The Today Show really doesn't set up their audio very professionally. Each performance has been so unbalanced. No diss to the boys, just think it doesn't do them justice is all.

This is totally true. They did better this time than in May (when Donnie's mic didn't work AT ALL in any of the sound checks, all the guys were asking about the levels, hearing the wrong feeds in their ears, etc.). I think the guys feel they owe the Today show, but honestly? For about a million reasons, they should go elsewhere in the morning. They AND the fans that turn out for them would be MUCH HAPPIER.

Just to be clear, I'm an NK fan that's been at every Today Show appearance (4/4, 5/16, 9/4). My complaints are ENTIRELY with Today, not the guys. I love them, they're great, it's Today that's got a whole boatload of issues. Can't wait for my concert on the 23RD!! LOVE NKOTB!

Donnie....soooooooo sexy!!! Joe doesn't have that squeeky voice anymore, so it's gonna sound alot different. Still love them though. Can't wait to see them when they come home to Boston on 9/28!!!!!! There's no place like Boston baby!!!!!

I love Joe's voice--but I agree that his mic was not set correctly--which made the chorus sound a little off. Oh ladies--if only we were the sound engineers, we'd get this stuff taken care of! I love these guys no matter what and can't wait to see them in Boston later this month. Thanks for posting this, koya106!

I'm sorry but for some reason I'm not liking Joey's vocals on 'Single' anymore!!! He can't ever make the opening lines sound good which ruins the song. His voice is weak in places and then to loud and out of key in other places lol

I agree, he did start the song slightly off key. But I won't say go as far as to say that he ruined the song. Still, we all expected more of Joey. Maybe he'll do better next time.

I agree. Joey started off that way too when they performed this same song on The View. On here he's the loudest drowning out the rest of the guys. It's like the only one with the smoothe voice in this performance is Ne-yo and Donnie, but that's live tv for you. lol Either way, I can't get enough of this song. I'm so happy the boys are back.

They are all not always perfect, but this time - you can't blame Joe for anything - when you onstage, and your part is first, and backsound is suddenly falls down - and you alone with your microphone - you can't sound rerfect! It is awful situation. I believe he would sing better acapella if there were no any backsound at all! And he was singing live in the musical - i think ofcourse he CAN sing.
