Management uses you people as shield. You need to pass the anger to the management.If people bought the ticket then it is the responsibility of airline to provide the service unless there is a weather issue. Put yourself in those people's shoe.

I used to work in hotels and when people said they would cost me my job (usually over something like their room not being ready by check in time, or because they did not like the view from their room), I used to give them my name and suggest they report me to the manager or to the corporate office. Then, if they wrote it down, I would ask to see it so I could be sure it was spelled correctly. Pissed them off that I was not intimidated, at all.

Seems like I got accused for what I said. Weather is a classic excuse airliners use. I know pilots & flight attendants have no control over weather or technical related problems that cancel flights. But the truth is that there are times even they wonder if a cancellation is due to weather. If it is weather, dont just say weather, but prove it to passengers. Inability to explain properly is always a fault on airline stuff. Is airport closed completely?!
If a flight is cancelled, it's beyond a flight attendant control no matter how much passengers scream at them. They can't have the plane pushed back at their will. Even a pilot can't do that. if the airplane broke down, it's too bad too. It's beyond their control. if the plane, still take off even thou, everyone (including the passengers) know about it, anyone thinks about the consequences? up to 40,000ft up high isn't a joke if anything goes wrong.
For some people, a cancelled flight means a whole lot more than PAX can take. They can miss a corporate meeting, business opportunities, or they may be trying to get to their loved ones who are in hospitals. Apparently the lady's job in in jeopardy. Granted her response is outrageous, but that does not mean she is unreasonable. First of all, it is airline's duty to live up to the service customers buy. I dont think there is any excuse to it.
And there are a whole honest of reasons flights are cancelled. Let's say it's bad weather. What the hell is the airline supposed to do? If I was on plane where the pliots went into really bad weather I would sue them and the airline for putting my life in danger. Safety is above the wants of the passengers.

I dun think one of this event will affect SIA entirely. Flight cancellation is totally unpredictable. Who wants flight to be cancelled. It is not the passengers who are suffering, the entire from pilots to air crews and even probably SIA will suffer as well. Curse that lady who talked so rudely. Seems like I got accused for what I said. Weather is a classic excuse airliners use. I know pilots & flight attendants have no control over weather or technical related problems that cancel flights. But the truth is that there are times even they wonder if a cancellation is due to weather. If it is weather, dont just say weather, but prove it to passengers. Inability to explain properly is always a fault on airline stuff. Is airport closed completely?!

If a flight is cancelled, it's beyond a flight attendant control no matter how much passengers scream at them. They can't have the plane pushed back at their will. Even a pilot can't do that. if the airplane broke down, it's too bad too. It's beyond their control. if the plane, still take off even thou, everyone (including the passengers) know about it, anyone thinks about the consequences? up to 40,000ft up high isn't a joke if anything goes wrong.

For some people, a cancelled flight means a whole lot more than PAX can take. They can miss a corporate meeting, business opportunities, or they may be trying to get to their loved ones who are in hospitals. Apparently the lady's job in in jeopardy. Granted her response is outrageous, but that does not mean she is unreasonable. First of all, it is airline's duty to live up to the service customers buy. I dont think there is any excuse to it.

If I was on plane where the pliots went into really bad weather I would sue them and the airline for putting my life in danger. Safety is above the wants of the passengers.
