for profanity and why it is here directed at those seeking gender equality. Are you really so insecure in your own convictions that you feel it necessary to berate others?

  • @theyarecomingforyou Feminism is the bitter pursuit of female superiority; white supremacy is the belief that white-skinned people are being pushed aside in an attempt to help other races gain equality. I don't believe what I've just said about white supremacy is true, I only said it to prove a point - putting forward an opinion in the form of a definition is preposterous.

  • @bewilderedkettle I didn't put forward an "opinion"; I put forward the accepted dictionary definitions of the two terms. In response you made-up two alternative definitions and put forward yet another false equivalence. Please go and look up the term "false equivalence", as you clearly do not understand what it means. Also, if you're going to dispute dictionary terminology I would suggest actually consulting a dictionary first before embarrassing yourself in public. You were factually wrong.

  • YEA!!!!!!!!! LETS KILL BABIES

and compare it to prescription for erectile dysfunction medication

    girl power!

  • @JODYJOE Have you not been paying attention to politics? This isn't about abortion; this is about controlling women's reproductive rights. Oh, and fetuses are NOT babies, so your argument is a straw man and an appeal to emotions, both logical fallacies.

Beside, if men are actually getting Viagra for erectile dysfunction, then doesn't it make sense to get a rectal exam?

  • hey its not the SAME if i want viagra ok show me a freakin ultrasound of my PENUS not a rectal exam come the fuck on

  • That's great that she wants gender equality! so how about we get the same level of funding and awareness efforts for prostate cancer as that of Breast cancer?

after all prostate cancer affects 240,000 men every year, 10000 more than breast cancer afflicts women. yet only barely gets half the funding and virtually no awareness campaigns.

im all for pro-choice and equality for everyone, but id bet every penny i have that she doesn't give a damn about when men a treated unfairly.

  • Janet Howell: Full of epic win.

  • brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 100% awesome!!!!!!

  • I LOVE that she did this.

  • I had a rectal exam the other day, it was no big deal. All guys over age 50 should get them.

  • @audadvnc But you get them every week just to have a young male doctor finger your sphincter ya faggot. I love gay people but that is just too much info for YT. Tell your mom, not anyone else, ya jerkoff. ;)

  • limited government republicans in favor of governmental bodily invasion for the purpose of mental manipulation based on religious reasons.

    .

    go figure.

  • To be fair, forcing men to have a rectal examination to be prescribed viagra would just see a rise in the illegal distribution of the drug, which opens up a whole load of issues in itself (taxation, quality control of the product etc). The real underlining issue here is how men have a say in what is effectively an exclusive right to women only.

    Pro-Abortion, Anti-Christ...(i'm really pro-choice).

  • It's odd how fetuses, look a lot like tumors on an ultrasound.

  • One may not agree with the ultrasound bill, however to call it invasive is just plain wrong, and to equate it to a rectal exam is ludicrous.

  • @SrRulao You clearly have no idea what kind of ultrasound the bill is talking about. An item is INSERTED into the vagina to perform the ultrasound.

So now imagine that a woman has been raped and got pregnant... now she has to be forced to be penetrated again against her will just to get an abortion. This is beyond vile and evil.

  • @Otokogoroshi

    Evile?

  • @Otokogoroshi Not to be rude, but I was there for both of my wife’s ultrasounds. Nothing went into her vagina. Perhaps you were thinking of a different procedure?

  • @DerekYM33 There are different kinds of ultrasounds, when the fetus is too hard to see on a normal ultrasound (which it would be if it were going to be aborted) then they have to do the ultrasound that goes up inside. From what I understand its also called an ultrasound, but I could be wrong.

  • @Otokogoroshi Yeah fucking oath mate, thats fucked. Hope that shit doesn't get through.

  • @Otokogoroshi do you know what an abortion implies?! it s much more than penetration.

    does ana have babies apropos?

  • @Otokogoroshi Look I admit I haven't read the bill, but, then it's up to those who oppose this bill to specify how the ultrasound is made. When spoken generally, the word ultrasound refers to a non invasive procedure, even from it's earliest stages.

  • @SrRulao The issue of payment for it matters because it's generally a procedure the woman wants to go through to make an informed decision between herself and her doctor about the details of the procedure. It's being put into a bill because it's seen as some sick moral dilemma that forcing a woman who needs to have an abortion to be guilted into having the child. If it was for the woman to make an informed decision, I'm not that against them paying. But this is sick, with a bill to boot.

  • @SrRulao A woman would be forced to pay for an ultra sound to look at the potential baby she is about to abort. How is that not invasive? It's the government not only forcing you to do something you don't want to, but also to pay for it to be done to you.

  • @blainealexander Under that standard any law/rule that you disagree or do not wish to abide is invasive, that's an unreasonable standard to take.

As to the payment, I agree it's bad, but then again, I don't support your private heath care system, I think it's a bad way to do things. Yet, not invasive.

  • @SrRulao There isn't any other law or rule like this. Especially since this rule isn't meant for any purpose other than to convince you to not go along any further with the procedure. Then on top of that for their agenda to convince you to not go along with it they force you to pay for it. If you refuse to pay for it then you can not have the procedure done anyway.

  • Not sure if any one mentioned this earlier but there would be a reason for this the main reason for s need for Viagra is prostate problems so technically the test could show if actually needed and not jest wanted

  • Talking about tight spots, a rectal exam will fit that procedure.

  • I assumed it was an anti gay thing at first.

  • Damn i Love Ana.

  • My senate is only 21% female? I'm almost more embarrassed about THAT than this bill. Almost.

  • @TheHunter14792 I agree that all abortions should have an ultrasound for medical reasons for the health of the mother. however there are states like texas who will only give an abortion if a transvaginal (probe/wand) ultrasound has occured. this scan is only occaisionaly needed if a clear image cant be gained from the standard ultrasound. to force women to undergo this on pain on not being granted an abortion is completely unethical and is equally as invasive as having an egyptian virginity test

  • Government making HEALTH RELATED DECISIONS - yeah, wonderful idea. People must give a big rectal exam to the government.

  • some one should cut off republicans' dicks off and them tell them, "sex for you is up the ass from now on."

  • The VA Senate is Split 20/20, Rep/Dem. This 21 opposed, 19 for, means all Rep and ONE Dem Voted down this Amendment. Most every controversial bill in the VA Senate will receive a 20/20 vote with the Lt Gov breaking the tie.

  • gotta love ana. smart enaugh & soo beautiful. good make up here too

  • Janet Howell was looking at the results of a rectal exam and she found a lot of Santorum.

  • @eqsmooth lmao nice.

  • Cenk said tight spot and I heard a giggle in the backround.

  • Gender equality can never be achieved in reproduction because (unsure if anyone noticed) men and women do that differently. Even if you worded something like an abortion bill to be equal ("anyone who gets pregnant can abort") it'd de facto be unequal, and that's not a bad thing by itself.

Hurting or inconviniencing constituents to "make a point" is bad politics and bad policy too though.
