  • 5:23 that is why it is called the bitch

  • not gonna lie, I got a bit hard by looking at those specs

  • the logitech g500 mouse is cool, but since the g19 can change LEDs, the g300 mouse can do the same. I wish the g500 did too.

  • My keyboard is almost as good as yours, I have the G510, the only negative is the monochrome screen which is the same programmable color as the backlit keys, I do have 6 more macro keys than you, but honestly that's the only tentative one-up I have on you.

  • My computer is better than yours.

    i5 2500K 5Ghz.

    8GB Vengeance ram

    12TB total drive space.

    128GB Corsair Force SSD.

    Dual GTX560 Ti

    Corsair 600T

    Better sorta.

  • Hmm... you probably have a better computer than I have....

    Goddammit! >_<

  • whing! 2:47, i thought that was funny.

  • Nice binary clock.

  • nice but can it run notepad?

  • Jon do you sell the parts from the old one?

  • Dude, how do you afford all this?

  • That is a hell of a computer jon, these are mine,

    8gb ram 1333mhz

    Gtx 520

    Intel i5 2400

    1tb hdd

    Kngston 64gb ssd

    Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit.

  • No need for me to upgrade. Just running the old compaq 1.7ghz amd processor, but she is running windows 7 ulimate with only 32 megs of video ram. 768megs of ram and the old faithful 80 gig hard drive. Why upgrade a pc when it running a great 2002 year made wd 80gig hard drive? Works like a charm for me.

  • @jetson213 im guessing you have never touched a decent computer

  • @mattcopani What a shame, there is no such thing as a GTX 520. but better luck next time bro.

  • @123321theunknown Yes there is a GTX 520...

  • @jpmac098 I believe you mean a GT 520

  • Nice Raiders Poster!!!!

  • too much thermal paste but nice build :P

  • my one is better than yours because it doesn't say start up repair! lol

  • That's seriously badass. The fastest PC I've ever had was a 3.0 GHZ Dell Dimension 3000 with a 250GB HDD. Intel graphics, and yet it plays Halo CE like a boss.

  • I bet that graphics card has more power than my entire computer system

  • OMG, YOU BLEW MY FUCKING MIND!

  • lol i didnt understand half the things u said but u seemed so happy!

  • I'm posting on a lagtop and i game on it ...shit sucks HARD

  • Jon, bro. That PC looks sexy.

  • Holy crap these comments are giving me a headache....you have to be a robot or something to understand all those numbers and specs and whatever.

  • @purifiedhollow It's like me with car names, celebrities, guns, and that stuff.

If you enjoy a subject, you'll know about it. :)

  • @PhysicsTowerTeam True that. True that.

  • lmfao nicee

  • Get that new 4gb GPU for the bitch 5.0 :)

  • Why you pay 1000 $ for an i7? Amd phenom 2 x6 black edition is about 400 $ and is a lot faster ;-)

  • @mas90009 Huh??? I said only yesterday that the AMD Phenom II X6 is not faster than the 980X. Even overclocked to the max, the X6 isn't even close. Even AMD's newest FX-8150 is far behind.

At the time, the 980X was EASILY the fastest processor in the world (the second fastest was the 975 which wasn't even 70% as fast). That, and the fact that Jon really needed that extra performance, is the reason he spent $1000 on the 980X.

  • im looking through comments on a video i officially have no life =/

  • @ARJHaloRadio lol everyone giving u shit over the 100 watt mistake! decent rig tho

  • In terms of hardware,I think you have the best computer in the world. As for software it's debatable.

  • U got a point yours is better

  • nice computer! do u kno anywhere i can get the chassis?

  • By the way, why did it go to startup repair?

  • omg must hold geeky urges to brag...... Nooooo!

My pc is packed with an 8 core AMD fx 3.2 GHz

    16 GB DDR3 1600 ram

    Dual SLI GeForce 450 GDDR5 1gb each

    BLU-RAY player with lightscribe

ALL TOGETHER ONLY 950 BUCKS BITCHES

I'm sorry you had to hear my passive aggressive side kick in lol

  • @koolaidguy23 pretty good.

  • my computer is better lol. idc how much money you spent on yours :)

  • EEEEEEEEK!!! NO ANTI-STATIC WRIST STRAP!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing machine" im jealous

  • Jon:my computer is better than yours

Me:*looks at computer* yes it is

  • @EchoedTruth - Are you comparing price-points from today, or what they were 18 months ago? And just because you disagree on *two* parts of an entire machine doesn't make it a "lame build", but nice try dude.

