  • i luv this, very funny! how refreshing it is to see a mental health professional who takes patients feelings and experiences seriously. and of course, the horrors of medication! medication is a short term solution. problem is, there are too little mental health professionals who know how to adequately deal with feelings and horrendous family situations. so sad, people just gotta wise up!

  • FLOURIDE that nasty waste chemical left over from the NUCLEAR industry (amongst others) that they put in the water supply in U.S.A., Britain and Australia.

Not only does this shit take away 15% of your I..Q., speed up onset of Parkinsons/Altsheimers, take away your life-confirming Libido and other passions and many other horrors. IT CALCIFIES YOUR PINEAL GLAND. Otherwise known as your 3rd eye. It turns the seat of your soul to calcified dust.

It ate my God conciousness and numbed my intuition

  • 1 st class observation of the pill-popping care of psychiatry.

I have seen several doctors because I want to stop taking Prozac, they are all happy to help me and insist that I will need something to replace them.

I told one that Prozac has given me suicidal ideation and depression and that if I try to stop - I get horrible facial and body tics. To which he answered, "Oh, You must need them then."

After 10 years of obedient swallowing I now know that 30% of Prozac is FLOURIDE continued....

  • Thanks. Keep your sense of humor!

  • Your songs are horribly true! Thank you thank you thank you for making them!

  • Yes, there is a pill for every ill. They often have serious adverse effects esp for longterm use and people end up much worse than the started out. Then there is so much damage done that they don't even know it has happened. Keep singing!

  • Hope you don't mind but I posted this to my facebook page. Yes, David is one of my favorite people in the world and so are you.

  • Awesome video :-)

  • Very fitting that you used a tune that made a political statement in the '60's to fight another political battle - I love it!!!

  • Boo on Medication!!! Yay on Meditation!!! Im Serious!!!

  • This is good. The gangstalkers need pills.

  • this is great...

    thanks !!

  • I do hope you add in the chorus suggested by Austineglantine. I found this via a facebook link, and appreciate the humor. The drugs themselves have caused me more issues than any "mental health illnesses" I was to have had. Turns out it was all physical, nothing mental.

Now my liver is fried and my family still refuses to believe my back is broken because they are the ones who felt I could never be happy enough. Oh joy.

    Please continue your work

  • sounds like cat stevens

  • Great vid! It's only meditation for me.

  • .....there are no pharmaceuticals and treatment of mental health is very low on their list of priorities.

If you come off be carefull if your drug works the opposite way in lower doses, such as Sulpiride which between 0mg and 150mg is pre-synaptic re-uptake inhibitor of dopamine (so it stimulates dopamine), only above dosage of 150mg does it block dopamine (post synaptic).

  • excellent points, yimmery---thanks for sharing them---Daniel

  • The FDA black box on smoking cessation drugs such as Zyban and Chantix is now suicide, depression and hostility.

This is because in the courtroom drug companies cant as easily say "It would have happened anyway" as they where intended for smokers not depressed people.

Zyban is the Wellbutrin antidepressant SSRI chemichal Bupropion repackaged. Its not official yet but template that over all psychiatric medication.

  • i'm going to quit zyprexa .. but i feel i 'll be unfair cuz really it makes normal but weight gain and risk of diabetes 's too much.. and ofcourse price ... any suggestions here .. can i control my schizophrenia without medication

  • well, therapy can help in many cases---if you find a good therapist. it can be risky to taper off meds without a doctor's help---usually doctors help people taper very slowly. tapering too fast can induce a reactive psychosis.

  • @wackothug88 Try TRUEHOPE supplement

  • @wackothug88 coeliac can aggravate/cause psychosis, so avoiding gluten can help more than would be thought possible. mercury fillings can also cause many mental health issues in my opinion. tai chi is very grounding mentally. a low g.i. natural diet free of pesticides and additives/preservatives. avoiding wi-fi, personal care and household chemicals, recreational drug use and prescription meds when possible.

  • @wackothug88

There is an article called Hearing Voices by Dirk Corstens. Have a look :)

  • Hi, I agree except your line "They make you feel good" doesn't really apply in a lot of cases. Psych drugs can make you feel horrible that's why people get FORCED to take them. You can read my story by searching for "Benzos and ssris, Rose's story of addiction and withdrawal" Rose

  • i agree---meds can make lots of people feel rotten. the line "they make you feel good" is intended tongue in cheek---which is always risky with an awful subject like psych meds!!

