It's been forever since I've looked at this video. Glad it helped some people. If you want to see what I've been doing lately, check out my new channel, josephpaul2.
Thanks for a great tutorial on how to play the chords.
Your strumming sounds great - a really catchy rhythm. I see you said a while back that you'd try to do another video to teach us how to do it -- any chance of that please??
i wish you could not let the guitar neck drop out of frame. not to critisize, its just the neck moves so much, my eyes are chasing the positioning, and its hard to follow. sorry....
I appreciate this lesson but could you show us the arpigiated part at the point of the song when it says Its that little souvenir wich I think is the chorus?.There seems to be arpigiating going on there not just strumming
Just wanted to say I think you're quite talented and have a very eclectic musical taste which I appreciate. I live in Austin too. Do you ever play around town? In a band?
Thanks!! Been playing this on bass since day one, but just recently got into the guitar part. This is literally one of my fav songs; I got Reading/etc, on vinyl, then cassette, and then CD, when they were released, respectively. *haha*
Just wondering if you can break down the strumming pattern for this song. I can't seem to figure it out. Thank-you for putting this up. I love this song.
Thanks very much for clarifying those chords. After I wrote them down in tab form, it was clear what you had transcribed for us all. The chord changes are subtle, but distinct and you really helped.
This is great tutorial. As a beginner also I was wondering how long it should take a true novice to learn this... Chord transition is still a bit difficult for me...
It could take a while depending on the person. Just keep practicing it slowly, eventually the transitions will become easy. They key with guitar is just to keep playing, a little everyday if you can.
I love your lesson on this great Sundays song. But, as a beginner, I have trouble hearing the fast strum pattern, - could you please explain as in Duduud etc. Then a beginner can slow it till it comes more natural. I'd really appreciate this!

Awesome! I love the "Sundays'" chords, all those open strings, and 9ths and maj7ths. You've got a great bouncy strum feel. Thanks for the lesson!

Thanks for posting this... the rhythm in this song is killer, it's hard to strum if you aren't a very experienced player.

Sure mate, I'll do a slower version of the strumming pattern. Just give me a few weeks and I'll get it up :)