  • @Jon Didn't notice the date. My bad bro, don't come at me :/

  • @EchoedTruth I hope you're trolling. The X6 is greatly outperformed by the 2500k, let alone a 980x. AMD processors are crap.

  • @EchoedTruth No, no, no. The Phenom II X6 is comparable in peak performance to a Core i7 930, depending on the programs used.

Six cores does not make the X6 as fast as a 980X, which is probably about 75% faster.

Also, the 580 is faster than the 6970, plus it supports GPU acceleration in Premiere Pro CS5 which the 6970 does not.

  • @EchoedTruth Are you actually joking? the Phenom X6 gives less performance than an i5 2500k, let alone the legendary 980x, stop talking out of your ass, do some research

  • @123321theunknown Legendary? Wow... we got a fanboi here. And yea, at the end of the day... the benches aren't that far apart. Spend $1k on a cpu, or get near-similar performance for $150? Hmm...

  • @EchoedTruth I'm sorry, its not even nearly the same performance, and i'm not a fanboy, but i can accept that intel makes higher quality CPU's, the 980x is one of the greatest CPU's out oday

  • @EchoedTruth Are you just an AMD fanboy or something? 580 will kick the 6970 into the middle of next week granted the 6970 might be better when dealing with something like 2560 x 1600 resolution or triple screen HD gaming due to the extra vram, but the 580 is still a killer card & generally better than the 6970 in all tests. also the Phenom X6 although good doesn't even compare with the 980x, hence why they come in at $200 or whatever it is in the States as they closer in performance to a i7 950

  • @EchoedTruth Actually, you cant compare AMD to Intel, and i7 has the best performance of all processors and it only costs roughly about 350$

  • @EchoedTruth The Phenom II x6 will NOT give you similar performance... Just saying.

  • @EchoedTruth AMD fanboy?.... btw two 6970s would be over 600 dollars, run hotter, and would use more power compared to a 580 which is around 450 dollars and runs much more efficiently than those AMD cards in Xfire....

  • NO MAI CUMPOOTER IZ WAHN MEELEEONE TIMESES BESTERS UMAD BRO? CUM AHT MII

  • no, your computer isnt better than mine because I dont have one. HA!

(for the context of this joke I dont have a computer but I really do have one and your computer is better than mine)

  • And I thought my computer was good! Even from a year ago this looks way too expensive. $6000? Mine's almost as good and it cost $1500.

  • @sikmenios It's 6k total, includingthe first build he ever did (circa 2003/4) and the builds since. Basically, it's every rig he's ever built.

  • @sikmenios - No, it isn't. The monitors alone cost me $1200 when I bought them.

  • @Jon OK apart from simmilar GPU and CPU, (phenom II x6) and the monitor (single 27'' LG LED) and with better MBO my 2 grand build is very simmilar to your specs, + I do have 10 gigs of RAM but at 1600 MHz). So, yeah, I to dislike this build, especially considering you're not a gamer (or IDK maybe you are). If that's true why build g19 and gamer mouse ? :S oh and I also have SSD for DOS and chipset and other drivers.

  • @Blistio11 - Well, I am a gamer... and two -- what's wrong with owning the gaming mouse/keyboard? I want/need/use all of those extra buttons. Keep in mind, this build is over 18 months old now, so prices have dropped -- and I need the performance for editing.

Sounds to me like you're trying to brag, and/or justified your bloated purchase when all you do is game?

  • @Jon I do understand your opinion, but I don't like your attitude about how you decided to conclude thagt I use my rigg just for gaming. Actually I'm 3D designer, working in catia, rhinocerous and auto-cad. And I do like when there's no lagg while playing GTA 4 on high :D So I don't hate you or anything, I still think you're an awesome youtuber :D p.s. why did ou buy soundblaster 5.1 since your MBO supports 5.1 surround ?

  • @Jon Hey Jon what monitors are those? I know there Dell monitors, Are they U2711's by any chance? Or U2410? Also nice PC dude, glad you upgrade the hot and noisey 480 to the 580

  • You have such an awesome computer!! Also, how were you able to run 1 operating system on 2 hard drives including the solid state drive?

  • @stevethemeave45 He installed the OS on the SSD, and used the HDD for storage. ;)

  • It is my quest, to build a computer, that is better than yours.

  • Dude, sweet hardware! You gotta have the good shit, man! =D

Is there a way to upgrade a laptop? I don't really know much about how to do that sort of stuff.