  • that's a relief Dan! Maybe you could try "they make you feel bad" as a wild card on one chorus, asI may not be the only one who misses the tongue in cheek bit. I am a member of ICSPP and noticed the article about you in the Bulletin which is why I searched out your song. Please do read my story. Best Rose

  • i will read your story. and you're right---you're almost surely not the only one to miss the tongue in cheek part. if i record it again i'll take your advice!

    all the best,

    daniel

  • rose,

i just read your story---intense. (and well-written.) sadly, i hear too many of these stories. i wish EVERYONE who went through the horror you did would also publish their stories... the world would change FASTER then!

    best,

    daniel

  • Great! Our Pharmacology lecturer showed this in class last week.

  • That is too cool! Thanks for sharing this!

    -Daniel

  • It's a good video and I'll show it to my abnormal psyc class...but please I wish you could make a disclaimer that says sometimes folks really need this medicine and it could make the difference between living in hell and living a normal life. Maybe another video?

  • Thanks. Hmm, on the subject on "needing" medication. I believe that if there is such a thing as "needing" medication, it's only in the context of a totally backward mental health system that offers SO many people nothing in the way of decent alternatives---so for them, recovery is not an option at all---just being tranquilized on dangerous meds. In a better system there would be no "need" for these dangerous medications at all.

    more in a second...

  • We need more holistic, non-invasive types of care: deep empathy, good diet & nutritional help, safe, quality independent housing, GOOD therapy (if they want it), enough money to keep them out of poverty, good work opportunities, herbal supplements and vitamins, good social support systems, peer counseling, & all in a context of a system that understands the traumatic roots of mental problems, & doesn't blame it on chemical problems

With all these things in place I see no need for meds at all.

  • We need all that you say...and meds too. Do you believe that schizophrenia, results from the "traumatic roots of mental problems"? If you grow a brain tumor and it affects your ability to make decisions because it's in the prefrontal cortex will you vote for surgery or holistic treatment? Do you not understand that something wrong with the brain can cause problems of the mind? . Most psychotropic drugs are NOT tranquilzing. All herbal supplements are not safe. Please reconsider your views.

  • hi lynn,

i'll try to answer your questions. my posting was mostly referring to more serious psychiatric diagnoses, like schizophrenia, so i agree, all psych drugs are not tranquilizing. but certain most given for psychotic disorders are---and risk causing serious brain damage.

i do believe that schizophrenia has largely traumatic roots, though other factors do have an influence.

    more in a moment...

  • your question about a brain tumor sounds like a straw man question (and i say this gently!)---of course the answer is not therapy or good housing...surgery is more likely. though i do consider surgery to be part of holistic care in some medical cases. but i do not consider most psychiatric conditions to be medical---emotional instead.

  • more: yes, of course brain problems can cause problems of the mind. in that vein, i have worked with many people with brain damage FROM the psych meds they've taken to "treat" their emotional problems! this brain damage most certainly affects their emotions and mental state!

on your last point: i agree that all herbal supplements are not safe or healthy, so you have no argument with me there! i just know that in some cases they have be helpful to people. (you probably agree with this!!)

  • I think I like it.

    LMAO

    brilliant?

  • hi all---

thanks for all the kind comments---it was fun to write the song and fun to record too!

the lyrics might sound cynical, but i'm deadly serious!!

america is psychologically addicted to these drugs---and their damage is immense

    -daniel

  • so funny

  • Hey Daniel, I roll on the flour :-) and I hope you remember me. Woolfgang from Germany - and a great Miller-Fan :-) Can you send me a pink pill? :-) Maybe two - my daughter like PINK :-) And I like DANIEL Pink: "A whole new mind". Is that possible? Please give a comment :-) Send you a PN.

  • yes, i do remember you! alas, i have no pink pills to send you---safer to just eat a cotton candy jelly bean instead! tastes better, and no serious risks.

    -daniel

  • Words cannot begin to describe how awesome this video is. TY.

  • This is BRILLIANT!!!

  • yeah thx for sending it to me! Wait until RIck Simpson sees it!

  • LOL. Ever so true Daniel. Thank God we can laugh in the face of so much suffering. Dr. Watson

  • That was a nauseating song. Very true tho so you get 5 stars ;>
