ehh not impressive ? he just made a whole bunch of 6dan guys look really easy to get men on. the ones that go to your countries as honoured guests.

I don't think it was that impressive at all. For me he does way too much blocking, stepping back. For 7th dan aren't you supposed to be able to read your opponent's mind and demonstrate high level oji waza such as nuki doh, men suriage men, kote kaeshi men etc. He still relies too much on his speed instead of timing to land his ippons. My thoughts.

...I can't tell it, but, to pass the graduation exam just technique don't count. you have to fawn a lot the examinators commitee. Presents, interests, dinners, etc. Very awlful and daunting...

that may be true, but that sounds like the hachidan exam to me. I'm sure he's putting a bit more than just his speed into this bout anyway.

He ddin't block much at all. He did Kaishi waza and suriage waza as well as some Makai Tsuki. Which is all good Kendo for Shinza.

Yah u guys are right ok. I of course don't know more than miyazaki and can't play kendo like him. It was more of a comment by a fan, but I guess kendo is not a sport.
I love Miyazaki myself and it wasn't an appropriate thing to say.
As u know many ppl don't like MIyazaki's kendo style because it's too "sporting". I think I was in a nit-picking phase and yah those thought shoulda stayed to myself.
Didn't mean to degrade him, he's still a god of kendo.