  • The main computer that my family uses has been having some problems lately. We got it back from the repair shop a couple of weeks ago, but whenever I try to restart it, sometimes the Welcome screen never shows up, and I can't access Task Manager or anything.

  • I have a mid-2011 iMac, 21.5" screen running on OS X 10.7 Lion. It has a quad-core Intel Core i7 at 2.8 GHz, 8GB of memory, an ATI Radeon HD 6770M 512MB graphics card. Finally, I use a set of Logitech Z4 speakers and a Blue Snowball microphone.

  • Great this is me being jelous right here <<< I can't wait to upgrade my own system of course although I've got to say I'm more of an AMD guy myself but hands down newegg.com is the best for parts and if your extra geeky like me and add all sorts of fun cathodes and things Xoxide.com is the best for case mods.

  • I like those alien ware keyboards that you can change the color on better. But yeah your hardwares better, but my os is better. Go OS X Lion!!!

  • @ccm4181 booo!!!

  • Windows 7 is stupid crap I hate. It is a Total Shit that we don't need to buy. Microsoft, You failed to Make Vista a Piece of Shit and 7 so Fucking Awesome.

Windows 7's T*ts are on Fucking Fire.

Thumbs Up If u Hate Windows 7's T*ts!

My Favorite Version of Windows is Windows 98 SE!

    Worst is Windows 7!!!

    :)

  • @Kil33r120 meh i prefer xp but as far as i know xp is 32 bit and cant take more then 4 gig ram so thats the ONLY reason i prefer 7 cuz vista is crap

  • nice glasses..lol

  • can i have it

  • I upgraded my computer fairly recently for Battlefield 3. Easily my pride and joy of the upgrade was my Liquid Cooled GTX 580 GPU. I have as yet to get a decent video editing program for it as I'm not sure which to get, considering I'm switching from Mac to PC, but I can't wait to see how much faster it can render 720p HD. Any suggestions program wise?

  • @DemonWithAHumanHeart If you are planning on getting Photoshop, then I'd recommend none other than Premiere Pro/Elements. Otherwise, Sony Vegas Pro/Platinum is just as good.

  • How much was that SSD when you bought it? It would be like $150 today I can't even imagine today.

  • do u have a binary watch! =D

  • I need to give you props on one awesome thing, you take time to still respond to each video regardless of how old it is. seeing "Jon 3 days ago" just makes it awesome because you're interacting with your fans.

and btw yes...i did get a boner.

  • I LOLED at I don't mean to brag but my computer is probably better than yours :p

  • Jons PC is better then yours. End of story.

I believe I just finished the arguments. Have a nice day.

  • you speaking sounds nerdy/geeky :-)

  • where did you get all the pieces .. is bhphotovideo good? and i want to get adobe premiere pro cs5.5 .. it costs 400 $ in bhphotovideo and 800$ in adobe.. so ya do you think bhphotovideo is good enough to get the pieces and adobe premiere pro cs5.5.. cause i only have the cs4 .... :(

  • @karimspiano - This was all purchased from NewEgg, JUST LIKE I SAID.

  • @Jon oh you also got premiere from newegg?

  • jon how many seconds does it take for your computer to start up?

  • @josia75 Quite fast. He has an SSD :P

But, I doubt he keeps it on most of the time. No point in leaving it off all of the time....

  • @josia75 - Maybe like 30 - 45... ?

  • hah @ 1:12 Politically incorrect joke is politically incorrect!!

  • the only thing that makes urs better then mine is the i7 980

  • What do you do with the parts you take out? the CPU/ Graphics card ...etc.

  • @PlayingPanda He sells them.

  • Daaang duude your computer is definitely better than mine.

  • awesome :O

  • Is it a good idea to microwave this?

  • Intel® Core™ i7-2600 quad-core processor, 3.4 GHz

1 TB SATA II, 7200 rpm

1 GB AMD Radeon HD 6670 graphics

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I was looking at a computer with these components in it and was wondering what i could run with them, i dont know much about computers so if anyone could respond to me i would greatly appreciate it. OH, and im a pc gamer so what kind of games could i run?

  • @xXJOEPOTXx everything and only a select few would be at less then uber setting (like battlefield 3)

  • for that money, i would've got myself a HP Elitebook 8560W or 8760W, use the rest of the money into share's and try to double it :). but really, though, that fucking insane specs

  • @360ThickQuinking360 He's a video editor. I'm sure those elite books won't have the power for what he does everyday. :)

  • 2 gay dudes talking about dicks & boners, hehehe.

  • You know who's computer is better than yours? My one

You know who's keyboard cooler than my one? Yours

  • @LOLfilms100 so what are your computer specs then?

  • @LucMathlin Its a custom built one

    windows 7 64bit and windows 8 dev 64 bit

    i7 Processor Extreme Edition

    2 IZ3D H220z1 screens

    50tb hdd

    10GB ram

    SAPPHIRE HD 6990 Graphics card

  • @LOLfilms100 50 TB HDD? hmm, shoud rearly have a SSD in there, after reading a lot of reviews the best GPU for gameing isnt the 6990, its the ati 6950, it runs better gives a better average FPS and dont "micro pause" like the 6990 is reported to have + if your just playing games why do you need a i7 Extream edition ?? thats more of a workstation processor, a i7 sandy bridge is proberbly about the same speed for gameing that a i7 extream edition, bit OTT if you ask me, more money than sense.

  • @LOLfilms100 My pc is also custom build, but its more of a video eding pc than gameing, it runs a 6 core AMD FX, 16GB DDR3 ram, GTX 470, 2x 1.5TB HDD on raid 1, 1x 120GB SSD running windows 7 64bitt

  • Nope I disagree yours was put together poorly. i.e. thermal paste is only ment to fill small imperfection in the face of the heat sink, because the best way to transfer heat is metal on metal, so if you had small imperfections like dips and such these would reduced the area of the heat sink toching the CPU thus reducing heat transfer between CPU and heats sink

  • @karlking1995 - You must be illiterate, because I clearly mentioned in the video that the thermal paste I applied was exactly the amount directed in the manual that came with the CPU.

But hey, thanks for being an ass.

  • @Jon Fine have it the way a manual states but what I have said is true.

  • @Jon hey, he said nothing that deserved for him to be called an ass, not cool jon

  • @ludtke337 - Except, he went out of his way to say I was wrong, when I wasn't... that makes him an ass.

  • @Jon you're wrong, he's right, deal with it :D

  • @Blistio11 - Except, he's not.

    / SO THERE'S THAT.

  • @Jon I know, just wanted you to reply me 'cause I like your work here on youtube :D

  • @ludtke337

Jon reacts bluntly, and he is to the point..

It will take you a few weeks to get used to. Have fun!

  • @karlking1995 Yes, absolutely you need the paste to help transfer the heat.

The metal on the cooling fan and the metal on the CPU "sounds" like it should transfer heat just fine (I mean what better heat conductor than metal is there), but there is a reason every computer manufacturer in the world uses it. Why take a chance over a 1-5 dollar tube of cream.

  • @Hayeshacker0NE Yes exactly But the whole purpose of thermal pastes is to fill in all the imperfections to give a better contact thus better heat transfer, at least we actuly got some inteligence on you tube not a load of stuck up arse holes.

  • @karlking1995 but if u put to much the excess will be forced out the sides so why does it matter exactly how much u use?

  • @emerybryant By any chance did you read my other comments properly, they explained why, but if I have to explain again I will. The best kind of contackt between the heat sink and the CPU is metal on metal, not a layer of thermal paste, thermal paste is designed to fill in the tiny or mircoscopic imperfections in both the CPU face and the heat sink face which may also have difficult to see indentations or dimples so the thermal paste fill in these to provide a bettter surface contact

  • @emerybryant Ita all about Heat disipation and It make sence when you think about a metal on metal contact it has a better heat disipation, If you have ever touche the bottom of a heat sink it is very cold, now think about putting a piece of fabric over the heat sink face and touch it again its still cold but not as much as it was without the fabric substitue the fabric as thermal paste and the hand or face you put the heat sink on of for a cpu, Catch my drift 83

  • icore i7 extreme (thats a sixth of what you payed for your modifications) :O

  • @Jonathanp93 He didn't say he was overclocking it ^^

And yes, I understand how someone would be crazy to not OC their CPU, if it's unlocked. He bought it mostly for video editing anyway (The primary reason)

  • @Jonathanp93 The stock one that came with the CPU is pretty beefy. Plus, the stock is for the stock CPU. I don't think is going to over clock it, so the HSF is sufficient :)

  • Here comes Sandy Bridge Extreme November 15th.

  • Yeah your computer is better than mine. I built mines about 10 mounthes a go. It has a quad core i5 750/ GTS250 graphics/ western dig HD/red glowing fans/ 4g mem....but it is a very good gaming computer.

  • nah my pc is more expensive than yours and better than yours :D:D

  • Hey jon, I am also building a computer and considering switching to solid state drives as the main source for the OS and currently, I have a 2tb hdd as the main source. I do want to know, how you go about using 120gb ssd and when installing programs like video editing and games, I've read forums saying sometimes, the program will install some component files into the SSD and the rest into the HDD, have you gotten any problems having the files in 2 separate drives?

  • 12gigs ram? pppsh... My desktop has 48! overkill ftw

  • Was the mouse built in with the Logitech G19?

  • I've recently bought a new PC to replace my 4-year-old laptop: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, GeForce GTS 450, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB SATA HDD. For only £500 (about $800).

Thought it would be nice to post my PC specs rather than feed the PC vs Mac flame war.

  • @gmmatthew1 The 6 core Phenom II is a very nice CPU, but the GTS 450 might be quite the bottlenecker. I would reccommend upgrading to an AMD Radeon HD 6850 or 6870 if you're on a budget, or the 6970 if you have a fairly large budget. but if you're rich enough, go for the best GPU out there, the 6990.

  • @Crysis482 how about the asus mars II?

  • @gmmatthew1 PC is better! NO mac is better! who gives a shit? they are the same thing they do the same thing BUT one costs more. nice rig btw for the price

  • Thing is, this PC build is still a hell of a beast !!

  • Intel Core i5 2500

    GTX 550

  • @TechCrack custum graphics card

    custom prossecer

    costom every thing else

    over 90 motherboards

    200,000$

  • That's a really nice computer. Mine has some better specs though.

  • lmfao .. it'll take me a year on my stupid fucking minimum wage job to buy parts for this .. how many bugs did you have to fix to get your computer working? i built my old one with my dad like 5 yrs ago which was pretty powerful at the time and it was buggy as hell for the first 4 weeks .. kept getting blue screen every other half hour .. if you installed video cards in a crossfire it wud've been sweet

  • good job, making my computer look like childs play :(

    lol 750AX, 1 TB HDD, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, ASUS Z-68-V, Intel i7 2600K, Corsair H80 and an EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti....

  • nice PC but mines better

  • But will it blend?

  • @ 3:45 my penis been hard like steel....

  • is he a pedophile..?

  • I HAVE THIS KEYBOARD!!!

  • i will steal your processor

  • When is the Bitch 5.0 comming?

  • lol i was happy when i upgraded from a dual core laptop to a AMD Quad-Core 2.8GHz and Geforce 9500GT

  • ???

  • @samuels27921

    No one cares.

  • i disliked cause of the "living mexican" joke

  • @SitOnYouProductions I disliked your comment.

  • @SimenBergh Like i give two shits?

  • @SitOnYouProductions You obviously care at a certain degree, after all you took the time to leave a comment about it.

  • @SimenBergh ˙ʇı ʇnoqɐ ʇuǝɯɯoɔ ɐ ǝʌɐǝן oʇ ǝɯıʇ ǝɥʇ ʞooʇ noʎ ןןɐ ɹǝʇɟɐ 'ǝǝɹƃǝp uıɐʇɹǝɔ ɐ ʇɐ ǝɹɐɔ ʎןsnoıʌqo noʎ

  • Is that Muskin Blackline RAM? If so, very good choice :P

  • The way you apply thermal paste is not the best method, a lot of air bubbles will be trapped inside the paste when you put the heatsink in place. The air bubbles will drastically reduce the heat transfer between the processor and heatsink, this will affect the temperature of the processor with 10-15 degrees. You won't get decreased performance, but you can expect a noticeble decrease in the predicted lifetime.

  • @SimenBergh The best method is described here arcticsilver(dot)com(slash)intel_application_method.html#

  • Glad you went the SSD route.

  • but will it blend?

  • nasa wants there fucking computer back lol

  • the same mouse l ike me ^^

  • You're right, your computer is better than mine, but I"m happy with my MacBook Pro 13", Mid-2010 with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory, and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB graphics. I'm perfectly mine with it :)

  • For the love of god I hope you keep this thing cool. I kept mine just a bit too warm and now the processor is falling down a slope of multiple breaks in the microscopic circuitry of the processor- each one making it overheat MORE. Granted it's been four years, but still. If you're going to spend 2k+ on a computer make sure everything stays below recommended temperatures even under heavy load.

  • NVIDIA graphics cards are great and all, but the issue is that their drivers are proprietary which makes it complicated to execute graphic-intensive programs.

That's why I'm not a huge fan of NVIDIA, because everything is proprietary. I'm more of a free software enthusiast.

  • I can't wait for bitch 5.0
